&lt;p&gt;I’d measure whether automation actually reduces staff intervention, not just whether the overdue list is better organized. The useful metric would be how many delinquent accounts resolve after automated reminders or payment retries before someone has to make a call. If manual collection activity drops while recovery stays steady or improves, that’s a meaningful operational win for a lean team.&lt;/p&gt;
