Selling tickets, tracking items, and collecting money were all straightforward, and I didn't have to deal with entering credit card details as they were loaded and processed automatically. The funds being deposited the next day was a huge plus. I also found it super useful being able to upload and duplicate events easily, like not having to reenter all the information for a recurring event. What do you dislike about Givebutter? The online auction was still pretty tedious with a lot of buttons and was time-consuming. My organization just hosted a fundraising campaign raising awareness about our 10 Year Anniversary. Givebutter has been a reliable resource and the dashboard is user-friendly. It has been a breeze to login and the software performance is top-tier. I love how much information you can enter to track communications and demographic details. We started out with the free plan but was able to raise enough funding to upgrade to the text feature. The text feature was a bonus for our fundraising campaign because we were able to reach our donors through an alternate communication pat to raise funds they may have gone untapped without it. Our small non-profit does not have a full-time staff member so it has been helpful to spend less while raising more. It is a more intuitive platform than our previous CRM. I like that Givebutter integrates almost every aspect of our organization. This allowed us to replace three separate products we were using that weren't talking to each other. Currently, we have to use an outside product to track our volunteer hours. The problems we run into with Quickbooks are lack of check number and deposit date synching, changes made to Givebutter transactions after sync don't re-sync, and changes made to transactions in QuickBooks don't update Givebutter. It has lots of free features that are fairly easy to use. Having our fundraising, event ticketing, and donor management in one place without platform fees has been a solid upgrade for our team. The donor tipping model works well, as most of our supporters choose to cover processing fees so more of the money raised goes straight to our programs. On the daily workflow side, the drag-and-drop campaign builder makes it quick to launch custom ticketing pages without needing a designer. We don't use the feature yet, but the option to have event sales and donor profiles automatically sync will save us from doing manual CSV exports and spreadsheet updates. The checkout process is smooth, and offering options like Venmo, Apple Pay, and Google Pay helps reduce abandoned. What do you dislike about Givebutter? The reporting functionality needs improvement, particularly when reconciling payouts against accounting software. When deposits are bundled, it is very difficult to identify which specific donors and transactions correspond to a given payout batch. This creates a significant administrative bottleneck during monthly accounting reconciliations, making it hard to track donor history and financial records accurately. Templated reports aren't great either. Even after upgrading, the reporting capabilities lack the depth needed for clean data exports. Adding clearer transaction breakdowns and more options for report templates, including customized reports, would make a huge difference for financial tracking. Before using Givebutter, we struggled to manage modern, multichannel giving options without overwhelming our small team or paying high platform fees. The free platform model gives us a strong ROI, as we can easily run text-to-donate campaigns alongside traditional online giving, which gives our supporters convenient ways to contribute. The UI and live campaign tracking page format make a noticeable difference during fundraising events, helping build excitement in real time while keeping our community engaged. Having these features natively integrated in one dashboard eliminates the need to manage separate third-party tools. Onboarding was quick and straightforward, and we plan to try the online auction features in the future as we expand our events.
