"Seamless Google Cloud Storage (GCS) Management with Files.com"
5/5
What do you like best about Files.com?

We use Files.com as an interface to Google Cloud Storage, which gives us the ability to easily manage access. It's a perfect veneer for our needs, providing an extra layer of permissions, history, permission fencing, and public access. We also appreciate the file permissioning and fencing to prevent unintended access, and that it works well without getting in the way. The command line interface (CLI) is handy as it gives us programmatic access, and the initial setup was very easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Files.com?

Nothing really. It works and works well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Reliable Backup and Centralized File Management That Improves Visibility"
5/5
What do you like best about Files.com?

At Startslice, the biggest value for us has been Files.com’s backup capabilities and centralized file management. We use it to keep generated files in one place instead of relying only on separate FTP environments, which gives us better visibility and more control over file operations. A major benefit in our workflow is that files are not just transferred, but also stored in a structured way, which makes it easier to track activity, review what was sent, and reduce the risk of losing important files. This has made our file handling process more reliable and easier to manage compared to working directly through fragmented FTP setups. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Files.com?

The main drawback for us is pricing flexibility. For lower-volume use cases, it can feel like you are paying for a larger-scale setup than you actually need. We would also like to see a more separate sandbox or testing environment, because debugging in the same account requires extra care with permissions and folder access. Better low-volume pricing options and a cleaner test environment would improve the experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The All-in-One File Orchestration Layer That Replaced Our Entire Custom Middleware Stack"
5/5
What do you like best about Files.com?

I like the centralized automation and reliability of Files.com. It completely eliminated our fragile custom Apex + middleware setup by acting as a smart orchestration layer that automatically routes files to the right FTP servers based on rules, keeps a secure backup of everything, and handles bi-directional sync with zero maintenance. The combination of smart routing, scheduled syncs, webhooks, automatic retries, and a clear dashboard with proper alerts means we no longer waste time chasing FTP failures or debugging scattered logs. Everything just works reliably. Files.com turned a painful, high-maintenance process into something simple, visible, and scalable. The initial setup was smooth and fast, and their support team was responsive. The API docs are especially well-written, making it much easier than our old custom PHP + Apex solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Files.com?

The only real drawback we’ve encountered is pricing. While the price is absolutely justified for companies with high file volumes, complex routing needs, and heavy daily usage like ours (it easily replaces custom middleware and saves huge development and maintenance time), it feels significantly high for smaller teams or lighter workloads. As a development company, we especially lack flexibility in the pricing model. A client who only needs to synchronize a couple of files per day still ends up paying nearly the same as a large enterprise running thousands of transfers. More granular, usage-based or tiered options for low-volume cases would make the platform much more accessible to a wider range of companies. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Files.com Access Review: Reliable File Access with Enterprise-Grade Security"
5/5
What do you like best about Files.com?

As an admin for three sites in Files.com, I appreciate the platform’s strong security-first approach, granular permission model, and detailed audit logging, which make it easy to enforce least-privilege access and maintain compliance. The ability to manage users, roles, IP allowlisting, and automation independently across sites ensures clear isolation and reduces the risk of misconfiguration. Support for multiple secure file transfer protocols such as SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS, and APIs simplifies integrations with internal systems and external partners, while the automation and monitoring capabilities help keep file operations reliable and well-governed without adding operational overhead. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Files.com?

As an admin, I appreciate the powerful capabilities Files.com provides. With slight enhancements to the reporting customization and permission structure visibility, it could further streamline access reviews and daily admin tasks. Overall, it’s a solid platform that continues to evolve in the right direction. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like using Files.com for securely moving files over a secure platform, which allows me to share files without worrying about data being compromised. I appreciate the ease of use from their site, as it lets me easily upload files and share them with anyone without any issues. The initial setup was super easy and fast, which is really helpful. Overall, Files.com has proven to be very valuable and reliable for my needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There could be more features or ways to share files. I would like stronger authentication protocols and maybe a desktop version or on-prem to integrate with my servers/software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Secure Sharing with Room for Improvement"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Files.com?

I really appreciate the security features of Files.com. They are very good and allow me to securely share files with my colleagues or vendors. It's easy to use, which was great during the initial setup. We switched from Google Drive mainly for security reasons, and Files.com has been more secure for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Files.com?

It should have more user access management like limited access to my teammates to access files—something like this. And this is not a big problem, but at the same time, currently, AI is booming everywhere. I think, like, Files.com should have an integration with one of the AI platforms outside, like OpenAI or claude. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful tool for automating file transfers and sharing with customers and external entities"
5/5
What do you like best about Files.com?

The product has been “great” for our company and meets our needs in many ways. We’re able to automate file processing and provide a secure platform for sharing files with both internal and external entities. It is HIPAA compliant, which is extremely important to our organization. The variety of options and integrations also gives us the flexibility to meet both existing and new requirements across all of our customers and partners.

They are very customer-focused and forward-looking. They want to understand what customers are using their products for and explore ways to extend the product to meet current and future needs. They have implemented the requested enhancements and have been very attentive and responsive to our needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Files.com?

It took us a little time to understand which tool to use for each requirement. Once we understood the model, we were able to quickly build what we needed.

We’d like to see more flexibility around security, auditing, and reporting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Secure Sharing Made Easy with Files.com"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Files.com?

I use Files.com to share secure files rather than sending sensitive data through email. I really like the ease of use and the ability to leverage the flexibility that it offers. It integrates seamlessly with a variety of different applications, including Google Cloud and other SaaS tools, which can be set up and configured in minutes rather than hours. The ability to share files securely with a unique link offers a lot of flexibility, and integrating Files.com with DUO for MFA ensures an extra layer of security. The setup was easy and seamless. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Files.com?

I'd like Files.com to offer more advanced file sorting options. This would allow me to keep folders and files more organized. I'd like to be able to drag and drop files and sort by specific file types, names, and dates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless File Transfer with Exceptional Simplicity"
5/5
What do you like best about Files.com?

I like the UI and simplicity of the product site on Files.com, which allows our users to quickly pick up the platform and be the most efficient they can in their jobs. I appreciate the newly announced innovation of expectations, which will allow us to be proactive on unsent file errors rather than reactive. The platform provides a secure, effective, and concise location to safely share files. The initial setup was efficient, and we had assistance along the way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Files.com?

We would like for the group admin to have the ability to edit, delete, add, etc. users. Right now they can't. Files.com is working with us on adding this feature however. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
