**What do you like best about hackajob?**

Hackajob is one of the best tools we use for Tech recruitment. It makes sourcing candidates much slicker & easier. The candidates that it suggests us are typically bang on to what we are looking for, instead of having to scroll through 100's of candidates (like on other platforms) Hackajob gives us suitable candidates from the get go!

**What do you dislike about hackajob?**

Overall the platform is great and I do not have any major issues with it. One of the only things is candidates salaries. I find they are much higher than what the candidate is looing for. This may be down to the candidates "trying their luck" however, the gap is to large at times.

**What problems is hackajob solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hackajob has enabled us to recruit across the UK instead of just in our local area. It gives us a large amount of good candidates across the UK who are suitable to our needs. We do not need to scroll through 100's of pages to find 10 amazing candidates, instead it already provides us we good options.

**What do you like best about hackajob?**

I love the ease of use of the hackajob platform, especially with the new Agentic AI tool called Archer that seamlessly integrates into the background, finding relevant candidates for all our roles and automatically submitting them into our ATS. The original product, where I actively source candidates as a recruiter, is also very easy to use. One of the best things is the personal touch from our account managers, Nico and Niall, who constantly make tweaks, give advice, and provide suggestions. They are super responsive and very helpful, which adds a lot of value. Additionally, the initial setup was very easy; it just involved a simple integration into our ATS. I can also log in and use it directly from my browser.

**What do you dislike about hackajob?**

I think some of the network hackajob has is a bit rudimentary in some non-tech business areas as they are only just expanding their reach into other areas, but this is changing. Also, communication skills can be a concern. Hackajob relies mostly on candidate profiles and CVs, and it would be great if they could evolve to include some sort of AI assessment or candidate discussion to truly gauge communication skills, particularly English, since it's important for our business.

**What problems is hackajob solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hackajob helps us handle a large volume of applications, filtering out irrelevant ones and enabling us to reach the right talent much faster with candidates who are actively seeking work. We're reducing our overall costs as we're less reliant on agencies, and we're increasing our time to hire since Hackajob provides relevant candidates who are engaged with us very quickly.

**What do you like best about hackajob?**

I like the new AI tool Archer in hackajob, which has helped us automate applications and attract a higher volume of candidates for roles, effectively without additional effort. Archer is automated and suggests roles to relevant candidates, prompting them to apply if they're suited. We've already seen an influx of applications to our roles in London and India because of Archer. It has reduced the manual work from our side and completely automated the process, making it more time effective and efficient. Additionally, we have a really great account manager who always answers our questions promptly.

**What do you dislike about hackajob?**

No major complaints but a larger presence of senior data science candidates in the retail industry would be good to see in the future.

**What problems is hackajob solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use hackajob to fill niche vacancies. Archer automates applications, attracting more candidates without lifting a finger, making the recruitment process more time-effective.

**What do you like best about hackajob?**

I like the usability of hackajob. It is quite adaptable to the needs I have, which allows me to be as open or as narrow in my search as I want, especially when looking within tech and engineering fields. There are lots of different skills and experience backgrounds that I can search for. Additionally, I can match current live roles in my ATS and link them directly to hackajob. Hackajob uses pre-populated details from job descriptions to create a straightforward search with main skills and requirements, categorizing candidates against these criteria. Also, setting it up was very easy and linking roles to our ATS was really straightforward.

**What do you dislike about hackajob?**

Sometimes the quality of candidates is hard to really identify on paper. I've had to go through a lot more candidates on hackajob to find those that are high quality. For mid-level positions, hackajob is more ideal, but it could be improved for senior, hard-to-fill positions and for capturing the top 1 to 5% of candidate quality. I just don't think hackajob probably contains the top 1 to 5% of quality candidates out there.

Hackajob helps navigate the candidate market with visibility and matches skills with experience, providing a direct line to candidates ready for new roles.

**What do you like best about hackajob?**

What I like most about hackajob is the quality and relevance of the candidates it surfaces. The platform does a good job of matching us with engineers whose skills and experience align closely with the roles we’re hiring for, which saves a lot of time compared with traditional sourcing methods.

It also fits well into our existing recruiting workflow. The interface is straightforward and the candidate information is clear, which makes it easy for our team to quickly review profiles and engage with potential hires.

Another strong point is the candidate intent. Many of the engineers on hackajob are actively open to opportunities, which leads to more meaningful conversations and a better response rate compared with other platforms. Overall, it helps us connect with high-quality technical talent more efficiently.

That they don't give it us for free (hehe)

Hackajob helps solve the challenge of finding and engaging qualified engineering talent in a crowded and competitive hiring market. Traditional sourcing methods often involve a lot of manual searching and outreach, with fairly low response rates. Hackajob reduces that friction by connecting us with engineers who are already open to hearing about new opportunities.

Because the platform focuses on skills and role alignment, it also cuts down the time spent filtering through large volumes of unsuitable candidates. We’re able to focus more on speaking with relevant engineers rather than spending hours sourcing and screening.

The main benefit for our team is efficiency. We’re able to identify strong candidates more quickly, start conversations sooner, and move them through the hiring process faster. That makes it easier to maintain momentum on open roles and ultimately improves the overall hiring experience for both our team and the candidates.

I like and always appreciate the engagement from the team, as they are always seeking ways to ensure they are able to deliver to our needs. I also like to think that we played some part in their own evolution.

It did become easier to use based on feedback, the support has always been really good.

As a company, there isnt much to dislike. I would however like to have seen better more compelling results. We didnt like how much info we had to to put in during initial stages which resulted in less engagement from our team(s).

Hackajob is trying to help solve the problem of hiring talent in a highly regulated environment. We have been able to hire candidates coming through their platform across several of our functions with the hope that as we continue our collaboration those hire number continue to increase.

I find Hackajob's functionality really good and easy to use. I like the dashboard and the whole setup of the system, which is very simple to use. The AI function is fantastic. I also appreciate the Hackajob team, particularly the customer success managers, who are really helpful and available instantly if I ever need anything or need hints, tips, or extra advice to refine searches. The initial setup was incredibly easy, with a delivery call from the customer success managers, and I was able to use it the same afternoon that we onboarded the product.

I like that hackajob allows me to create a free profile, set my preferences for job type, salary, and whether I want hybrid or remote work, and then simply wait for companies to reach out instead of constantly submitting applications. The platform’s interface is straightforward and easy to use, and when it functions as intended, the job matches are often relevant.

At times, the number of interview requests or matches may be limited, depending on your location or level of experience. I also find myself wishing for more frequent updates or notifications when new companies begin searching for candidates. Aside from these points, my overall experience has been positive.

I really like the usability of the hackajob platform; it's very slick and a pleasure to log in to. Archer has been great at providing inbound candidates, making it time-efficient for us when managing multiple requirements. The customer success and service are excellent, and initial setup was very smooth and timely. We also use it to interface with our ATS, which has been a good experience.

I think the branding and volume of candidates that the platform has currently got on its books. I think if that volume could be improved, it could then compete with the likes of more traditional job boards and LinkedIn.

Weekly calls, training, personalised data and analytics - anything you need to get the best hiring result.
We are working with Alex Crites, who has been instrumental in making the implementation a massive success.

I do not think I have much to say in this section. What I can add which is not a con to me is that, the TA team needs to get involved and spend time on the platform. At times it can be hard to get the recruiters to prioritise the platform, but nothing you cannot overcome with training and making them accountable.

Hackajob has great Candidates that are live and available and match my requirements, no searching endlessly, it's candidates at your fingertips. It is easy to use and I literally use it every day, it's like any good recruitment tool, the more you use it the more you get out of it! I have hired over 25 employees with them over the past 3yrs! 
It just makes sense the ROI speaks for itself!

**What do you like best about hackajob?**

So far it's been a great partnership with hackajob, from the initial trial to being live in the platform we've had excellent support from many members of the team. In terms of the platform itself the AI-driven approach to sourcing talent on hackajob has made the process significantly more efficient and targeted. The platform itself is sleek and intuitive, making it easy to navigate. One feature that I've found particularly useful is the bubbles showing candidate's recent companies and tenure at a glance which has been incredibly helpful for quick assessments. Overall, Hackajob looks to to a valuable addition to our hiring toolkit.

Nothing major but we've found that some roles don't have much candidate coverage.

hackajob is helping us find and engage with a broader, more diverse talent pool in Tech, all whilst helping us be more efficient and saving time in the process.

Been able to find some really good candidates for my tech roles, in particular QA and also some Cyber roles. The pipeline is also starting to improve for AI roles as well. 

One of the biggest things is it saves me a shed load of time instead of going through 100s of applications I can just review a select few on hackajob.

I'd say it's great for your London based popular jobs, web, QA, backend, data eng. Would be great to see more talent in  AI & ML.

**What do you like best about hackajob?**

Admittedly, I was unsure whether Hackajob would meet our recruitment needs as it was launching into a new market for us. However, it has proven to be an invaluable tool for our team at Kainos. The platform has significantly streamlined our hiring process, allowing us to connect with highly qualified candidates more efficiently!

Since integrating Hackajob, we’ve seen a significant increase in the quality of our candidate pool and a reduction in time-to-hire. The platform’s intelligent matching system ensures that we are presented with candidates who not only have the right skills but also fit our company culture. We have our first Hackajob lead joining next month, for a role that was historically difficult to fill. And additional prospects currently being explored - hoping there will be more Kainos employees coming from Hackajob in the coming months :)

**What do you like best about hackajob?**

Hackajob has excellent candidate-matching functionality to connect us to the most relevant profiles. Their new AI-led "intelligence" platform is much more effective at identifying niche talent and matching skills to a JD, allowing us to locate candidates we would have missed before. Candidates are vetted by their team and are generally very receptive to discussing job opportunities. They take pride in taking a leading positon in the UK tech sector and have a highly engaged community of talent. I find our account managers to be knowledgeable, strategic and tuned in to the needs of our business.

**What do you dislike about hackajob?**

Hackajob have a broad and engaged client base that you are effectively competing against to secure the top candidates. however I have found that we rarely miss out on the candidates we offer to.  its important your recruitment processes are efficient and champion the candidate experience in order to have success. There are some areas of IT where they do not have a broad pool of candidates but the Intelligence platform is much more flexible at indentifying suitable candidates or helping to attract them in. We have seen notable success hiring a diverse group of candidates and at senior levels.

**What problems is hackajob solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are trying to hire niche technical talent that is in high demand and often bombarded by headhunts and Linkedin messages.. Hackajob helps us identify candidates with a strong match to our requirements and connects us with candidates who are actively seeking a new role. It can help match relevant profiles to our job specs and unearth candidates with niche experience.

**What do you like best about hackajob?**

I can always rely on Hackajob to get top quality Engineers in process quickly. I've been using the platform for the past year and have made 10 hires so far, with a few more still in process. giffgaff pride themselves on having a high quality of code and in the past we haven't seen many candidates pass the interview process. This year we've had much greater success and our conversion rates have improved because of the quality of candidates coming through from hackajob.

I can't use it for all my roles unfortunately. Its better for Tech and Data roles from my experience.

**What problems is hackajob solving and how is that benefiting you?**

hackajob tackles unconscious bias by removing names from profiles. It's super clear for me to see diversity split across gender and ethnicity which is something the business wants us to report on. I can use Hackajob to write an advert, checking whether the language is appropriate for the audience and not leaning more masculine. The new AI feature has been great as it highlights all the tech I've included in a search on a profile, and when you hover over the word it tells you more about it. This has been super helpful for me as a recruiter to help me learn more about the tech I'm hiring for.

**What do you like best about hackajob?**

Hackajob Intelligence has completely changed our approach to Tech & Data recruitment, using this as our place to go, Hackajob Intelligence has help reduce our TTH by nearly 50%. With access to active and recently added candidates that are highly engaged in the recruitment process allowing us to move candidates through the recruitment process quickly and efficiently. 

The Customer Success team are extremely welcoming to any question and are able to provide real time market data to overcome real challenges in the process. 
Not only this, the access to the Digital Product team has been phenomenal, being able to provide honest feedback that you can then see the changes and ultimately improving ease of use as well as super easy initial implementation and integration to our recruitment techstack! 

Every single interaction with everyone at Hackajob from Customer Success, Marketing, Sales, Product to the Recruitment team has been wonderful, i'm yet to find a question that they haven't been able to help with quickly - would definitely recommend the platform to any Tech Recruiter!

Honestly, I haven't come across anything negative! The only suggestion was 'saving' candidates when reviewing, however this feature has now been implemented, kudos to the team for how quickly theyve worked to get this sorted!

Diversity in hiring, speed of hiring and automating the recruitment process. Through being able to toggle on/off the candidate names, the diversity in the outreach has improved by 10%, additionally, the whole process of hackajob intelligence and it's integration with the CRM has automated recruitment, making it much more streamlined and efficient.

**What do you like best about hackajob?**

In the last few months we had a project where you guys took a tricky planning role with a niche toolset requirement and went away and did some sourcing for it. We had a VC and then held weekly meetings when the Hackajob guys presented candidates to me – I really felt listened to and these guys really understood the requirements I had.
This was really helpful for me and even produced some new insights and feedback for the Hiring Manager regarding how tricky the toolset was to find at that grade. We didn’t find what we were looking for at that time, but did allow the HM to have a think about what they could let go. 
 
Hackajob intelligence is great, I love that it saves me scouring the whole CV and I can read the AI summary. This is especially helpful for those with niche toolsets - if what I want isn't there I can move on quickly!

That I can't use it for all of my roles!

**What do you like best about hackajob?**

Hackajob is the easiest platform for sourcing IT candidates. It provides valuable market salary insights, helping me evaluate if our salary bands align with candidate expectations. 

The platform interface has significantly improved over the year—navigating candidate CVs is now seamless. The AI tool is a huge time-saver, highlighting relevant experience and providing summaries for each CV.

The quality of candidates is excellent, and features like easy interview scheduling and the new direct application invitation option, make hiring process much easier. Also would like to highlight how engaged and responsive Hackajob candidates are.

Hackajob is quick, simple to use & effective. You put in what you're looking for, salary, location ect and it will show you people who match which makes it simpler to go through instead of scrolling through irrelevant candidates for that role.

Cuts sourcing time in half & brings up candidates who are open to work, more engagement and a quick process.

Depending on the role there could be a number of candidates that are spoken with, it would be nice for Hackajob to give alerts if I haven’t given feedback in a week or more to make me aware in case there are candidates I have forgot to get back to or has slipped through. 

It isn’t a huge issue, everything else is great this is just something I thought about recently.

It has giving us people who are interested in working with BT, I had two roles recently that i had multiple interviews for with no success - I found someone in Hackajob for both roles and within a week of speaking to them, they had interviews, offered & signed their contract to join.

Hackajob has been a dream platform to work with, from the ease and simplicity of navigating the platform, to the calibre of the candidates, to the AMAZING support and guidance from Sophie Ayres, the Senior Customer Success Manager allocated to us. 
I decided to exclusively advertise some of our roles on Hackajob, and had our first hire within a matter of weeks. 
Definitely will be continuing to use for other roles and strongly recommeding to the rest of the team to utilise!!

Not loads to say here, maybe just that there were very few candidates for one super niche role I was hiring for - but that's not abnormal as see this myself when using various other avenues to hire.

The new intelligence tools enables us to identify candidates on industry experience and provides us with insight onto skills and experience. Our Account Manager, Maddy is fantastic, she assists on making our roles more accessible, quick to add new positions and answer any other queries we have!

hackajob is a firm favourite platform of mine to use when sourcing for Tech roles. The candidates are vetted, active and engaged; the platform is extremely user friendly and the team are just the icing on the cake! Sophie Ayres has been incredibly insightful, helpful and supportive with an incredible in-depth knowledge of the platform which has been great when learning how to find the best candidates for my roles. One of my favourite 'unicorn' candidates of all time came from hackajob and been successful in a role recently that was particularly hard to fill; I wouldn't have found her otherwise so the features on hackajob have really opened up my search!

Hackajob platform is very easy to navigate, user friendly as well as effective interactions with active candidates. The platform provides a good range of techy profiles which you can't find on other platforms. I use hackajob frequently when I have any technical requirements. 

A plus is that they have started to get good freelance profiles on top of their existing perm profiles which is good for me as I recruit heavy on both perm and freelance aspect.

Shout out to Taylor! She is a massive plus and makes my hackajob experience pleasent. She is always available when I need support and resloves any issues I have in a efficent and quick manner. I have monthly catch up meetings with her to go through reporting and metrics as well as providing me information on industry trends and insights which is always useful.

Not a dislike but it would be great if hackajob can branch out to more to UCD profiles such as Service designers, UX/UI designer, Interactions designers etc.

When I create a job on the platform, I don't always get the right matches but the account manager (Taylor) is really helpful and solves this problem for me which resulted in having more profiles being matched. This gives me a true view of how good the candidate talent pool is good within hackajob platform.

Hackajob also helps me with profiles that have security clearance which benefits me as some of the requirements I have need SC. As a recruiter it saves me so much time.

Hackajob has been wonderful to use and has helped us find some great additions for our company already. The experience using it so far has been really great due to a number of different reasons. Ranging from the application itself to the amazing team that they have. Quite a useful tool to find good tech candidates, while not being overloaded with a huge volume of profiles. Saves a lot of time, since the candidates that you see on the application are all active candidates and close matches. Also integrates quite well with the ATS we use and Google Calendar, making it quite convenient to use. 

The support you receive from their team also makes for a great experience. Sophie Ayres is always checking in with us and guiding us on how to get the most out of hackajob. She asks for feedback regularly, has lots of tips for handling different situations and is happy to support with data.

**What do you dislike about hackajob?**

No such downsides have stood out to me so far. Can't be used as much for non tech roles, but that is not something they claim to be offering anyway.

**What problems is hackajob solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hackajob is eliminating the problem of plenty for us, while giving us profiles that are relevant to what we are looking for. For tech roles, we often end up with heaps of applications, and while that is a good thing, the relevancy is not always very high. By using hackajob we can focus on the profiles that are a very close match for our jobs, which means that we often have to interact with less candidates to get the same results. Saves time and resources.

I have been very impressed at how helpful and attentive the hackajob team has been. They listen to our needs, take our feedback, follow up on any issues/fixes promptly and are a joy to work with. I especially loved how non-aggressive their approach is when it comes to seeking new business, as well as how easy they are to get along with.

I don't like that if there are a team of recruiters, all recruiters see the same exact people without any indication if someone from the team has reviewed a candidate for a role already or not. This creates a lot of duplicate work and for our recruiting team that can typically pass around roles amongst each other, it creates more work to have to go through previously reviewed candidates.

I like that hackajob is implementing the AI search where we will be able to search candidates in the database based off of certain keywords. This really helps since we have niche roles that are difficult to fill and even harder to explain to recruiting teams that may not have the depth of knowledge we do when it comes to specifics about certain roles.

Hands down the best thing about Hackajob is the staff!! They are so helpful, always checking in with us & are there whenever we need them. Even when I'm asking them to send me across alllllll the data on all the roles I've been working! I've also worked with the talent team this year and they were able to help me find candidates on a couple niche roles I had open. 

New matches come up daily on the platform and it is super easy to go through them. I find Hackajob really easy to use, even uploading a job is very straightforward. 

I use Hackajob daily, and I have to say that it's an all round great platform!

Special mention to Sophie Ayres and Jazmin Lewis - two absolute gems, and play a huge role in BBC's success with Hackajob. Couldn't ask for better. Thank you both!

We've been using Hackajob for Tech hiring at Flutter for the last 3 years or so.

What we love:

Great user interface, easy candidate communication and scheduling functions. 
Basic pre qualification carried out on all candidates, actively growing database of engaged Talent.
Mostly relevant profile matches to role skillsets.
Saves our TA team time vs Linkedin Recruiter - talent are already engaged, we know salary expectations and visa requirements. 
Ongoing responsive  account management and support from the HJ team who also provide useful up to date market insight.

Not so much as an issue recently but we have previously flagged candidate quality on a couple of occasions technical skills mismatch in pipelines, English language proficiency level was also flagged. 

Important to note this feedback was acted upon and the  vast majority of candidates have been great.

Hackajob saves our TA team time. It allows us to engage pre-qualifed candidates who align to our role requirements. Unlike Linkedin Recruiter, the talent on Hackajob are more likely to engage with our TA team and we can communicate, schedule and pipeline directly through the platform.

**What do you like best about hackajob?**

I recruit across the Tech, Product & Data space and was introduced to Hackajob a few years ago when looking to hire across these areas within an ambitious scale-up. Hackajob was a game changer in allowing us to access top-tier talent across the the tech space. The Hackajob platform ensures that candidates on the platform are active and pre-vetted which was extremely useful when looking to hire quickly at volume as it saved a lot of time within the hiring process. The platform itself also gave us access to a real diverse talent pool where we were able to improve our DE&I statistics with exceptional talent from diverse and under-represented backgrounds. 

One thing that sets Hackajob apart from similar platforms is their customer success team and how seamless the platform integrates with current systems & processes. The onboarding experience was seamless integrating with our ATS and other platforms reducing time spent on admin tasks. The customer success team were top drawer and Taylor our account manager couldn't have been better. From initial onboarding and showcasing the platform to showcasing platform updates to regular stand ups ensuring candidates are moving along the process to give us the best chance hiring successfully she was great. She was always on hand to help and it felt as though we had an additional resource at our disposal. Made us feel very valued and also ensured we were really making the most of the platform. 

Hackajob has been great for helping us to scale key areas of the business within very competitive markets and candidate pools.

**What do you dislike about hackajob?**

No real dislikes to the platform, it is extremely user-friendly and the customer success team are amazing and really take it to the next level as a useful recruitment tool. 

We were quite fortunate to be able to hire remotely within the UK as well as within popular tech stacks albeit the top 5% of the market. As the platform grows so will the candidate pools in smaller locations as well as in more niche skillsets.

Hackajob helping us to hire top 5% of tech verticals within extremely competive spaces whilst also reducing our time to hire.

**What do you like best about hackajob?**

We managed to get high quality candidates for the delivery manager role compared to other channels, which saved time. Integration with Workable is great. Nicky and Tom supported us through the initial trial and they were fantastic. Extremely responsive, and supportive.

We didn't get too many candidates after the initial match - though the candidates we did receive were a better match.

**What do you like best about hackajob?**

The Hackajob team are amazing- they really do feel like an extension of your internal Talent Team who are rooting for your success. It is very useful that you can see how long candidates have been on the market for as knowing you have caught them withint 1 or 2 days is great. The platform is so user friendly and the team are always on hand to support with tweaking role set up etc to increase your matches. We also use the technical testing function which has had some great feedback from our Dev Team. Hackajob is integrated with our ATS Smart Recruiters which makes it easy to keep on top of all candidates in play

**What do you dislike about hackajob?**

Sometimes you do have to do a lot of calls to find the one stand out candidate- but thats just recruitment I guess!

Helping to hire in what is a very competitive tech market. Speed of process getting conversations with people who are fresh on the market.
