What do you like best about IBM Blueworks Live?

Blueworks is simply the easiest tool to show a great deal of complexity to multiple teams. It's intuitive, does exactly what it should and does it well. It helps us from process design all the way through training and support, in a fraction of the time, and with better results. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM Blueworks Live?

We would like to have more than one start bubble. And we tend to add images to our flows so we run out of space. We'd rather pay more for filespace because that's easier to add to a budget than try to create more users since we are a small company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is IBM Blueworks Live solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are planning multiple large software programs that touch multiple teams, geographies and personnel levels. We also have many new team members and limited tribal knowledge. Blueworks is letting us document As-IS processes in real time, and leverage that work to design new processes. We use the audit capabilities to ensure thoroughness. We use the problems tabs instead of a project issue list - this saves time because we aren't all scratching our head about what an issue in a spreadsheet was supposed to mean. We can see right in the flow where the question is relevant. We're sharing the systems with the architecture design teams, and using the experts to build resource plans. We're using experts to look for where we only have a single expert and need to train. And we can share high level processes with executive level participants and drill in to detailed questions using the documentation sections. Everyone understands the whole process and can visualize what's happening. It's just a more intuitive, functional way to collaborate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I personally found the tool to be very intuitive. Having come from using tools like Visio, Blueworks was very simple for me to pick up and run with. Training the rest of my team was super simple, with collaboration between team members being in real time making documentation a breeze. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I feel that the exporting documentation is overly complex. There needs to be a way to share content produced on the platform for others to view without necessitating licenses or license fees. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It saves time. We're a small team, working in a complex and global organisation. The ability to quickly capture and visualise processes and ways of working enhances our ability to collaborate in real time, and shortens the problem analysis phase. - Offered as a SaaS, so no concerns with installing and maintaining it on prem.

- Very easy to invite collaborators.

- Very easy to collaborate on the tool.

What do you dislike about IBM Blueworks Live?
