The application was spot on and was perfect for what the client was wanting to get out of the product and into their website's search functionality. **What do you dislike about Google Maps Platform?** It was a little difficult tracking down the right product to integrate and easily understanding where to go for integrating with API. **Recommendations to others considering Google Maps Platform:** Definitely give it a shot, it really has very few flaws for what it does. **What problems is Google Maps Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?** Google Places solved our qualm with not being able to bring up local landmarks, etc on a custom map function that we were building in a wordpress plugin. ### 4. It does a great job putting together the important factors you need to show your potential clients/buyers. Google has also done a great job of adding new pieces of content that enhances your profile like specials and posts. **What do you dislike about Google Maps Platform?** I feel they can go even further in enhances google places by helping you push your information to other sources so that agencies don't have to go to third parties. Also Getting it setup can be a bit complicated if you are a novice to programming or API's. **Recommendations to others considering Google Maps Platform:** It's a bit complex to use and is hugely powerful. There isn't really another option for mapping that's as widely used as Google Maps. **What problems is Google Maps Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?** We were wanting to display different locations on google maps across several websites. For this we used a free Maps Javascript API. ### 8. Not a complex solution. Nice graphical interface with a lot of resources embedded into maps inherent with the fact that many people use google maps. Thus it has many other points of interest, listings, etc. at the user's disposal. Relatively easy to implement. **What do you dislike about Google Maps Platform?** Usage limits and fees, especially for non-profit clients. Sometimes also a glitch with no solution causes much grief. Does not always work exactly like it should. Because of glitches, had to re-write project to use other mapping solutions, which in fact turned out to be much better. Should have more flexible pricing structures and plans. **Recommendations to others considering Google Maps Platform:** Take a look at all solutions and don't just use google maps because everyone else seems to be using it.
