I like the ability to control the mobile access from start to finish sitting at my computer

The software design is not user friendly when setting up holidays, I always make mistakes and have to contact support to fix my issues. I wish I could understand it better in order to do it myself.

**What problems is Genea Security solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Genea software to control access to our house. The mobile access software they supply is a good program and in many ways user friendly. I am able to use it fast and efficiently except when we have to set up holidays off time and close down the house, that is not easy to do, I always have to contact customer support/ai to make sure it's set up correctly.

**What do you like best about Genea Security?**

The Genea platform makes handling access control systems and events a breeze with their cloud solutions. From basic operating to full on in depth programming, it's all possible within one platform. Genea offers a great variety of hardware components to implement, so as an installer, you are not stuck with just one supplier.

**What do you dislike about Genea Security?**

There are some things that can only be achieved outside of the platform, I would love to see these functions also implemented in an optional advanced mode. However, the Genea customer support is always available to help out and replies swiftly. I also miss the option to just print a hardware overview showing all connected hardware, like panels, doors, readers, inputs and outputs. Currently this has to be done for each category separately.

**What problems is Genea Security solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Integrating hardware flawlessly into a cloud solutions accessible from everywhere in the world. This means, if the customer is having issues with their system, we can first check their system for a more in depth view of what is going on before visiting the customers site. This can also mean we already have a basic idea of what is going on and what replacement parts to bring to their site.

**What do you like best about Genea Security?**

It's easy to use and navigate. I am a local admin, so for my purposes of adding/removing people, it has been a short learning curve. I appreciate that I can log in to it from anywhere to address urgent needs that come up too. Its easy to suspend a card if needed. I appreciate the process to add templated badge layouts and being able to have multiple versions; this is not something we had before, and it helps.

I like the idea of integration with our IT systems, but we aren't there yet as an organization to have that implemented.

**What do you dislike about Genea Security?**

There is not "add a new user" on the homepage/dashboard. When I first log in, that is the page it takes me to, and I have to click a couple of times before getting to add a new user. This is a frequent task I complete, and this on the homepage would be convenient. Obviously, not the end of the world either.

**What problems is Genea Security solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It was a problem that we couldn't manage the system from anywhere. Genea allows us to manage access quickly and easily. It was a problem that we couldn't standardize our badge templates across our locations; now we have the template loaded into Genea and the end user can use those we make available.

The minimum turnaround of teaching new users and ease of of overall use of the program.

**What do you dislike about Genea Security?**

Dealing with the Genea engineering team for bulk  changes or uploads. Sending them the required information is not enough as they often require us to addtional work which i believe is their responsibility not the customers.

Genea is used as our buildings primary access control system. It's ability to meet tenant security requirements and to all them to use limited features have help us greatly

I like the user interface upgrade. The menu is simple and the concise. I also like the multi-door select function.
Coming from our previous system C-Cure9000, Genea has been an easy transition. Our Security Team uses Genea on a daily basis.

**What do you dislike about Genea Security?**

Genea's Intergration into our local systems seemed to line up well, but we lost Elevator control moving over to Genea.
Losing that function made the Implementation of Genea a bit rough with the team.

Genea allows my company to schedule and maintain a door list that may change at a moment's notice. We are able to keep a better log of activity though out the building.

The down side to programing the doors is you can't edit the date and time once programed you have to delete and start over.

I'm able to unlock and secure doors from the software and don't have to send officers to unlock doors

**What do you like best about Genea Security?**

It's easy to add or remove access to doors and time control when access can be obtained. It was easily integrated to work together with our SSO and new employees can quickly get the basic access needed without the IT team to jump into action. Their Customer Support in our area is provided by a vendor who has done an amazing job so far. In the few weekly times that we need to check if someone is in or not, how many people have arrived or to send monthly reports of arrivals it provides the information quite well with some limitations.

**What do you dislike about Genea Security?**

Some features are extra and not included in the already expensive payment plan. Some export features are limited very specifically. The search feature is very picky on what's a correct look up.

Physical Entrance to the Office as well as reporting of arrivals in an ongoing basis.

**What do you like best about Genea Security?**

Genea has been the first security door access system I have used directly myself. While my experience is limited with other systems, I can attest that the experience has been more than easy to learn. The platform is very user friendly and the Help search function is, to put it frankly, quite extradorinary. There have been a few times where I cannot quite remember where to find a screen to make the necessary updates - I search a keyword - I quickly find the walkthrough the stays open while I follow the navigation instructions - Then, BOOM, it is done! Not only that, I have been able to apply the logic used in Genea's Access Control to assist my own building's property management with their security's access controls that were not nearly as upfront with the navigation as Genea has made it in their system. Top tier and has been very easy to pick up, then maintain. I would highly recommend.

**What do you dislike about Genea Security?**

The least helpful part as been how the tabs are placed in the system within other windows and sometimes that is not very intuitive. Thankfully the Help search mostly solves this one minor issue!

**What problems is Genea Security solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Genea Access Control provides a live update on who is accessing, or attempting to access, our office and various departments within our office. This allows us to easily report to our clients regarding the overall security of the office. Adding and removing employees has been simple and all history is stored clearly within the Genea Access Control for the same.

**What do you like best about Genea Security?**

I love the real-time anaytics dashboard! It is so easy to get exactly the info I need when assessing daily office attendance or troubleshooting issues. The ease of communication with the system itself is excellent.

**What do you dislike about Genea Security?**

The integration with some of our base building's security clearances has been challenging. Apparently Genea is not compatible, and so our employees are required to use two different access credentials (one for the building and one for our office suite). Additionally, working with customer support has also not been ideal. Whenever we need to order new keycards, it often takes several days to get a response, and once we made the payment for the cards it still took over 3 weeks for Genea to ship them to us.

**What problems is Genea Security solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Genea keeps our offices locked and secured 24/7. The system is also great about sending notifications to necessary parties in case of any technical or mechanical issues. Troubleshooting is easy. They have also allowed our company to move to a mobile-first security process, so employees are able to use their own cell phones to unlock doors instead of a physical badge. We've been able to drive down cost by making the switch to mobile access and employees are issued new access credentials far less frequently.

I love being able to assign multiple users various permissions, office schedules, visitor badges, and many other things. Genea just makes door access in our multiple offices a breeze. We use Genea daily and have had no issues with phisical key cards or user access on their mobile devices. Integrating Genea into our organization was simple.

Honestly not much to say here. The application is easy to use and implement and if we do have any issues, customer support is very responsive.

I like how intuitive it can be to create and manage accesses. The user-side experience is excellent, as it's easy for them to download their accesses and access the office. And, of course, the customization options are vast, with access to APIs and various integrated systems.

In this era of distributed work, it is unnecessary in our case to divide different locations to generate users and access cards for each of the locations. It should be possible to create a different type of organization to bypass these issues.

The user freindly dash makes it seamless to set up users and assign badges. The mobile feature is also very cool. Customer support is also super helpful!

We have had just a handful of folks who were not able to download badges. We had to resubmit a few times before it actually worked.

I woulod say that Genea is easy and very simple to use. The software developers put alot of work thinking of the client, everybody is not proficant in IT. Genea is so user friendly anbody can learn, and to stay secure as well. Genea gets down to exact time and force presure when it comes to unlocked doors and that's very helpful ! Genea also make simple to make changes within a click of a button.

**What do you like best about Genea Security?**

The Access Control lets me see if there are issues with any of my units in office from home. I can troubleshoot most issues relatively easily from the web interface as well; however, issues are so infrequent that most problems are resolved by recognizing user error.

**What do you dislike about Genea Security?**

More robust logging would be ideal. I can figure out what's happening on my Genea boards through some basic troubleshooting, but having some more logging would be fantastic.

**What problems is Genea Security solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This is how we manage all visitors and existing users coming into the office. The ability for us to buzz people in remotely and manage all cards remotely is great.

I always have my phone so it is easy to access. Do not have to be worried about being locked out because I forgot a key card. Easy to just shake my phone and hold it to the scanner.

Phone is dead - must make sure that your phone is charged or have back up key readily available. Not convienient for visitors who may not have the app on their phone and need access after hours.

Much easier to get through the parking gate, not digging for the key card that I dropped or forgot to bring. Easy to use at the elevator/doors for after hours work.

Our company is mostly remote; the office is always available for use, but there is no requirement to come in.  The problem we faced with this setup is how do we keep our office secure, but still have it open for people to use without having to have a person dedicated to opening it every day.  The Genea Access Control was a perfect solution.  We are able to give and revoke access without having to mess with physical keys.

**What do you dislike about Genea Security?**

We haven't had any major issues with the Genea Access Control system.  The only times we've run into problems is when our internet is offline or something.  So you'll want to have a backup plan in place just in case this happens so you aren't completely locked out.

**What problems is Genea Security solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us make our office available for use to any of our employees without having to have a dedicated person come in and open the office every day.  Since we are primarily remote there are not people in the office every day and having a dedicated office opening person doesn't make sense.

The dashboard is very straightforward. Adding employees, editing their information, seeing when and where they scanned in, and so much more is all very easy. The help features are also great. Someone is always quick to respond and help me through my situation.

There was a lot of disconnect between our property management team who installed Genea at our facility, and how it was rolled out to tenants. We were onboarded by Genea thinking our employees would be able to use a Bluetooth key on their phone, however that did not end up being the case. We had to transfer over all the information from the physical key cards we currently used to the Genea system. There were several weeks of confusion of how our employees could get in the building, with several being locked out after-hours or on weekends.

Allowing our employees to access our building after-hours without the need for any additional keys. We are also able to give our employees access ourselves, without having to go through property management like in the past.

One of the things I love is the Remote Door Access.  I can allow someone access if I am not in the office or away from my desk.  During the lockdown, we had a plant vendor who still needed to service our plants. I was able to give them access to our suite from my home.  I also love the Mobile Badges.  When we were allowed to return to the office, I was able to issue mobile badges.   Most employees still use their mobile badges daily.  The dashboard view is my daily screen; all my information is here, easy to see.

**What do you dislike about Genea Security?**

I have no dislikes for this product.  It is getting better all the time.

**What problems is Genea Security solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1. Easy User Profiles - adding and deleting employees is very quickly
2. Deactivating badges - fast and easy to deactivate badges when people leave the company 
3. Dashboard Overview - this gives me a glance at all areas of interest in one place (Early user arrivals and Today's Attendance) are my go-to boxes!
4. Activity- I  can see detailed times and dates if I need to investigate any access issues
5. Monthly Attendance - this helped me to see which days I had the most people in the office when I needed to plan for meetings or activities since we have a staggered schedule.

Genea is super easy to use and makes moving locations super easy. The new watch app has saved me more times than I can count.

From time to time, the controller goes off-line. Luckily the configuration is saved locally so the doors still operate.

Since we are hybrid, it makes provisioning and deploying new IDs for people remotely via the phone app. This has saved us from having to commute to the office and always us to continue our contactless deployments.

Our users often can not access our building and get locked out after hours. The reason I was given was because several tennants lease space in the building, we have overlapping badge numbers. If there is a badge number already assigned to another user, our users badge will not work.  There is no way for us to know who will get locked out until an issue happens.

I now have access to add new employees and assign them badges where prior to moving over to Genea, I had to reach out to building management and wait weeks before getting badges.

Genea Access Control offered an excellent dashboard UI and a good suite of REST API tools for us to automate auditing and reporting for SOC review. We are pleased about what it can do for our employee access analytics. The Rest API tool allows us to export the records to another data analytics tool to further analyze the employee access records. These records are then used for office activities and meeting room usage planning.

**What do you dislike about Genea Security?**

Not so much of a dislike but I would recommend the Genea Access Control dev team to develop features like event hooks processing or integration to an external logging system so we can review it via Splunk or Kibana, etc.

**What problems is Genea Security solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Genea Access Control solves the headache of physical premise access control and reporting for SOC review. This is very important to keep our organization compliant with access regulation and SOC compliancy.
