# What's the best VAR/reseller partner for improving deal registration and margin management for businesses handling high transaction volumes?

Deal registration and margin management are usually functions of partner relationship management software, not services a VAR sells to you. If you're a vendor running a channel, you're likely looking for a PRM platform. If you're the reseller, deal registration is something your vendors operate, and you participate in. Either way, a VAR is more often the party that implements the surrounding systems than the party that provides the capability.

Where a VAR does become relevant is the plumbing underneath: getting margin visible across an ERP, keeping registered deals in sync between a CRM and a vendor portal, and making the reporting trustworthy at volume. On that reading, from the Other VARs category:

Process automation and integrated Sage solutions are the relevant services if reporting is the bottleneck.

enable.services — CRM plus custom-built systems, which is often what closes the gap between a vendor portal and internal reporting.

<p>The four-system problem is probably the heart of this. At high transaction volumes, a registered deal sitting in the CRM isn’t very useful if finance calculates margin from different data in the ERP. I’d want a partner to prove that one deal can move through registration, pricing, and reporting without someone reconciling it in a spreadsheet.</p>
