Banked hours policy. Ask exactly what happens to unused hours during a team transition, plan change, pause, or cancellation. We lost 100 banked hours we had paid for after a team transition, with no carryover and no recourse. Get the policy in writing and understand the expiration triggers before you commit a dollar. 2. Art director accountability. Ask how brand guidelines are enforced internally, what the escalation process is when a brief is repeatedly missed, and whether you can request a different art director without penalty. Don't assume "dedicated team" means "team that follows direction." 3. Queue prioritization. Ask how priority labels are actually honored on the production side. We labeled items Priority 1 and watched the team work bottom-up instead. Get a clear answer on whether priority is enforced or merely cosmetic. 4. Platform reliability. Request a live demo of the actual production platform — not the marketing site — and submit a test brief during the demo. The platform we used was buggy enough that it materially affected our ability to operate. 5. Revision economics. Ask how revisions count against your time, especially when revisions are needed because the original brief wasn't followed. The "unlimited" framing falls apart quickly when half your hours are spent fixing avoidable mistakes. 6. Trial seriously before scaling. If you have meaningful creative volume across multiple brands, do not commit a portfolio's worth of work to Flocksy before stress-testing them on a single brand for at least 30–60 days. The issues we encountered would have been visible in that window. Honestly, if you're a multi-brand operator with real volume needs, I'd recommend looking at alternatives first. The unlimited-creative subscription category has matured significantly, and there are services that actually deliver on the promise. **What problems is Flocksy solving and how is that benefiting you?** We engaged Flocksy to solve a real and ongoing problem: creative bandwidth across a portfolio of brands. As a multi-brand operator, our needs span video editing, graphic design, social media assets, event flyers, brand collateral, and ongoing marketing creative across multiple verticals. The unlimited-subscription model with a dedicated team and art director is, in theory, well-suited to this kind of volume — it's exactly why we chose them over hiring in-house or stitching together freelancers. In practice, Flocksy did not solve this problem for us, and in several ways made it worse. Instead of reducing creative bottlenecks, the relationship created new ones. Time we expected to spend on strategy and review was redirected into rewriting briefs that had already been clearly written, re-explaining brand guidelines that had already been documented, reordering a queue that the team didn't honor anyway, and chasing revisions on work that should have been right the first time. It makes it hard to really disconnect on holidays or to transfer hours to a busier time of year. Sometimes feedback can be harder to communicate than if you are used to being able to sit beside a person at their workstation and give realtime feedback while in the editor. They're also pretty quick with churning out the deliverables, so it's a nice pillow to rely on with getting client work done quickly. **What do you dislike about Flocksy?** They allocate a specific amount of hours every day to your projects - the number of hours depending on what tier you get, so for example, the highest tier, which is what I have is only 4.5 hours per day. The other thing that is a but sucky is that there's no timeproof for their work, so it's a bit difficult to gauge truly how much work is and can be done within your allocated hours. Although it's being positioned as a negative, I can also see it as a double-edged sword. I've tried 3 different graphic design companies in the past year, and Flocksy never disappoints. I love my project manager — she helps me figure out what category a project should be under (and believe me, I come up with some challenging projects! LOL) and who the best designer or developer is for the job. I also LOVE that I get to communicate directly with the designer/dev/VA through Flocksy's outstanding portal. This makes creative directing projects SO much easier. And because of it, there's a lot less wasted time of go-between, like with other similar companies. Their designers and developers are not only fast AND good, but they pay attention to the details of your project. **What do you dislike about Flocksy?** The only reason I use any other company is because Flocksy doesn't develop within FG Funnels/GoHighLevel (white label). Easy software to use. The copywriting I get back is progressively getting better. Some writers are better than others, but even the ok one's I can work with the copy they provide. Thought I was starting off easy with a request for 5 "monday motivation" social media posts. Don't get me wrong, the project manager responded to me quickly and effectively, the software guided me through the request. But the results were less then satisfying. I run a Disc Golf Company, https://discgolfdash.com. Even if you don't know anything about disc golf you should be able to create some straight forward sport related motivation posts. If you need help desk support, they respond within minutes, and our project manager seems to be always available as well. Great communication and support! **What do you dislike about Flocksy?** For the investment, articles from Flocksy writers should be run through something that checks for plagiarism before it is sent to the paying client. We have had a couple of issues with that. Our project manager has addressed it immediately and removed the writers from our account (and we have lots of great team members to choose from, so this didn't hurt our turnaround time). Overall, happy with how the issue was addressed but would be great if this was included in the service. **Recommendations to others considering Flocksy:** We did a lot of research before signing up with Flocksy. I submitted a few projects and already had results back within hours. The initial projects I started with were content for our social media and blog posts to build out a project I was working on. Since then, they've helped me with everything from content creation (and I mean everything) to creating the design for our website and new apps. Their strengths lie in their incredibly quick turnarounds and quality output - saves me SO MUCH TIME not having to ask for tons of revisions. The cool thing I liked is having everything in one place. First I'd have the copy written for my social media ads then a designer on my team would go to town creating amazing graphics. I even used them on the side to touch up some photos for my personal Instagram when I had some downtime. **What do you like best about Flocksy?** Project managers are amazing and the first time I've ever even seen that level of help in a service like this. You don't think much of it at first, but having someone to assist with things, get on calls, explain details and more was a lifesaver. That wasn't my favorite thing though. With Flocksy I got more than just a designer or writer. You build a relationship with qualified people who do what they love (Shoutout to Laureen on my team). **What do you dislike about Flocksy?** If you're looking for a quick one-off project or something you have to put little effort into this probably isn't for you. They offer many features and this isn't your typical put me in Slack or Trello company. Their offering is closer to hiring an entire in-house team of people but love the zero HR or hassle with hiring. I've used Fiverr in the past and can't stand one-off gigs anymore. **What problems is Flocksy solving and how is that benefiting you?** Scaling my business and having to hire people on my own. And my wallet loves me now lol. Ironically I was actually taken back at how cheap it was at first but after signing up, I realized they built a streamlined and organized process. Other services I used would only connect you with one person, and this wasn't easy because sometimes they wouldn't be available, might not be good at a task, or, over time, slow down.
