It also has great options for setting up automated update schedules. ### 2. I can set automated scheduled with Office 365. Very easy to build a SOQL within the app to export. The admin features in the desktop version are so handy! **What do you dislike about G-Connector?** Some of the features dont have full documentation and if they do they are not so easy to find. **What problems is G-Connector solving and how is that benefiting you?** Manage data directly within Excel. Admin tools to speed up admin tasks in Salesforce without having to do it manually. Automatically pull data from Salesforce using scheduling features. ### 3. Solid Intuitive and Robust (enough) **Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Ray W. | Data Management Consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** September 29, 2020 **What do you like best about G-Connector?** Right out of the “box” I immediately connected to my org, pulled data using this software’s SOQL GUI which is simple and clear even for non SQL folks and walks through choosing an object, fields, filters etc. I needed to dedupe some records and using excel 365 remove duplicates combined with this software’s delete (and undelete) function, I quickly removed the records and stored them for safe keeping. I selected two records by mistake and the undelete feature worked beautifully. I can’t wait to try more features and will definitely buy this software. I agree with previous review I read elsewhere before downloading a full featured evaluation copy — I don’t know how I got along without it. **What do you dislike about G-Connector?** I can’t say I dislike anything yet, but I wonder how well this performs with non-standard Salesforce add-ins like EDA or NPSP. NPSP has made working with our forms vendor a bit hairy at times due to the (understandably) lack of documentation or FAQ contingency covering these plug-in products that remodels the standard architecture. **Recommendations to others considering G-Connector:** Seriously, try it. Unless you have a really complex use case, this software is a must have. Beats the pants off Workbench and DataLoader! Sorry but it’s so much easier this way. **What problems is G-Connector solving and how is that benefiting you?** Benefits are ease of use and low ramp-up learning curve. Everything is in plain language and positioned well so I’m not flipping through different screens just to complete a task. Problems we have are with data holes and large amounts of data input that are better done on a spreadsheet rather than boring staff to tears inputting repetitive fields for thousands of records. So right now they’re skipping the repetitive columns in the database. But then it’s impossible to get any good reports. Summarizing fields that only have 5% fill rate is frustrating. Xappex quickly and easily pulls the data, fills the holes, and pushes back to SFDC for gold star reports. ### 5. Use this application and everything will be easier and simpler. **What problems is G-Connector solving and how is that benefiting you?** Thanks to this application all the management of data and information in the company could be managed and classified much better than before, with great speed and simplicity we can file and have everything in order in less time than we did before, the application works excellent and in short time you can do multiple things thanks to this application that will give more time to look at other work tasks. ### 6. Really handy for weekly meetings as you can set up a doc with all your reports from SF and the graphs you need for slides and sync everything manually or on a specified recurring basis. Being able to easily move everything over to Google Sheets and keep it updated, means you can do a lot more with the data and customize graphs more than you can in SF. **What do you dislike about G-Connector?** There isn't much I've run into that has been a problem. It is easy to use. One thing that comes to mind is when I copy over a doc, it is hard to tell if the reports are still being synced using the schedule from the previous doc. **What problems is G-Connector solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are able to do more robust reporting on our sales data. It allows us to easily keep track of sales pipelines, overall sales performance, and individual reps. The ability to customize things more than in SF and keep multiple reports together in one Google doc has been very handy. Also, everyone in the organization can get insights into the data, not just those with SF access. ### 9. I wish I could link my SF and google accounts better so I wouldn't have to log in every time I go to use it. **Recommendations to others considering G-Connector:** Be careful that people who use this know how. If not, you can upload a lot of bad data. **What problems is G-Connector solving and how is that benefiting you?** Sometimes it is easier to see data in a spreadsheet format. I use it to quickly look at reports and be able to edit them right there instead of downloading and uploading. ### 10. Also I noticed some time stamps can be off but that maybe an IT issue. **Recommendations to others considering G-Connector:** Nothing really, as long as everything keeps syncing up that works great! **What problems is G-Connector solving and how is that benefiting you?** Able to have that accountability with the tracking in between the platforms. There is always a record and some where to go back to. You need that scalability when talking to 200 people a day ### 11. There isn't a really easy way to understand how it works, it took me quite a few days to get a handle on what I was doing it and how to effectively use it. **Recommendations to others considering G-Connector:** Look into the different uses of G-Connector that could streamline your process. I'm finding new ways to utilize this tool every week. If you feel like you are wasting a lot of time doing tedious tasks in your CRM, I recommend this tool as an easy way to control your CRM activity without having to sit through those annoying tasks.
