**What do you like best about Glimpse?**

 A great web request inspector that displays insight and can help with debugging. Provides superior information when compared to IE or Chrome's developers tools.

Debugging, Tracing, extensible and open source.

**What do you dislike about Glimpse?**

Security concerns about it being open source and having to install additional software on pre-existing software to help troubleshoot. Some of this information be can found with existing server tools and developer debugging tools without the need to layer software on top of software.

**Recommendations to others considering Glimpse:**

Look at the potential security implications and if data is available to the developer group already.

**What problems is Glimpse solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quick troubleshooting without having to involve the server support guys. We are able to get more detailed information without having to involve other teams outside of the developer group.

**What do you like best about Glimpse?**

Glimpse should be included in any ASP.Net systems you build from now on. Full stop. It's free, it's secure and extremely useful. The performance measurement is excellent, but the feature that really got me to love Glimpse was Entity Framework SQL query tracing. So much performance is tied up in SQL queries, so having transparency into the actual SQL being run is fantastic.

And it's free and open source, what more do you want?

**What do you dislike about Glimpse?**

It's not a tool that you'd likely run all the time on production system because of the overhead.

**Recommendations to others considering Glimpse:**

Be ready to invest a bit of time into making it accessible on remote systems for the best experience. 

**What problems is Glimpse solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use glimpse for tuning systems and finding the bottleneck that needs focus. By showing both the front and back end code paths Glimpse offers a holistic view few paid tools can match.
