What do you like best?

The features of Hawksearch allow our business to be able to filter and select on specific keywords, facets, and other useful tools to be able to better enhance the customer journey. I would make sure to review Hawksearch's features/functionality and make sure that they align with your company's goals. Also integration is key. Review what it will take to implement Hawksearch into your enivronment, some search platforms can be easier to implement then others. Take the time to learn and train your team on how to use Hawksearch. It can be a very powerful tool but takes time to understand how it all works. Hawksearch allows for top products to be shown while customers are typing, which allows customers to find their products faster. We have found that utilizing their recommendations tools have brought customers to the products they are looking for faster as well as showing customers products they may not have heard of. What do you like best?

Hawksearch is feature-rich, easy-to-use, and has improved the search function on our website immensely. I especially like that we can tailor the results for individual search terms, easily set up synonyms, and design custom banners to show up for specific search terms or results. No problems! I find myself using it to navigate our website on a daily basis because of its ease and effectiveness. I'm a big fan of the boost/bury rules. What do you like best?

Hawk is highly flexible and customizable. This was very important for us on a proprietary platform operating over 100 online businesses. Their customer service and response times are excellent. Their uptime and performance is also excellent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

I would like to see better use of AI and machine learning technologies. Finding the things you are looking for or are popular can be difficult for shoppers on large-scale catalogs and leveraging ML to help improve that experience is something Hawk should invest more in.

Having a large catalog can be a challenge at times specially when we need to re-index. Hawk actually indexes very fast, but having more controls and better options could be useful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We have had 5 different search solutions over the last 10 years and HawkSearch is by far the best. It allows our technical team to easily fire up new websites and also enable our marketers to do the merchandising job they need to do.

Hawksearch provides functionality we need at a fair price, with tools developed both in mind of developers who will implement and business users that will administer them. They never stop in evolving their tools nor listening to customers to add to their roadmap. What do you like best?

I will approach this survey more from an improvement side than a business-clients, enthusiastic about significance of results. The Hawk Search stage is extremely instinctive, eCommerce centered, and wealthy in highlights. The establishment the group has fabricated is a solid one, one that is certain to improve with time and refinement. We have discovered a couple of holes in their API, yet once more, the group has been exceptionally pleasing to rectifying those and working with us. We were additionally progressing from another item that their association gives, and found the change procedure somewhat more confused than we were left to accept from the attempt to sell something. What do you like best?

I really like the dropdown feature when entering a search - before clicking - and how it shows preview pictures. If you enter a part number it shows the part so you can confirm before you choose it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

I like the responsiveness of the Hawk Search management teams. If we ever needed to try something new or different, or if we have bugs/issues and we need fixes ASAP, they are always available and on the case. They are really supportive in the strategies we want to develop for our websites, in addition to regularly providing suggestions to improve our current methodology in ways we may not have thought of before. There isn't really much I dislike about the tool. I have experience with a few other site search vendors and our own internally developed site search tool, and I can say that Hawk Search is the best one I've worked with so far.

One business problem related to site search is the ability to capture top search queries that yield little to no results. This may indicate our customers have interests in these types of items, but we don't carry them. Is this an opportunity for us to add that item to our product catalog? We recently identified a few Beauty Branded products that fit this bill, and our current Beauty Brand Manager is looking into the feasibility of adding those types of items to our catalogs. The features. Hawk has built a platform that is full of features - allowing us to customize the results to create a smooth customer experience while meeting our business goals. In the end, they have given us an integration that is seamless, a backend that allows us to merchandise more effectively and the ability to make changes in a moments notice. The reporting gives you just enough, leaving you wanting more details. They cover some of the basics such as queries, poor results, # of results, etc. but lack the ability to segment and filter further. Another challenge has been Hawk's support - critical issues are usually addressed in a timely fashion, but often questions will take longer than anticipated to be resolved. I would recommend that you understand all of the features Hawk has available - there are a bunch and in many regards give you a lot of control. We have been using Hawk Search for a little over 3 years and have been VERY happy with the product. However, the user friendly interface and attentive customer support really add to the value. We have had very few reasons to contact support for issues/problems, but they have been able to help us optimize our use of the solution in many ways.

Most of our questions have been answered within 24 hours and they have been willing to jump on demos/calls with us whenever needed.

Prior to using Hawk, we had very basic search functionality on our site, which was irritating to customers and made the shopping experience less than desirable. Since the change, we've received numerous compliments from customers, and employees at our store have also benefited from quicker/easier searching.

We've seen customers finding some of our older products or items with "broken sizes" much easier than before, which has led to an increase in orders for this type of merchandise. What do you like best?

The best feature of Hawk Search is the customization allowed to a Marketer. The dashboard and tool set allows a company to quickly review, change and provide quick personalization, without the need of a large technical team. The visible score and boost figures will allow you test and improve your results sets much quicker.

What do you like best?

We use Hawksearch for two of our B2B websites. We have run into situations where we needed to change the way products were searched and how customers can find them. Hakwsearch always gave us detailed descriptions of how to change the settings and get to the solution we needed fast. They even spent a few hours walking us through our entire back end to make sure we knew how to use the features that work best for our website. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Sometimes the turn around with our questions wasn't as fast as it could be. If we ran into a situation that was immediate, we didn't get a response very quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

Banner scheduling for various triggers is easy-to-use & well-equipped to handle our needs for promotional content as well as evergreen content. Landing page building can be really simple if the appropriate fields are linked.

Boost/bury rules & item pinning are great tools to manipulate the product offering on a page. We utilize a strategy that requires manipulation, so we leverage these tools extensively. However, there's room for improvement. Including complete override of Hawk's algorithm that sorts products on a page & more robust pinning options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

UI/UX in the dashboard could use some improvement: there's a lot of unnecessary navigation required to make updates across one landing page as well as review your updates. Many times my updates require going into 3 or 4 different dashboards to update pins, bury/boost rules, content, and facets. There are also bugs with icons, so you may need to rely on memory or alt-tags to know where to go. And there is limited capacity to filter/sort/etc. items within each dashboard.

Item Pinning was a great improvement, but the limited capacity to actually pin items ANYWHERE on a page, versus at the top of a page, could be improved.

Analytics & reporting needs a complete overhaul. We find a lot of discrepancies between Hawk internal reporting & Google Analytics, as well as other analytics tools. They tend to be more surface level & less detailed and utilitarian than desired.

Overall, I think Hawk Search is a great tool for some users with smaller product offerings & a limited number of custom landing pages required. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Our CMS does not support custom landing pages, so we leverage Hawk's landing pages to fill in this gap. Also solving the problem of needing more robust search for our large product offering & offering our customers more facets to filter their search results.

What do you like best?

I enjoy the team's ability to troubleshoot any issues we have and resolve them within a very short period of time. This is a very valuable service that most companies do not offer consistently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

I dislike the integration with our e-commerce software but that is in no way an issue that Hawk Search can resolve. Our software is a bit outdated and we are migrating to Magento so these issues should be resolved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

I strongly urge small businesses that want to expand on their user search experience to explore options such as Hawk Search. Specifically in the merchandising aspect, it provides quite a bit of power over generic site searches and allows you to cater the search experience to the search queries or users as opposed to generic layouts.

What do you like best?

I will approach this review more from a development side than a business-users, keen on relevancy of results. The Hawk Search platform is very intuitive, eCommerce focused, and rich in features. The foundation the team has built is a strong one, one that is sure to improve with time and refinement. We have found a few gaps in their API, but again, the team has been very accommodating to correcting those and working with us. We were also transitioning from another product that their organization provides, and found the transition process a little more complicated than we were left to believe from the sales pitch. Recommendations to others considering the product:

If you have a lot of product data attributes, plan to use their API, and have a base of products with a lot of similarities (but in need of unique results), plan to spend time with the initial setup. We are attempting to solve mediocre to poor search results with our current platform, gain additional control of the presentation/frontend development, and have a platform that we can build onto with additional features.
