## About HubSpot AEO
HubSpot AEO gives marketers instant visibility into how their brand appears across every major answer engine, a clear strategy for improving that visibility, and specific recommendations for what to do next, available on its own for $50/mo. Core Value Proposition: HubSpot AEO addresses a critical and growing gap in how brands get discovered. Buyers who used to click through search results are now getting direct answers from ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity. If your brand isn't being cited in those answers, you're losing customers before they ever reach your website. HubSpot AEO gives marketers a reliable way to track where they stand, understand how competitors compare, and get a clear, prioritized list of recommendations without needing to become an AEO expert to get started. Key Capabilities: Brand Visibility Dashboard: HubSpot AEO delivers a single visibility score showing how often your brand appears in AI-generated answers across ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini. Track performance by answer engine, monitor trends over time, and understand your competitive position, all from one dashboard. Prompt Tracking: Track the prompts that matter to your business and see exactly how your brand performs on each one. Add prompts manually or, for existing HubSpot customers, get suggestions informed by your HubSpot CRM data so your tracking is relevant to your specific business from day one. For every prompt, you can view the actual AI-generated response, competitive benchmarks, and prompt-level recommendations for improving your visibility. Competitor Analysis: See how your Share of Voice compares to competitors across the same prompts. Identify where competitors are being cited and you're not, and understand the gap you need to close. Citation Analysis: Understand which domains, content types, and channels (owned content, third-party sites, social, reviews, and more) are driving AI citations in your category. This tells you exactly what to create, which channels to prioritize, and which partnerships are worth pursuing. Recommendations: Get a prioritized action list based on your visibility and citation data. Each recommendation includes a full content brief with a suggested title, topic summary, target audience, and keywords, along with the specific data driving it, so you understand the reasoning, not just the output. HubSpot AEO vs. Alternatives: Unlike point solutions that hand you a visibility report and leave you to figure out the rest, HubSpot AEO connects visibility data directly to a prioritized, specific set of recommendations – so you always know what to work on next. And at $50/mo with coverage across multiple answer engines, it's built to be accessible for growing marketing teams, not just enterprise budgets. Who Should Use HubSpot AEO: HubSpot AEO is built for marketers who want to understand and improve their brand's presence in answer engines without committing to a full marketing platform. It serves lean marketing teams at growing companies who are watching organic traffic decline and need an affordable, fast way to get a baseline, and marketers at larger organizations who need dedicated AEO visibility and are evaluating focused solutions. Outcome: HubSpot AEO helps marketers know exactly where their brand stands in answer engines, see how competitors compare, and get a concrete action plan, for $50/mo.

## HubSpot AEO Reviews
 ### 1. Spot-On Recommendations, Flawed Prompt Generator

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amal J. | Inbound Marketing Specialist, Real Estate, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2026

**What do you like best about HubSpot AEO?**

What I like most is the recommendation engine. It's spot on to know what we need to place to the audience for us to rank out there. It helps me identify where my brand is in the market, identify my brand sentiments, see how competitors are ranking, and figure out my market share. It also creates recommendations on what we need to add to our brand messaging to improve AI citations. I take those recommendations from AEO and implement them in YouTube, Reddit, blogs and things like that. Other softwares don't have these features yet. The initial setup was very simple. I was a bit confused on the ICP setup and what that means to me, but then it was easy overall.

**What do you dislike about HubSpot AEO?**

The AI Prompt generator doesn't work for me.","It just doesn't understand my content while generating the prompts.","I said my audience is high networth individuals living in US, but my company only sells properties in UK and few other countries.","I was looking for international investors from US to invest in UK, but when I set up my audience and their demograpics, they create prompts in such a way that I want to sell US properties. Which is misleading.","Same for UAE clients: it started giving me prompts in rabic, but this region also has other sorts of investors, and I'm not selling in UAE.","I was bit confused on the ICP setup and what that means to me.

**What problems is HubSpot AEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use HubSpot AEO to increase our visibility on AI platforms and get more traffic from AI engines. It helps me identify my brand sentiment, see how competitors rank, and where my brand sits in the market. The recommendation engine tells us what to add to our messaging to improve AI citations.

 ### 2. Intuitive platform for automated AEO and citation tracking

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Katerina I. | PPC & SEO Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2026

**What do you like best about HubSpot AEO?**

The main advantage is the ability to configure different ICPs and respective prompts for automation, thereby enabling you to track your citations. The platform is highly intuitive and easy to navigate. As a downside, I'd say the recommendation tab sometimes provides irrelevant suggestions, and there's no easy way to give feedback to the AI to improve the remaining results.

**What do you dislike about HubSpot AEO?**

As I mentioned earlier, the only downside is the recommendation tab -some suggestions are irrelevant to the business or just inapplicable. Other suggestions have already been implemented but weren't detected. Plus, there's no way to 'train' it to get better at making recommendations

**What problems is HubSpot AEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Thanks to the HubSpot AEO tool, I can track the business's daily performance across the different prompts I’ve set up. The great thing is that everything is customizable - from the ICP and stage to the prompts. I can see where our business stands compared to competitors and what our citation share is.

 ### 3. HubSpot AEO — Easy Built‑In AI & Clear Reporting; Visibility Jumped from 2.5% to 22% in 3 Weeks!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Greg M. | eCommerce Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2026

**What do you like best about HubSpot AEO?**

HubSpot AEO is very easy to use and quickly delivers valuable results. It recommends to AEO prompts with recommendations on how to create content to address the prompts. Built-in AI even creates the content. Onboarding isn't even required as it's so easy to use.

Within 3 weeks of using HubSpot AEO, we climbed from 2.5% visibility to 22% visibility in AEO engines. The reporting is very clear and valuable and shows how we are positioned against competitors.

**What do you dislike about HubSpot AEO?**

We're limited to only 25 prompts to track unless we purchase more. I understand, HubSpot is a business. We will probably purchase more prompts because it's adding value now.

**What problems is HubSpot AEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were/are evaluating several AEO management and optimization platforms to understand where we are in AEO performance and help grow our presence and Agentic Commerce revenue. HubSpot AEO is meeting much of that need, though in-depth keywords and prompt analysis isn't part of HubSpot AEO but is on others like SEMRush's AEO solution.

 ### 4. CRM-Powered Prompts with Smart Visibility Fixes — Smooth, Helpful Tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ben L. | Digital Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2026

**What do you like best about HubSpot AEO?**

What I like best about HubSpot AEO is that it lets you create prompts using information that’s already in your CRM. That makes the process much easier and more relevant. I also really appreciate the visibility-gap recommendations, which make it clear where improvements are needed and how to address them. Overall, it’s a smooth, intuitive tool that has been very helpful so far.

**What do you dislike about HubSpot AEO?**

What I dislike is that I wish there were more prompt options available. The awareness prompts do not really help us or align with what we need, so it would be great to have a wider variety of prompts that are more practical and relevant to our use case.

**What problems is HubSpot AEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

HubSpot AEO is helping us gain better visibility into how we’re performing and where there are gaps. It gives us useful data and insights that help us make more informed decisions and improve our AEO strategy over time. Overall, it’s helping us understand what needs work and take clearer steps toward getting better results.

 ### 5. HubSpot AEO: Simple, accurate Insights you can trust

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sami E. | Head of growth, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2026

**What do you like best about HubSpot AEO?**

HubSpot AEO stands out for its simplicity and the accuracy of its analysis. Unlike other tools I've tested, the source tracking, competitor benchmarking, and category classification actually reflect reality. It's one of the few AEO solutions where I trust the data enough to act on it directly.

**What do you dislike about HubSpot AEO?**

Honestly, not much. The tool does what it promises. If I had to nitpick, I'd say the feature set is still maturing but that's expected for a relatively new module, and the core functionality is already solid.

**What problems is HubSpot AEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As AI-generated answers become a significant traffic source, understanding how your brand appears in LLM responses is no longer optional. HubSpot AEO solves exactly that it gives visibility into how and where your brand is mentioned across AI engines, tracks share of voice against competitors, and helps identify gaps to address. For us, it's become the go-to tool for monitoring this new acquisition channel and making sure we're not invisible where buyers are increasingly starting their research.

 ### 6. Easy Setup and Accurate Insights for AI-Powered Search Visibility

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mikayla D. | Director of Brand & Demand, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2026

**What do you like best about HubSpot AEO?**

HubSpot AEO was easy to implement, provides accurate competitive insights, and has directly influenced our content strategy. It’s helped us identify content gaps we didn’t know existed, making it much easier to prioritize blog topics that improve our visibility in AI-powered search.

**What do you dislike about HubSpot AEO?**

I’d like better reporting and export capabilities. Right now it’s difficult to share insights across teams or bring the data into AI tools like Claude for deeper analysis and content creation. A more robust export/reporting feature would make AEO much more collaborative and actionable.

**What problems is HubSpot AEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

HubSpot AEO is helping us identify the content topics we’re missing and prioritize the ones that will have the biggest impact. Instead of guessing what to write next, we’re using data to shape our blog strategy around the questions buyers are asking in AI-powered search. That’s helping us create more relevant content, increase organic visibility, and drive more website traffic and engagement.

 ### 7. Powerful for Identifying Content Gaps

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John M. | Director of Customer Success, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about HubSpot AEO?**

I like the potential of HubSpot AEO to bring structure to how we understand and improve our discoverability. The ability to surface gaps in where we’re not being found—and recommend content to fill those gaps—is especially valuable, particularly when it can be filtered by audience or segment.

**What do you dislike about HubSpot AEO?**

One challenge has been that some of the core setup and benchmarking features feel geared toward traditional commercial models, which makes it harder to apply directly in a nonprofit context. For example, defining competitors is not always straightforward for us, since our “competition” varies significantly depending on the audience.

I would find it much more valuable to be able to define segment-specific competitors, so that comparisons are more relevant to the audience we’re trying to reach. For instance, our donor and philanthropic audience might align more with nonprofits, while our member-facing content might be more comparable to youth sports organizations. Having the ability to tailor competitive benchmarks by segment would make the insights far more actionable and meaningful.

**What problems is HubSpot AEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

HubSpot AEO is helping us identify content gaps—specifically where we’re not showing up in search or answer-driven experiences. That visibility allows us to be more intentional about what content we create and prioritize, ensuring we’re covering the topics our audiences are actually looking for. This is especially valuable as we scale, since it helps us focus our efforts on what will have the most impact.

 ### 8. Streamlines Keywords and Industry Insights

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robin S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 10, 2026

**What do you like best about HubSpot AEO?**

I use HubSpot AEO to identify key words, phrases, and questions in my industry, and it's been incredibly helpful right from the start. Within just a week, I received actionable data with recommendations. I like that I can view 'hits' across three different AI platforms for questions or topics and then review my data. The Recommendations and Citations feature is super helpful for planning future marketing efforts. As someone newer to the small business ecosystem, I find it really helpful that HubSpot reaches out to assist. The initial setup was easier than any other tool I've attempted to understand.

**What do you dislike about HubSpot AEO?**

It would be great to increase your tutorials for how to edit competitors that I have not been aware of previously, for new reports. Tutorials on how to leverage the data would be helpful, outside the actual platform. I have not checked, but I would hope AEO tutorials on YouTube would be great. SPECIFIC to these evolving tools. It is VERY difficult to embrace all your features as a new small business owner, as there are just a few free tools, but a HUGE rise in costs to include ANY flowcharts. Both have learning curves that are hard for a solopreneur to master quickly.

**What problems is HubSpot AEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use HubSpot AEO to identify industry keywords and client questions. It provides actionable recommendations and compares results across my industry. I like viewing 'hits' across AI platforms and its helpful Recommendations and Citations for marketing planning.

 ### 9. Actionable Citation Insights and ICP Prompt Tracking

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2026

**What do you like best about HubSpot AEO?**

The citation analysis has been the most useful part for me. Most AI visibility tools just tell you your mention rate. AEO actually shows which domains and URLs the engines pull from when they answer buyer questions. When I saw that one third-party listicle got cited almost 700 times in a month, it changed how I think about this. Now I have an actual list of pages to go after instead of guessing, and I can see which formats win in our category (listicles and review sites, by a lot).

I also really like the ICP-based prompt tracking. AI engines answer differently depending on who's asking, so being able to see our visibility by customer profile instead of generic prompts makes the data way more useful.

And the recommendations save me a ton of time. Instead of just handing me a score, it gives me a prioritized list of specific actions based on what ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity are actually citing, and I can assign them to my team without leaving HubSpot.

The competitor share of voice view put a number on a gap we suspected was there, and now we can watch it week over week as our content work kicks in.

**What do you dislike about HubSpot AEO?**

The prompt limit feels tight. We get 50 prompts on Enterprise and we're already at 30 with only 2 ICPs and 6 of our 8 products covered. The tool itself warns me I have blind spots, but fixing that means burning through the remaining allotment fast. For a company with multiple ICPs and a real product catalog, the cap forces tradeoffs I shouldn't have to make.
Engine coverage is limited to ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity. That's a fine start, but Google AI Overviews is where a huge share of buyer research actually happens, and it's not here yet.

The recommendations could use more curation. I got 56 of them, which sounds great, but several are near duplicates of each other and the volume of "post this on LinkedIn" suggestions dilutes the genuinely strategic ones, like which cited pages to pursue. I'd rather have 15 sharp recommendations than 56 I have to triage myself.

Data granularity is weekly only, and since we just started tracking, the trend lines are thin. That's partly a time problem that solves itself, but a daily view option would help when we launch something and want to see movement.

And it's still in beta, which shows in places. Some charts hang on loading, and I'd love to see this data connect to what's downstream in HubSpot, like whether AI visibility is actually showing up in contact sources or pipeline. Right now it lives on its own island.

**What problems is HubSpot AEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our buyers have started researching wellness platforms in ChatGPT and Perplexity instead of just Google, and until now we had zero visibility into what those tools say about us. We didn't know if we showed up at all, what got said when we did, or which competitors were winning those answers. It was a blind spot in the exact part of the funnel where buyers form their shortlist.

AEO solves that. We now have a baseline visibility number, we can see share of voice against competitors like Wellhub and Personify Health, and we know which specific third-party pages the engines cite when they answer buyer questions. That last part is the biggest benefit for me. My content and PR priorities used to be educated guesses. Now I have an actual list of the listicles and review sites driving AI answers in our category, so I know exactly where to pursue placement and what formats to invest in.

 ### 10. fixing the Black Box of AI Search Visibility

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Human Resources | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2026

**What do you like best about HubSpot AEO?**

We recently started using HubSpot's AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) feature, and it has completely transformed how we look at our digital presence. Instead of guessing how LLMs see us, the Brand Visibility Dashboard gives us concrete data across ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity. The CRM-powered prompt suggestions are accurate to what our actual customers ask, and the historical trend tracking helps us prove that our content strategy is actually moving the needle in AI search. It's incredibly user-friendly and an absolute steal for the value it provides

**What do you dislike about HubSpot AEO?**

We would like to be able to get more prompts ideas and to get a clear and exhaustive picture of what are the prompts most types on AI to reach our brand or solutions.

**What problems is HubSpot AEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Traditional SEO tools track keyword rankings on Google, but they can’t tell you how your brand is being represented inside LLMs. Marketers have historically been left guessing whether ChatGPT, Gemini, or Perplexity are recommending them, panning them, or ignoring them entirely.
HubSpot’s brand visibility Score and Sentiment analysis lift the curtain. You get real, data-backed proof of how often your brand is mentioned across major engines and whether the tone is positive, neutral, or negative, transforming "vibe-based" marketing into measurable metrics.

 ### 11. Clear AI Visibility Insights, Easy Setup

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jay V. | Senior Marketing Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2026

**What do you like best about HubSpot AEO?**

I use HubSpot AEO to find out how my brand awareness is at different stages like consideration and evaluation, and whether I'm coming up in the LLM platforms for the searches I'd like to be visible for. The AI platform gives me visibility into what kind of pages are being shared as citations, what my brand voice is, how I'm competing with my competitors, and how frequently I'm shown on different pages. We don't have any other platform where we can see this kind of information. HubSpot AEO brings that into one place and gives me ideas and recommendations on what I can do to improve my rankings and share of voice. The initial setup was very easy and most of it is pretty self explanatory. I attended the HubSpot in person event where they talked about how to create prompts for different ICPs and different stages, and that really helped me. The learning curve is pretty small. Overall, I'm happy with the product.

**What do you dislike about HubSpot AEO?**

{"Currently, it gives a good understanding, but, I think the prompts that we put in are suggested by HubSpot AEO, but I'm not sure if those are the kind of prompts that are used by the customers. That is still a dark area in LLMs where we are not aware what users are searching. But, yeah, most probably, I'm happy with the product overall."}

**What problems is HubSpot AEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use HubSpot AEO to find out how my brand awareness is at different stages and whether I show up in LLM platforms for searches I want to be visible for. It shows what pages are cited, my brand voice, and how I'm competing with competitors, all in one place with recommendations to improve my rankings and share of voice.

 ### 12. HubSpot AEO: The analytics behind your content decisions.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2026

**What do you like best about HubSpot AEO?**

Hubspot's AEO really does help with understanding how you are placed and ranked in your industry. In addtion, it provides useful recommendations with it's intelligence fucntionality. One thing to note is that the recommendations can be quite biased towards Youtube videos. The UI/UX is still a bit clunky, but I imagine that will change overtime. Understanding exactly what you are looking at is difficult at times as each dashboard doesn't give you a lot of context and setting up prompts can be confusing as well as it takes your ICPs and breaks them apart into really small chunks. I've had no issues with performance, it's constantly been reliable. Pricing and integrations are not applicable as it was already included in my Hubspot subscription and no integrations were needed as it had access tto what it needed. Hubspots knowledge base has been useful when I did have some questions, and I did not require any onboarding help.

**What do you dislike about HubSpot AEO?**

Setting up prompts is still difficult as it breaks it down into smaller chunks than how you have your ICPs setup and the dashboards could be better at showing how you've been positioned week/month/year etc and the movements and what caused those movements.

**What problems is HubSpot AEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hubspot AEO has given us the visbility over our AI positioning that we were missing. It's been instrumental in changing how we position ourselves and our content to ensure we are being cited in the right places.

 ### 13. HubSpot AEO: Boosted Visibility & Citations with Easy AI Setup

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2026

**What do you like best about HubSpot AEO?**

We have started using the new Hubspot AEO tool and it has given us great visibility on what we are being cited for, what we can work on and also when we have made changes, what results the changes are getting!

We have increased our visibility and number of citations with the recommendations made. Also the integration with the content manager to help with the content creation also works well. In comparison to the extra monthly that some of the other SEO companies are wanting to charge for the same information this tool works really well for us.

Also the AI assistant to help setup the prompts and then setup the tool made it easy to get up and running. We have and continue to refine and measure as we go. Would definetely recommend the new feature.

**What do you dislike about HubSpot AEO?**

The dashboards currently don't have the ability to look far enough into the past and see the growth over time at this stage, but are a great overview.

**What problems is HubSpot AEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The world of organic traffic and SEO and AEO is changing and trying to get a good way to monitor it is hard, new and expensive with some SEO platforms wanting an additional $699 per month for an average overview report. We rely on organic traffic for sales, so we need to make sure we are still showing up in citations as more and more people move to Answer Engine research.

 ### 14. Integrated and profitable for competitive analysis — needs better prompt suggestions

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Uriel T. | Jefe de posicionamiento web , Transportation/Trucking/Railroad, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2026

**What do you like best about HubSpot AEO?**

I love that it is an integrated solution, as being within the platform we already use to manage mass email, we don't have to pay more for this tool, which greatly facilitates my work and makes this task more economical compared to other expensive and non-transparent tools like SEMRush. The main problem it solves for me is competition measurement, as it offers a clear overview of which are the main companies that appear in the prompts that can refer to our services. Within my marketing functions, it also helps me create content because it offers ideas for prompts in which we can be mentioned. The initial setup was extremely simple and clear; it's enough to know my brand and competition to have the best possible configuration clear. It is necessary to have prior knowledge of SEO and AEO, but I consider it a powerful and easy-to-use tool. I use it complementarily with other tools, especially with SEMRush, and it is definitely an essential tool for those who already use the mail options.

**What do you dislike about HubSpot AEO?**

{"I think that prompt suggestions are often very generic and need to be constantly edited.","There is a lack of integration with our domain and the customer database; I believe the tool could have a plugin that scans all our content to develop better prompt suggestions.","It is necessary to have prior knowledge of SEO and AEO."}

**What problems is HubSpot AEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it to measure the impact of our digital presence and that of the competition in AI applications. The main problem it solves is measuring competition, showing me which companies appear in the prompts. It also helps me to create content with prompt ideas. Being integrated, we don't pay more.

 ### 15. valuable insights but vague suggestions

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2026

**What do you like best about HubSpot AEO?**

What I like most about HubSpot AEO is its flexibility. Being able to add my own competitors makes it much more relevant to my business, allowing me to track performance against the companies that matter most. It's also easy to adapt the platform to fit different business goals and priorities.

The tool provides useful suggestions to improve visibility, making it easier to identify opportunities to strengthen your online presence. While the user interface can feel a little confusing at first, it's straightforward to navigate once you become familiar with it.

Overall, HubSpot AEO performs well, delivers valuable insights, and it's easy to find help whenever you need it. It's a flexible and effective tool for businesses looking to improve their visibility and stay ahead of the competition.

**What do you dislike about HubSpot AEO?**

I dislike that sometimes the suggestions are irrelevant or too specific such as a blog post recommending competitors. It also often tells me to try and get featured on pages where my business is already featured. It seems quite vague and often I question the suggestions.

**What problems is HubSpot AEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's helping us as our business is very reliant on AI suggestions and it's providing information that we can use to see what tools we are most/least being featured on and what sort of searches we are appearing so that we can tailor our SEO

 ### 16. A Great Starting Point for Our AI Strategy

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nick T. | Revenue Operations Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2026

**What do you like best about HubSpot AEO?**

I primarily use HubSpot AEO for content optimization, and it's great for idea generation and a good starting point for AI. We recently started using AI at our agency, and the big question was where to even start. AEO was the answer we came to. Knowing HubSpot is a massive company that has already started on these big initiatives, it was easy to dive into the tool to get some starting blocks for our AI strategy. I like that it directly walks you through step by step to set your base, so you don't really need to think. The prompts in the AEO tool are their own AI, walking you directly through the steps to make you start thinking about how it fits into the grand scheme of your processes and what you're already doing. When we were revamping our weekly email that promotes our blog and content, AEO came at the perfect time to make us ask how we make this the most effective content possible. The AEO prompts gave us a roadmap of how we should be writing that content so we're at the forefront of this new age of AI. The step-by-step prompts took the guesswork out of the entire process. Rather than spending time brainstorming, the step-by-step process gave us the process and the ideas. The main benefit was content ideas, because what the tool says people are asking based on our industry lets us be at the forefront of those questions. By putting our industry and specific offerings at the beginning, there are hundreds if not thousands of directions you could go for generating what people are asking, and the AEO tool does that for you to tell you what is already being asked. We cover a lot of different offerings, and the top 10 were all focused on one specific type of offering, which gave us the idea to focus on that product in this specific season so we can hit our growth goals. The initial setup was incredibly easy, since it step by step walks you through everything you need to answer to get started. I'm very critical of rating scales, so I give it a 7, which is very good for me. It's a great start.

**What do you dislike about HubSpot AEO?**

It would be nice if HubSpot AEO could analyze my current content that's hosted with HubSpot and blend it with the content remix tool to optimize what I already have. I'd like it to read my current content, like blogs and even scheduled emails, and make suggestions on phrasing to change or sentences to add to make it AEO friendly.

**What problems is HubSpot AEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We started using AI at our agency and didn't know where to begin. AEO gave us starting blocks for our AI strategy. The step-by-step prompts take the guesswork out and give us content ideas based on what people are already asking in our industry, so we can be at the forefront.

 ### 17. Simplifies AEO Strategy for Beginners

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mary Grace P. | Marketing Specialist - Digital and Operations, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2026

**What do you like best about HubSpot AEO?**

I like the easy to use interface. I don't consider myself an expert in AEO since it's a fairly new concept for me, but the tool lets me explore it in a way that's easy to understand. It also provides knowledge resources to help me understand AEO better. One of the things I like most is the content recommendation feature. It saves the team a lot of time putting together AEO strategy. Instead of guessing what to write, it gives a clear guide on how and what to write content about. Another thing I like is the tracking and visibility dashboard. I don't need to go into another platform like SEMrush to get this kind of information. The initial setup was pretty easy, it guides you on how to set it up. Even for a beginner like me, I think we had a good foundation when we set it up. It's also easy to go back and make changes. When we started we had a general idea on AEO, but the more we use it, the plan gets more structured. We simply have to tweak the settings and it's all done. With the AEO recommendation tab, we were able to focus on publishing AEO optimized articles, which addresses the blind spot in AI search visibility. It also fills the gap in our content strategy, since we are now publishing articles considering how AI pulls and cites information. I'd rate it a 9 to recommend. I think it's a good introduction for teams who just started exploring AEO since it's simple to use. I highly recommend the recommendation tab as it lets you start working on building content and gives you a clear brief instead of guessing what to create.

**What do you dislike about HubSpot AEO?**

{"HubSpot AEO only tracks Chatgpt, perplecity and gemini - I hope that they also include claude in the future."}

**What problems is HubSpot AEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have limited resources for building a robust list of articles, so the recommendation tab lets us focus on AEO optimized articles and addresses our blind spot in AI search visibility. It saves the team time on strategy and gives a clear guide on what to write instead of guessing.

 ### 18. Beginner-Friendly AEO with Smart Recommendations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Karen G. | Ving Success Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2026

**What do you like best about HubSpot AEO?**

I like that HubSpot AEO makes it easy to use. It's super beginner friendly, so even if you have no idea about AEO, it's still easy to use, and you'll start seeing results within weeks. It helps me know what prompts I should be focusing on for my ideal customers, and it does all the heavy lifting, so I don't have to spend time figuring out which prompts to use. It also tells me recommended tasks I can do to improve those prompts. I value the recommendation tool the most, so I don't have to think about what I need to do, and it tells me what's gonna make the biggest impact and kind of where to start. The setup was super simple, and it did all the thinking for us.

**What do you dislike about HubSpot AEO?**

I think the follow-up tasks could be improved. Right now you can mark a task as started or in progress, and then mark it completed, but I wish we could leave internal notes. I'd like to be able to say who was handling a task and where in the process it is, so I know where I left off.

**What problems is HubSpot AEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use HubSpot AEO to rank better for AI search engines. It helps me know what prompts to focus on for my ideal customers, so it does all the heavy lifting and I don't have to spend time on that. It also gives me recommended tasks to improve those prompts.

 ### 19. Clear Insight Into AI Search Visibility

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Manufacturing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2026

**What do you like best about HubSpot AEO?**

What I like best about HubSpot’s AEO tool is that it lets me test the prompts that matter to our business and see how AI engines actually respond. I can review the answers, see which links are cited, and understand how AFEX stacks up against competitors.

I also like that the tool shows how answers may change based on different customer types, which is helpful because we speak to safety, maintenance, procurement, distributors, and equipment owners. The content suggestions are especially useful because they give us practical ideas for what to write or improve so we can show up better for the prompts our customers are likely asking.

**What do you dislike about HubSpot AEO?**

The biggest limitation for me is the limited number of prompts I can test or monitor. I like being able to enter our own prompts, but I sometimes wonder whether I’m missing popular or high-intent questions that customers are actually asking.

There may be prompts where AFEX should be showing up, but if I haven’t thought to enter them, I may not see those visibility gaps. More suggested prompts, related questions, or insight into trending customer queries would make the tool even more useful.

**What problems is HubSpot AEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

HubSpot AEO is helping solve the visibility gap around how AFEX appears in AI-driven search. It gives me a clearer view of which sources are being cited, where we show up compared to competitors, and what content gaps we need to address.

One of the biggest benefits has been seeing the links that AI engines are citing. I noticed magazine publications ranking highly for some of the prompts I entered, which helped us think beyond just our own website. It pushed me to explore advertising and editorial opportunities with those publications so AFEX content can also appear in the sources AI engines are already referencing.

The competitive view is also valuable because it shows where AFEX stands in relation to other companies. And the suggested content has helped us turn those insights into action by developing new blog posts, videos, and web content around the topics our customers are likely asking about.

 ### 20. Boosts AEO & sales with smooth Shopify integration — HubSpot support needs improvement

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2026

**What do you like best about HubSpot AEO?**

We use PDP content and blog posts to improve our AEO standings. This tool has demonstrated that following its recommendations raises our AEO score, and as the score improves our sales have increased accordingly. The UI makes it very easy to generate blog posts directly from the Recommendations tab, which streamlines the workflow. Overall, the tool has strengthened our AEO performance across the board and helped us stay competitive. It integrates well with Shopify, which is excellent, while Hub Spot support is consistently just okay.

**What do you dislike about HubSpot AEO?**

Some of the measuring metrics seem to contradict themselves. It is not always clear where the reporting data comes form or which measurement to use.

**What problems is HubSpot AEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is allowing us to stay ahead of our competitors in the field of AEO, and we are getting some ROI. As we use the tools more and more, we continue to drive more sales and traffic.

 ### 21. HubSpot AEO: Clear AI Search Rankings and Niche Insights

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Architecture & Planning | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2026

**What do you like best about HubSpot AEO?**

HubSpot AEO gives us understanding in how we rank for specific AI Search prompts versus our competitors, giving us a clearer lens as to what niches we may be excelling at, and which content and media we're putting out is really reach our potential leads.

**What do you dislike about HubSpot AEO?**

I wish HubSpot AEO performed a large, broadly competitor analysis. I enjoy and find it important that I see how we rank for specific prompts, but understanding volume of search results for our competitors or ourselves would be enlightening.

**What problems is HubSpot AEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

HubSpot AEO solves the problem of proving that our content is effective and reaching an audience. It shows us which niches of content we're putting out perform the best and which we should lean more into. It also helps us understand gaps in service which may have formed between us and our competitors, gaps we might want to fill.

 ### 22. Insightful Reporting, Easy Setup

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emilee P. | Director of CRM, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 01, 2026

**What do you like best about HubSpot AEO?**

I really like the reporting and the details of the reports in HubSpot AEO, as it allows us to share important information with leadership. It's also very easy to set up, with explanatory knowledge-based articles that helped us learn how to use it efficiently. The feature set makes sense for us, and we're glad we started using it when it became available in beta.

**What do you dislike about HubSpot AEO?**

The one thing that could be improved are the fan out queries. Knowing what those are going out and searching and bringing back would be helpful. Fan out queries are something that is more cutting edge and can give us even more insight into AEO search.

**What problems is HubSpot AEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

HubSpot AEO solves the uncertainty of knowing our presence in AI search and citations across industries. I really like the detailed reporting to share with leadership.

 ### 23. HubSpot's AEO Tool Gave Us Clear Competitor Insights and Confidence in Our Content Strategy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Manufacturing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2026

**What do you like best about HubSpot AEO?**

Our favorite thing about HubSpot's AEO tool is the ability to compare yourself to your competitors. We had little to no visibility into how we were performing with AEO prior to this tool, and to see how we stack up against our biggest competitors has given us a lot of confidence in our content strategy.

**What do you dislike about HubSpot AEO?**

The limitation of credits is the biggest downside, but I do like how you can remove a prompt that you've already gained more visibility with to gain a credit back.

**What problems is HubSpot AEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest problem that HubSpot's AEO tool has solved for us is visibility. We had no clue whether our AEO strategy was truly working prior to this tool, so it's nice to see not only proof of when the strategy is working, but also recommendations when it is not.

 ### 24. Powerful, Affordable AI Visibility - Easy Setup, Top Agents & Insightful Dashboard

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2026

**What do you like best about HubSpot AEO?**

Based upon experiencing using other AI visibility platforms, the HubSpot AEO tool is one of the best based on price and on features. I love that it includes four of the top AI agents right out of the box. I've been using it for a month and I can see the potential right away. It's super easy to set up, especially with the AI-powered prompts, and the dashboard provides details of AI visibility and coverage. It performs as a Top 10 platform should.

**What do you dislike about HubSpot AEO?**

As of right now, I would say the only thing missing is the inclusion of Claude as an agent, but I can see this being integrated in the near future.

**What problems is HubSpot AEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm combining data from HubSpot's AEO and GA4's AI Assistant feature to develop a comprehensive AI visibility strategy.

 ### 25. Essential for Dominating AI-Assisted Visibility

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elliott B. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2026

**What do you like best about HubSpot AEO?**

I love the citation analysis in HubSpot AEO. Knowing exactly which domains and content AI engines cite when recommending software in our category has been a genuine game-changer for us. It moved AEO from something abstract we monitored to something we could actively build a strategy around. The broader integration also matters greatly, as it fits seamlessly with our existing HubSpot environment, keeping prompt tracking, visibility scoring, and recommendations in one connected place. This makes it practical for the team and not just a side project. The frictionless setup is another underrated aspect of it. Since we were already fully set up in HubSpot, there was no significant onboarding burden; activating the feature and configuring the prompts was simple. This ease of integration means we quickly had access to meaningful data without the need for new logins or a separate adoption process.

**What do you dislike about HubSpot AEO?**

Less a criticism and more a feature request - we'd love to see coverage expand beyond ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity. AI Overviews in particular is a growing area of focus for us, and having that visibility within HubSpot AEO rather than needing separate tooling would make the workflow even more seamless. We'd also value more guidance on owned content optimisation - the citation analysis shows us which third-party domains are being referenced, but recommendations on how to get our own pages into that mix would be a valuable next step.

**What problems is HubSpot AEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use HubSpot AEO to track and enhance our visibility in AI-generated answers, helping us be the recommended software. It solves the problem of flying blind by showing which prompts we win and integrating this data with our existing CRM workflow.

 ### 26. The features are intuitive, easy to follow and worth the ROI

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2026

**What do you like best about HubSpot AEO?**

The UI is intuitive, and integrations are a breeze. Have not needed support so far but HubSpot Support in general is quite responsive. Best AI feature is that it gives you a prioritised "recommended actions" list. Performance is snappy. Pricing is on the higher side but for the ROI, worth it.

**What do you dislike about HubSpot AEO?**

Some of the recommendations are not applicable to my business. The graphs are not as easy to use, and some of the AI features do not provide a detailed explanation as to their use. This often means having to go on Google and searching for help in videos and posts.

**What problems is HubSpot AEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has been resolving our online brand visibility issues, which we had struggled with in the past.

 ### 27. User-Friendly LLM Visibility Tracking with One-Click Recommendations

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2026

**What do you like best about HubSpot AEO?**

I really like how user friendly it is and easy to navigate. Everything is quick at a glance to see where our metrics are at. The recommendations feature is very helpful, especially with it being only one click to generate the recommended content for the most part. The initial setup was very easy too.

**What do you dislike about HubSpot AEO?**

I find some of the initial setup could be a little bit easier to find once I've created my brand foundation. Sometimes making edits, it can be a little difficult to find where in the platform or in the AEO tool we can go to make edits. That includes things like our competitor list or our prompt if something no longer aligns with our business model. So sometimes making edits to the setup can be challenging. I also wish there was some more explanation of where the information is coming from + what each chart is specifically showing.

**What problems is HubSpot AEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me decide what prompts to analyze and where to put more effort so we show up for them. It also helps me track prompt visibility and understand our voice share among competitors, seeing where we have advantages or need to improve.

 ### 28. Deep Page-View Analytics with Rich, Actionable Competitive Insights - need better prompt.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Human Resources | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2026

**What do you like best about HubSpot AEO?**

The analytics of understanding the page view. It get very deep the research and bring several insights from other companies.

**What do you dislike about HubSpot AEO?**

Unfortunately, it brings another competitors that aren't our real competitors and the content are not very qualified and generalist. I can only provide an content due to an ICP, but there is content that serve for both ICPs.

**What problems is HubSpot AEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Discovering who and how the competitors are using IA for reach the customers. These also benefits me on how I can reach them. I don't know yet if it is very up to date. But brings a real closer.

 ### 29. Intuitive Dashboard with Comprehensive AEO Insights

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2026

**What do you like best about HubSpot AEO?**

The dashboard is user-friendly, the AEO section overall is quite comprehensive regarding prompts, competitors citations etc. The variety of recommendations are helpful - particularly the way it finds listicles we should feature in.

**What do you dislike about HubSpot AEO?**

Would love more of an explanation on the way things like 'brand visibility' are calculated, as we use another SEO-specific platform to track this, which states a much lower number.

**What problems is HubSpot AEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Understanding where we sit compared to our competitors, but more importantly - how we are trending for which prompts. The fluctuations here help drive ideas for new content and its prioritisation.

 ### 30. Good AEO limitations - strong UX with limited AI knowledge

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2026

**What do you like best about HubSpot AEO?**

It gives a good, up-to date picture of our status in AEO

**What do you dislike about HubSpot AEO?**

The recommendations are so far very vauge (and AI SLOP), and when we tried to get the information about out website, it was totally off. We're a SaaS company but it gave recommendations for car mechanics etc which decreases my trust on it. The UX is quite good but this makes me doubt the engine behind it

**What problems is HubSpot AEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Not suing it very acively atm - but we would like to understand how we can rank better in AEO
