**What do you like best about HiThrive?**

Using HiThrive has been a game-changer for our team. It has genuinely lifted my mood and made a noticeable difference in our overall work environment. The ability to give shoutouts and participate in fun challenges has brought so much positive energy to our day-to-day. It’s helped us feel more connected, appreciated, and motivated, and that’s made us a stronger team. HiThrive has turned recognition into something we look forward to, and it’s made our workplace not just more productive, but a lot more fun too!

Redeem options should have more variety.

**What problems is HiThrive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

HiThrive is solving the problem of low engagement and lack of team connection in the workplace. Before using it, recognition often went unspoken, and there weren’t many ways to build camaraderie beyond day-to-day tasks. With HiThrive, shoutouts and challenges have made it easy and fun to celebrate each other’s efforts. This has boosted morale, improved my mood, and created a more positive, collaborative work environment. It’s helped our team feel closer and work better together.

The monthly limit. I wish there was a way to carry forward last months limit as well

**What do you like best about HiThrive?**

It's a nice way to share recognition with your colleagues. You can configure custom company values to guide your employees.
The shop website allows you to use your points to purchase stuff.
Pretty similar to HeyTaco, with more structured interactions.

**What do you dislike about HiThrive?**

It's very limited in terms of features. A Slack bot was used previously, with better Slack integration, like reactions, instead of having to use the /shoutout like HiThrive.
Also, in Switzerland, there is no access to Amazon gift cards, which make the rewards pretty limited in terms of interest.
Compared to the internal bot, the usage was reduced, roughly by half (gut feeling), despite the reward behind real, compared to the internal bot we used.

**What problems is HiThrive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

HiThrive was introduced to replace an internal Slack bot. The idea was to be able to have the full control on it, instead of letting it in the hands of some engineers instead of the HR, to better guide the culture.
As it's centrally managed, it's helping the company policy.

To clarify, the reason HiThrive uses the /shoutout slash command in Slack (rather than keyword-based triggers like some other apps) is primarily for security and privacy. With a slash command, HiThrive only has access to messages sent directly to our bot, whereas keyword-based systems require access to all messages in public channels — something we intentionally avoid to better protect your data.

We also appreciate your note regarding Amazon gift card availability in Switzerland. Our team is looking into adding support for the Amazon.de gift card to better serve team members in Switzerland.

Hithrive makes it easy to recognize achievements across different departments and teams. Normally, giving a compliment to someone on your own team is simple during a Teams call, but with Hithrive, you can acknowledge someone's effort instantly right after it happens.

I appreciate that it's more rewarding whether you're helping another teammate out with a simple task, a team while someone is OOO or simply just to say thank you. It helps you feel recognized more.

Personally, I don't have an issue with anything. I think it's a great tool.

Employee recognition. A common issue at our agency was coworkers feeling like they weren't recognized for their work big or small, not giving them an incentive. Although points are not expected, I feel as if HiThrive solves this issue internally when it is utilized letting our teams know they're valued in more ways than one.

This is an easy way to recognize coworkers for their outstanding work, and give them visibility across the company

You are not able to split your allocated points per month across multiple coworkers, so I only end up giving one shoutout per month

More recognition is possible in this format without taking up meeting time going through all of the shoutouts for recognition

It can be as simple as doing something helpful for a team or completing a significant goal. The real time aspect of HiThrive really allows for recognition in the moment and does not wait for performance reviews.

I don't see any downsides with HiThrive and really have appreciated my companies willingness to embrace recognition in the moment as part of the company culture.

I really like the recongnition aspect of the software and also really like that I longer have to keep outlook reminders not to forget birthdays or anniversaries

I don't like not being able to upload my own designs. I know we can email them in but I would like to be able to customize myself.

HiThrive introduces into the workplace a kind a thoughful approach to interpersonal relationships. Little daily gestures and a bit of laughter to carry on with work tasks and obstacles. It creates a sense of community. It is team bonding.

I wish it had more GIF options or an AI powered option to create custom messages in graphics.
