I appreciate how easy it is to set up Givebutter, which makes it convenient for my non-profit fundraising efforts. I find Givebutter very easy to use and set up, which has been great for our fundraising efforts. I love how it allows us to personalize things, making it easier for our fundraiser. We can input donation buttons for different amounts, which helps us keep track of sponsorship opportunities. What do you like best about Givebutter?

What I like best about Givebutter is how many fundraising tools are truly integrated into one platform and easy to use on a daily basis. I regularly use the campaign pages, peer‑to‑peer fundraising tools, event ticketing, donor management, and automated receipts, and having everything in one place has significantly streamlined our workflow.

The campaign setup process is especially helpful—being able to customize pages quickly, duplicate past campaigns, and adjust branding without technical support saves hours compared to platforms we’ve used in the past. The peer‑to‑peer fundraising features make it easy for supporters to create their own fundraising pages, which has expanded our reach without adding extra staff workload.

One of the biggest improvements to our workflow is the dashboard and reporting tools. I can easily track donations in real time, export donor data, and segment supporters for follow‑ups, which makes reporting and stewardship much more efficient.

An unexpected benefit has been how much donors enjoy the experience. The checkout process is smooth, mobile‑friendly, and offers flexibility in covering fees, which has increased donor satisfaction and repeat giving. The platform also integrates well with our communications, making post‑event and post‑campaign follow‑up much easier.

What do you dislike about Givebutter?

While Givebutter is very user‑friendly overall, there are a few areas that could be improved. The reporting and data customization can feel somewhat limited, especially when trying to generate more complex or tailored reports for internal tracking or board reporting. Exports sometimes require additional cleanup to get the data exactly how we want it.

The donor management features, while functional, are not as robust as a full‑scale CRM. Tracking long‑term donor relationships, detailed notes, or advanced segmentation can require workarounds or integration with another system.

At times, the interface can feel cluttered as more features are added, which can make navigation slightly less intuitive—especially for new users or volunteers who only use the platform occasionally.

Lastly, while Givebutter is cost‑effective, the transaction and processing structure can still be confusing for some donors, particularly around optional fees, and occasionally requires extra explanation from staff.

Givebutter also addresses the challenge of accessibility and ease of use for both staff and donors.
