What do you dislike about Huron Consulting Group?
Although their consultants have been improving there were several issues with implementation. They missed several key items in our SOW. It felt like they wanted to implement as quickly as possible so they could move on the next project. There were critical best practices to which they did not adhere. Either their staff wasn't too experienced or the deadlines were too aggressive. But, regardless, there were hiccups during implementation that my Salesforce IT team is still trying to clean up. We continue to find areas within our Salesforce org that require either complete redesigning or fixing of what they had built. Those are the only reasons I gave 6 out of 10 stars rather than 7 or 8. Recommendations to others considering Huron Consulting Group:
Although Huron Consulting as a partner has improved in recent years, I would caution to thoroughly vet their staff for experience of Salesforce and knowledge of declarative tools on Force.com. I would also execute a code review for any custom app they decided to build. Several times their team of developers suggested code instead of declarative solutions which has created a mess for us. Please do not allow them to train your users. They aren't skilled in training. Overall, just make sure to closely review all system solutions they recommend within Salesforce. What problems is Huron Consulting Group solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were able to translate business processes into workable Salesforce solutions by using both declarative and programmatic aspects on Force.com. Our previous CRM system had inherent inefficiencies and was ultimately a very flawed, antiquated tool. Huron was able to deploy Salesforce CRM for my company as a replacement, which in turn helped us to have improved Service and Sales processes within the system.
