I cannot tell you how many times I've been able to find a nugget of information that opens doors to other funders, foundations, and the like. Likewise, their newsletter is superb, and it allows me to share expiring grant opportunities that are irrelevant to us with other organizations that are a better fit. I continue to highly recommend GrantStation to every nonprofit that is searching for grants! **What do you dislike about GrantStation?** GrantStation takes LOTS of getting used to - it's not quite as intuitive as it could be, but the power of its filters, project bookmarking capabilities, and scheduling features far outweigh its difficulty. Frequency of use paired with their tutorials is a game-changer. One thing I really am not fond of is the price tag on many of their grant training webinars. It's hard for small organizations to justify approximately $70 for a single training. Those prices are meant for larger organizations that have the budgets to sustain those prices. I'd also love to see better searchability for past webinars. **What problems is GrantStation solving and how is that benefiting you?** GrantStation helps our organization search for (and vet) potential funding sources. It is a huge timesaver, and many of its search functions open up other potential avenues that we were previously unaware of. Their newsletter is usually very helpful, with reminders of funders who have rapidly approaching deadlines. The newsletter also has helpful links to relevant blogs and articles that are helpful to nonprofits and their fundraising efforts. ### 3. We quickly identified European and U.S. funders open to projects in West Africa—something few databases offer. Smart “fit” metrics. Mission and geography filters highlight funders that actively support arts, education, and underserved children, saving us hours of trial and error. Prospect Manager. We can tag, rank, and export funders into a shared calendar, keeping our small team on the same page. Training resources. Webinars and sample documents help staff understand donor expectations and craft stronger proposals. For nonprofits operating outside the U.S. or serving international communities, GrantStation is an indispensable prospecting tool. **What do you dislike about GrantStation?** The only drawback is that it only supports single users, with no option to add multiple users. **What problems is GrantStation solving and how is that benefiting you?** GrantStation solves our biggest fundraising hurdle: finding funders that truly match an international, Liberia-based music nonprofit. Other databases are heavily US-centric or lack detailed filters, so we wasted time chasing grants we were never eligible for. With GrantStation we can: Filter by region and mission to surface foundations that explicitly fund projects in West Africa. See “fit” metrics that flag eligibility barriers before we spend hours on research. Export a targeted prospect list straight into our grant calendar, keeping our small team organized. We have been a customer for years and have appreciated the user-friendly environment and the quality of the information contained in the database. Many grant research tools exist but few offer the quality that GrantStation provides. One unique offering is that they vet funders to ensure they are accepting proposals. This saves significant time and frustration for both nonprofit and the funder. I love being able to access the 990 on the site and click through to the funder's websites. GrantStation is reasonably priced and saves significant time when prospecting new funders. **What do you dislike about GrantStation?** There is nothing I don't like about the platform. **What problems is GrantStation solving and how is that benefiting you?** Nonprofits need to identify appropriate funders for their projects and activities. Would highly recommend Grantstation for anyone looking for grants, and especially for anyone more on the budget conscious side. **What do you dislike about GrantStation?** It's not meant to be used as a full CRM, though there is some functionality to manage that. We joined when TechSoup had a promotion and got a full year of GrantStation access for $99--you can't beat that price! **What do you dislike about GrantStation?** We are still learning the ropes, but so far everything has been straightforward. The database is huge, so having webinars and/or training resources might be helpful.
