What do you like best about HikaShop?

Explore the program before launching your website. Hikashop is very easy to use but you want to make sure you know what you're doing prior to launch. This helps to know which version would be best for you as they offer 3 versions (2 paid and free). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Love HIkaShop!"

What do you like best about HikaShop?

HikaShop is a very easy extension to install. It's easy to configure, add products and images, and add to the main menu. Overall, HikaShop is super user-friendly, and you'll find it's easy to add products for sale on your website, even if you don't have a lot of programming or website experience. What do you dislike about HikaShop?

It would be nice to create a category that allowed you to make sure all the products in that category included the same preferences, instead of having to set each one up separately. Otherwise this is a great extension. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering HikaShop:

Just make sure you have all your product titles, product descriptions, the correct sized images, and prices ready to go when you start your shop. If you do that, you'll be able to implement your shop very quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is HikaShop solving and how is that benefiting you?

With HikaShop, I just go to one area to create a Category, then to another area to create each product, add the descriptions, prices, and images, then add that category to my menu, and my shop is ready to go! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about HikaShop?

I love how easy it is to install HikaShop on my Joomla sites, and then setup a shop. I can literally setup a shop within 30 minutes or less, and my site looks amazing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HikaShop?

My only issue is an error message on the Cart when a person tries to purchase a product, which I haven't yet been able to resolve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

First setup an outline of your product Categories, Products, product prices, and high-quality images for each product. Make sure you have your product descriptions ready, so you can just copy and paste them when the time comes. Then setup your categories, add your products and prices, setup your menu - and you'll be done! If you gather what you need ahead of time and have it prepared, your HikaShop can be created in less than 30 minutes, depending on how many products you have to add. What problems is HikaShop solving and how is that benefiting you?

My only issue is an error message on the Cart when a person tries to purchase a product, which I haven't yet been able to resolve, but I'm sure it will be fixed soon. When a person tries to purchase an item and checkout, I get a message saying that they're unable to Register...even if they're registered and logged in to the site.

What do you like best about HikaShop?

It´s well organized and the logic behind the interface contributes for better management. "Full Featured Shopping Cart with excellent support for Joomla"

What do you like best about HikaShop?

I like how much is included in the Business Edition out of the box. Because it is made by the same group, everything fits nicely together. For most sites we build based on this software, we have to buy very little from other vendors.

They make sure when they upgrade underlying API calls, they make them as backwards compatible as possible so unless you are using a weird feature that no one else is using, 95% of the time it will work without having to re-work anything. I love how responsive their support is. It's very well tested so very few bugs new bugs are found between versions.

They are very quick when you have an issue. They are receptive to incorporating code and for adding small features pretty quickly They provide sample code when appropriate. They have a road map for the larger features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HikaShop?

They don't keep the documentation up to date. There are feature

The email template system is kinda clunky. It is usable but it is tough to understand which one to edit for which situation. The 3 sections for each email template is a little confusing but there is enough power there to do almost anything you want. There is one place they need is to be able to do custom messages for each status type like confirmed, in production, packaging, shipping, shipped, etc.

It doesn't have a nice one page checkout. You can have everything on one page but it still refreshes the page for most things. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Figure out all the features you need, try the Starter Edition (it's free), on a dev site then map out what all you want to do with the site. Then, you can decide which edition will best suite your needs. Search the forums as there are a lot of questions and answers already there you may already have. We work with a lot of companies to do e-Commerce. Because of the flexibility out of the box, the responsiveness/helpfullness of the company, and how stable it is, it allows us to launch an e-Commerce site for a client with confidence of maintainability, upgrade-ability, easier, and faster than other Joomla carts we support.
