The hierarchy makes sense and the ability to assign tasks and review them across workspaces is amazing. It's something that has been a gap for me in other task programs and it works well here. **What do you dislike about Spinach AI?** Collaborating can be a bit quirky. Sometimes I'll update an item while someone else is viewing it and the update will appear someplace random on the list of talking points. There is no way to see a running log of what's been discussed, you have to look at each historic meeting one at a time which can be annoying when you know something happened, but are not sure when. **What problems is Spinach AI solving and how is that benefiting you?** Keeping meetings organized and tracking tasks that come from meetings. It's being used for most recurring meetings and 1v1s. It's provided a solid structure for how these meeting should run across the company and has brought everyone into the same process. ### 2. It makes it easy to understand the status of those tasks and also to share ideas between teams and groups so that brilliant ideas that come up during meetings turn into actionable goals and tasks benefiting our customers and improving our product. **What do you dislike about Spinach AI?** The hyper context interface is designed for collaboration which is great, however, I have seen some times when this collaborative interface has led to slightly un-expected errors or confusion as teams have attempted to work off of hypercontext sheets that are not all in perfect sync. **What problems is Spinach AI solving and how is that benefiting you?** My team is constantly meeting to discuss problems and decide on next steps and solutions. Love the ability to drop items to the agenda from anywhere on the we. Super helpful to not forget little things, and I feel like it's much easier to enrich our talking points with data and insights with Hypercontext being available everywhere. I can easily grab a screenshot / link and drop it there on the fly. The "past agendas" archive is an amazing resource we never really had before. It's so easy to go back and look at notes of how decisions were made or what was the process and steps taken. The Goals feature is keeping us on our toes, encouraging progress, and allowing for timely updates. We love the variety of measurement options, the SUPER EASY flow there, and the overall experience. Thank you for adding the live preview of note-taking - huge game changer!!! OUTSTANDING support team - super attentive to questions and feedback! **What do you dislike about Spinach AI?** The fact that goals are tied to a specific meeting and cannot be shared (for example, if we wanna track a shared goal between 2 departments - multiple measurements for each team) = makes goals less powerful than they could be. I also wish there was a connection between goal details and next steps. When we first started using it, there were quite a few features that were either missing or needed to be thought through again, but the Hypercontext team is constantly introducing new functionality and updating previous functionality to be better. We've recently started using it for performance reviews and while it's not perfect yet, I'm sure it will be an awesome tool that we'll continue to use in the near future. **What do you dislike about Spinach AI?** With the many options for notes and follow-ups on meeting notes, navigating the interface takes some getting used to. There aren't any convenient keyboard shortcuts that I'm aware of. Goals and their pairing with the performance management components can be a little wonky as well. They don't show up in a convenient way when completing a performance review (during my self-assessment at least). One major thing that is missing is specific functionality for one-off meetings, everything (that I'm aware of) is tailored to recurring meetings, which is very useful, but I have more one-offs than recurring meetings. They are pretty good about addressing things like this though, so I don't anticipate these things being a problem for long. **What problems is Spinach AI solving and how is that benefiting you?** Having a single place to host all of our company's meeting minutes is nice. It means that we can quickly check notes from a previous meeting, know where we can add items that require discussion during a meeting, and more. The centralization and sharing of the notes is great. As far as performance management, we switched from Paycor and it seems to be meeting our goal tracking and review needs for now (with the caveat that they are continuing to update and introduce new features). ### 6. I've been organizing performance reviews for about a decade and a half. They have always been a drag and a headache. This year, done via Hypercontext, was the first time in my career that the process of doing an annual perforamance review has been positively received. Normally managers and employees think "ugh ok this is yet another thing we need to do." This year the feedback was universally "hey that was easy" and "wow that was useful." I was shocked. Our managers also use Hypercontext for weekly 1:1s. It's so easy and organized for that. Our teams have a saying now, "if it's not in HC, it doesn't count". Everything we want done gets tracked and managed inside HC. All of the other places we tried to manage goals (like google docs, spreadsheets, even slack and email) all failed because they're too scattered and noisy. Hypercontact works because it's easy and centralized. **What do you dislike about Spinach AI?** Don't tell them, but they're not charging us enough. We looked at other software which was all legacy HR junk, was more expensive, AND was way worse to use. **What problems is Spinach AI solving and how is that benefiting you?** First - how do we keep our employees aligned in a remote work environment where there are fewer touchpoints available to make sure things are headed in the right direction. The difference that Hypercontext delivers from every other platform is that the tool changes behavior. It is not a 6 month or annual "what have you done for me lately" review tool. It is a seamless integrated, part of your everyday life natural evolution. **What do you dislike about Spinach AI?** I learned a few things while writing my first reviews that could have been more obvious. They were easy to correct but that could have been simpler. Tooling such as Todoist (tasks), Fantastical (calendar) and ActiveDirectory (SSO). Additionally, it recommends helpful talking points depending on the type of meeting. You can schedule to-dos for future dates and to specific people. You can also attach agendas to continuous meetings and make new agendas for one-time meetings. **What do you dislike about Spinach AI?** At times Hypercontext can be super glitchy especially when accessing it from Google Calendar. More times than not it doesn't open to the correct agenda for that calendar event or won't open to any agenda at all and you'll have to open up a new tab. Additionally, sometimes there are glitches so you can't close out a meeting or task properly and it appears on the next agenda for a continuous meeting even though you thought you closed it out. Notetaking is straightforward, easily captured in the app and automatically saved and distributed to attendees once the meeting is finished. Lastly, the Google Calendar and Google Meet integration through Soapbox's Chrome Extension make it simple to link an agenda to a Google Cal meeting and see an overlay of the agenda during a Meet session. **What do you dislike about Spinach AI?** The current implementation of action items or next steps could be better integrated with other third-party project or work management apps. While the natural language parsing of the delegate and due date is great, we find ourselves seldom using the next steps as it creates another data silo of 'todos'. We use Asana heavily for managing all work that needs to be done, and while Zapier can be used to link Soapbox and Asana, it doesn't quite meet our business need at this time due to some missing features in Zapier. Native integration between Soapbox and Asana would make Soapbox perfect for our team! **What problems is Spinach AI solving and how is that benefiting you?** Soapbox has vastly improved our meetings. We used to create agendas and minutes on Google Documents, but Soapbox has made the whole process much more streamlined and simplistic. ### 25. Honestly, I've used it for more than a year and haven't found anything I didn't like. **What problems is Spinach AI solving and how is that benefiting you?** 1 - Assigning action items during weekly meetings. 2 - Following up on those action items at the next weekly meeting through Next Steps. 3 - Sending meeting notes automatically. 4 - A place to store agenda items prior to the next meeting. So many benefits, but the first is never having to hunt for a document or email my team about items to add or remove from the agenda. Since we all share to access the additions/deletions are happening in real-time. Ability to connect a single agenda with our recurring meeting times. Rather than create a new meeting agenda, anything we don't accomplish is automatically moved to next week's agenda. We've also been able to sync tasks with our ticketing system for tasks that need to be timed/billed. I could go on and on, but we'd be here until Christmas...ha! ### 26. And it's been a game-changer. Before, I'd forget what I talked about with my manager and things don't get completed. With Soapbox, it's easy to track what we talked about and the next steps. It's helped creating agendas be more collaborative. For team meetings, we can add agenda items before we meet. I used to use the old and trusted dairy to make notes, but not everyone did, and that led to a lot of issues. Listed below are the features that I have used and liked. Gets synced to my google calendar. Pops-up when the g-meet starts, can be collapsed into a corner so it's not very intruding or taking up space on the screen. Agenda can be set and crossed off when done. Next steps can be added and responsible people can be tagged. All of this comes on an email, always good to have everything in my inbox. All in all this looks like a tool I'm going to get hooked on and get implemented throughout my organization. Thanks to you and your team for working on something so feature rich, simple yet elegant. Both me and my direct reports are able to set the agenda and discuss everything important. We make notes and also add Next Steps which get tagged to the responsible person with a Due date. The best part is that I get email reminders for my next tasks before the due date and that helps me ensure that I have finished them on time. This tool is so well synced with Google calendar and Google Meet that it popups right when my google meet starts with the list of my agenda. Its simply Awesome! It's a life saver. ### 35. I also like that they provide a button to not just copy the link to send to others, but to copy the link with a thumbnail. I think it's a little more attractive that way. **What do you dislike about Spinach AI?** I don't like that Soapbox can be unreliable for me. Sometimes my videos come through nicely, but a lot of times the audio cuts out a little or gets out of sync with the video. When I make a video, I need to watch it to make sure it comes through cleanly. HEADS UP: If I copy the video link and pull it up in my browser, it will come through cleanly no matter what, but won't necessarily come through cleanly for others. To make sure my review of the video is accurate, I pull it up in an incognito window and it seems to be more accurate to what others would see when they view my video. **What problems is Spinach AI solving and how is that benefiting you?** I've tried Hippo Video, Loom, and Soapbox, and I mostly use Loom or Soapbox. I don't pay for any of them, so while Loom is the most reliable, the longest I can record for is 5 minutes. Soapbox has streaks of reliability for me (sometimes it works really consitently, then other times it stops), but it doesn't have a time limit, so I use if for longer videos.
