We really like that it doesn't take a percentage of donations, and that the free version is robust. However, we're ready to move towards greater CRM capability thus I will have many more features to delve into soon. Customer service is also a MAJOR draw – the 24/7, 365 model is invaluable. So far, the email campaign report metrics are a bit meager, and the segmenting can be a bit confusing / clunky. I have not yet had a chance to work with automations or many of the other paid features, like high level reporting, but look forward to doing so upon upgrading to Givebutter Plus. We are currently trying to make sense of years of contact data, both in sifting through for engaged contacts only, as well as setting up streamlined communications via automation and behavior segmenting. I love having a CRM database integrated in with our fundraising efforts to track data on our donors. I also really appreciate that processing fees are covered for our fundraisers. Logging in using 2-factor authentication always requires me to get out my phone and look for a text. I would much rather use a 6-digit authentication code for quicker access. Also, some of our donors were confused by the additional platform fees added to their donation. In the payment window, it's rather ambiguous what extra fees are being added and that the donor has the option to not cover the fees. I understand this is intentional to help Givebutter make money, but it is misleading to some of our donors and reflected poorly on our organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Formerly, we were using a mixture of Excel spreadsheets, Quickbooks database, and MailChimp. This tool helps us unify everything under one roof, and we're already seeing improvements to our campaigns since starting with Givebutter. Offering donors an opportunity to pay for the service fees is good and bad. I like that it's transparent, but also instill a bit of conflict for the donor with every transaction. Then there is an opportunity to tip as well, which some donors said they were confused by. We are very happy with how user-friendly and efficient the platform is.  We also like the little chat bot that helps answers questions. Also performed well at the event. It’s also hard to see what the bidding experience looks like from a person’s perspective unless I register myself. Adding cash donations is a bit difficult as well. On top of that, it groups the total donation amount with ticket sales, which can make it seem like someone is making a bigger donation than they actually are. Also does not auto integrate into excel. Givebutter gives our nonprofit an all-in-one place to manage our donors effectively, with a clear visual of who our regular donors are, and the documentation we need for tax purposes. Being able to send emails directly from the system is a real asset, even though we’re not yet taking full advantage of that feature. Overall, it helps our small nonprofit fundraise effectively throughout the year, whether we’re using the general donation option or setting up individual fundraisers. Exporting a 30-day range with fewer than 100 donations took multiple hours to finish, which feels a bit extreme for such a small sample. The campaigns are easy to set up, as it creates a step-by-step walk through so you cant forget anything! The automated deposit feature is helpful because it saves time and having to remember to push donations through every day/week. I also just discovered the custom field under Ticketing, so now when a person purchases a ticket, you can collect their t-shirt size or another piece of critical info. The only downside I can think of currently is that when money is pushed through to our checking account, the transaction doesnt list what campaign it came from. I like the ease of use with Givebutter, which allows us to set up multiple campaigns and events without taking too much time. The ticketing integration is a perfect alternative to other, more expensive options. Additionally, the CMS integration is beneficial as it helps us join all of our contacts across platforms, giving gravitas to our organization and earning trust from our audience. Overall, the platform supports our ability to exist and uphold our mission as a grassroots organization by allowing us to collect donations and ticket our programming at a low cost. Moreover, I wish that the ticketed event infrastructure was a bit better. I find Givebutter to be a very easy-to-use platform. The website is incredibly user-friendly, both for users and donors, and it simplifies the donation process. I appreciate how all our donations are tracked in one place, making it straightforward to manage them, send thank yous, and allocate them toward specific campaigns. I set up a system to have it connect to Bloomerang but I am not sure if it actually does that or not. I like that Givebutter has an app, so I can use it with my iPad, my phone when we're at events. It's easy to just pull up and see who is present and who has paid for tickets to events. It's also easy to see what has been donated before. I like that it gives the option for the people that donate to pay the fee, because most people allow themselves to pay, and so we don't have to pay those few dollars or even more depending on how much somebody donates. That is really nice, that we aren't always responsible for the fee of using Givebutter. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Givebutter? So, recently, we had an event at the farm. We used the app to do some stuff, but it wasn't super user-friendly when it came to trying to stop the sale of a certain ticket. It was very difficult to find that, and I can't remember. I might have even had to go on a desk, which was not convenient. I wasn't the owner of the account even though I'm the executive director, and I handle everything. My access was limited, and so I wasn't able to do some of the things that I expected to be able to do that I needed to do to do my job. And that could have been on my boss. Maybe he was the one that was supposed to set that up. I'm not sure. But that was a bit frustrating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
