"Highly Customizable, Yet With a Learning Curve"
4.5/5
What do you like best about GoodData.AI?

I value the way GoodData.AI lets us meet the varied needs of different clients without reinventing our approach each time. The customization options and stability have been impressive. Being able to embed BI directly into existing applications is the biggest practical win for delivering insights. I appreciate that it saves me from rebuilding work for every client, allowing standard reports to be set up once with customization as needed. The practical and easy-to-pick-up tools, coupled with scripting flexibility, fit well with any application we use. Finding the specific data I need is straightforward, and the ready-made configuration options save me from setting everything up from scratch. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GoodData.AI?

The flexibility comes with a learning curve; there are so many configuration options that a newcomer can feel a bit lost before finding the efficient path. I would welcome clearer guidance early on to shorten that ramp-up. I'd suggest clearer onboarding guidance or guided templates for newcomers and a simpler way to surface the most useful configuration options, so people can find the efficient path without having to dig through everything first. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Anna Slabunova of GoodData.AI

Hello Gary!Thank you for the detailed feedback! Setting up standard reports once and customizing per client, plus embedding BI into your existing applications-exactly the flexibility we're aiming for.

Your suggestion for guided templates and clearer onboarding is a great one, and something we'll pass along as we keep improving the ramp-up experience for newcomers.

It's great to hear GoodData is cutting down repetitive work and fitting well across your different applications.

"Secure Data Access with Robust Integration"
4.5/5
What do you like best about GoodData.AI?

I really appreciate how GoodData.AI opens up data access across our teams without risking confidentiality, letting me deliver clean, governed insights to stakeholders while protecting sensitive numbers. It efficiently handles my biggest issue with ad hoc data requests, allowing others to access dashboards while I focus on crucial modeling work. The integration with our existing ETL setups is seamless, helping me wire GoodData.AI into our pipelines without rebuilding. The API documentation is well-organized and easy to navigate, saving me guesswork in setting up our metric layer. It processes large datasets quickly—like handling several years of client portfolio data—without long waits. I also appreciate the consistency of the semantic layer, which ensures everyone pulls the same numbers and avoids conflicting figures in meetings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GoodData.AI?

Support can be slow to get back to you, which wasn't fun when I was up against a reporting deadline. I've also hit a wall a few times building queries that need to pull from several sources at once, and that does slow down some of my cross-dataset work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Anna Slabunova of GoodData.AI

Hello Laura! Thank you for this comprehensive review! Opening up data access while keeping sensitive numbers protected, and freeing your time for modeling-exactly the balance we aim for.

We hear you on support turnaround during a tight deadline, and on the friction with queries spanning multiple sources-both are areas we're continuing to improve.

Feel free to reach out to me at anna.slabunova@gooddata.com with any additional thoughts.

"Saves Time with Multi-Source Metrics and Flexible, Customizable Dashboards"
4/5
What do you like best about GoodData.AI?

The fact that I can pull in metrics from probably twelve different sources and then look at them all together in one screen (instead of having to make a new spreadsheet each morning) has saved me a ton of time. The data explorer is super-easy to flip through and I’ve even started making real-time queries directly from the dashboard settings screen; this has definitely saved me some time. Noisy in here today so I’m getting lost easily, but yes – the customization is great and as long as you’re tracking either numbers or graphs based on your needs, they don’t make you use only one layout. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GoodData.AI?

The P.L.T.V. Model stuff took me way too long to figure out. And like, there isn’t an obvious place to start, you sorta just mess around until something clicks and also, the benchmark setup is okay, but I think it could be 2 fewer steps. Petty complaint, but the default colors on all the graphs are awful, and I end up changing them all the time. Support answers very quickly, which is good, however - sometimes the response is “go check the Docs”, and the Docs… are a lot. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Reporting with Strong Integration"
4.5/5
What do you like best about GoodData.AI?

I really appreciate that GoodData.AI integrates seamlessly with the tools we already use, especially Salesforce and our internal database. It has effectively solved the issue of disjointed reporting by providing shared dashboards that everyone trusts, which has improved coordination in our team. The platform keeps sales figures current with its Salesforce connection, which helps our daily reporting run more smoothly. I enjoy the impressive dashboard-building options that allow me to customize views to meet my needs. Once implemented, it became an essential part of our daily routine, making it easier to focus on acting on data instead of debating its accuracy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GoodData.AI?

My main gripe is the setup, which gets complicated once you start connecting several systems. Our IT team had to put in a fair stretch of time building the data models. When the underlying database structures change, the platform does not update straight away, and that lag can make me think twice about leaning on it for quick decisions. There is also so much packed in that new users tend to feel swamped at first, which slows things down in the early weeks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"GoodData.AI Helped Us To Simplified Analytics with Conversational Ease"
4.5/5
What do you like best about GoodData.AI?

Tools that I fancy and loved to use is the AI-driven semantic layer and conversational query tools of GoodData.AI. They are incredibly well executed, making it easy for non-technical users to interact with the system without having to learn complicated report builders. You can simply type a normal question, like 'what were our top-performing regions last quarter?' and the system instantly builds the correct chart. This feature has made my work incredibly easy and saves my time, guaranteeing accuracy across the board by posting answers directly from predefined metric rules. There’s no worry about the system creating broken reports, and it's really easy, allowing anyone to use the software. Additionally, connecting the platform to our data was incredibly fast with the setup assistant securely linking to our database and helping us establish our baseline metric definitions in just a day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GoodData.AI?

I think the learning curve for managing more advanced multitenant workspace architecture can get pretty time-consuming. While the front end user experience is beautifully simple, configuring parent-child data access rules and deploying changes as code via the extension requires a lot of heavy manual lifting from a data engineer. They really need to streamline the back end configuration tools so managing complex environments is more visual and less tedious. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Data Virtualization and Dashboards!"
4.5/5
What do you like best about GoodData.AI?

The data virtualization is very strong, and the dashboards are powerful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GoodData.AI?

I believe the learning curve takes a long time, and I sometimes run into performance issues when managing huge amounts of data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Anna Slabunova of GoodData.AI

Hi Mohammed! Thank you for the review! It’s great to hear that data virtualization and dashboards are making it easier to build reports at scale and cut down on manual reporting.

We understand the learning curve and performance with very large datasets are important points. Our guide on improving performance may help: https://www.gooddata.ai/docs/cloud/connect-data/performance/

"Streamlined Reporting with Room for Improvement"
4/5
What do you like best about GoodData.AI?

I love how GoodData.AI turns raw CRM exports and CSV chaos into useful views for my team. Now, pipeline conversations are grounded in consistent numbers instead of different versions of the truth. I appreciate the visualizations for making trends easier to explain to leadership, and reps can see their performance without custom weekly files. The dashboard replaces messy CRM exports and scattered spreadsheets, saving me hours of manual reporting every week. I enjoy the speed of pulling a meaningful view of my pipeline without needing the data team. The variety of chart types is great for showing forecasts, regional splits, or rep performance, making it easier to adapt to different conversations. The self-service features, like adjusting charts or adding filters myself, make my work easier and save me from waiting for the data team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GoodData.AI?

The initial setup has rough edges, as getting data sources connected took longer than expected and recording new metrics feels heavier than it should. I've also encountered occasional bugs, and sometimes dashboards load slowly or filters don't apply correctly, which slows things down, especially during a live meeting. The mobile experience needs work, native CRM integrations could be deeper, and a natural-language query option would save me from building every view by hand. "GoodData.AI Help To Transformative Analytics with Minor Hiccups"
4.5/5
What do you like best about GoodData.AI?

I really relied on the source wizard , it is very important and valuable. It's worth mentioning how connecting a new data source and getting it ready for the dashboard is much less painful than with previous tools we used. Our analysts can set up a new source themselves without needing engineering to step in for every new connection. The process is straightforward, easy to control, and takes less time to set up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GoodData.AI?

The KPI chart option needs some improvement. They are limited compared to the rest of the visualization toolkit. When you want to display a single headline metric with some context around it, the available format feels basic and the customization options are thin. We have ended up using workarounds for some of our executive dashboards. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"It saved us from spinning up separate BI instances for every big client"
4/5
What do you like best about GoodData.AI?

The self-service analytics are a lifesaver, our marketing team no longer has to bother IT and instead can create their own dashboards, getting real-time campaign performance data into their hands in mere minutes. I'm particularly impressed by the embedded analytics capability - we've been able to embed live sales data into our customer portal so that our customers can see their own sales trends without having to log into a different system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GoodData.AI?

This is where the more advanced visualization options can get difficult to customize while they are very powerful, they can be difficult to fine-tune using JSON or CSS, which isn't ideal when it comes to making quick changes. Pricing also increases dramatically beyond basic usage levels, so there's had to be a monitoring of user licenses to prevent any surprises. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient Insights with Minor Billing Hiccups"
4.5/5
What do you like best about GoodData.AI?

I love how GoodData.AI surfaces pipeline anomalies in near real-time, allowing my team to quickly catch and address issues before they escalate. It provides the whole sales organization with a single source of truth, stopping any arguments over conflicting numbers during pipeline reviews. The data lineage visualization is a real lifesaver, helping me trace any dashboard figure back to its raw source effortlessly, which makes answering my VP's questions stress-free. The native BigQuery connector is fantastic, enabling us to have pipeline visualizations running within half an hour without any middleware or ETL issues. The setup was quite easy without any major problems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GoodData.AI?

The billing and licensing situation leaves much to be desired. The line between per-workspace and per-user fees gets murky fast in the admin dashboard. I've had to ping our account rep more than once just to make sense of projected costs as we add headcount, which feels like it should be self-explanatory by now. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
