It feels like the program was built from lived experience, with a clear understanding of all the exceptions that come up in real life, and it’s designed to accommodate those situations. **What do you dislike about FAMcare?** I don’t like that it takes about a week to receive a response to tasks. The build process has been very tedious and far more involved than the sales team led me to believe. The delayed response shows that it is difficult to complete projects efficiently. The training was not very effective. **What problems is FAMcare solving and how is that benefiting you?** FAMCare is excelling at keeping our data well organized and in one location. This is a huge issue for the organization and now the programs can talk to each other much easier. ### 2. I like that the whole staff can be notified instantly. The easy of training and use has been a time saver for our on boarding process. **What do you dislike about FAMcare?** The household connections are time consuming. The reports i feel like we have to learn a new language to run what we want to pull out of Famcare. **What problems is FAMcare solving and how is that benefiting you?** It helps us keep our paperwork and numbers organized so we can pass an audit. ### 3. Their ability to add features seems limitless- we have yet to be told "no" when we asked for something! It is also simple to use and straightforward for our team- it took them a very short time to adjust to using it because it is so logically laid out. But the most wonderful part of our experience with FAMcare has been the incredible support we received during the development/configuration process from our Project Manager and now, during active use, from the Help Desk team. They have taught me so much so that I can continue to add to my skills with this database and they have acted swiftly to resolve any issues that have come up. The reports feature took some getting used to and they have been extremely patient and helpful as we have worked through our agency's needs for reporting. **What do you dislike about FAMcare?** For us, FAMcare is much more expensive than what we were using, however, it meets so many more of our needs than our prevous database. We have not yet added billable services to our FAMcare array of services but the ability to bill through this system was one of the reasons we were motivated to move over to them and were willing to take on the extra costs. For me, the biggest challenge has been adjusting to the reporting tool- I did not know any SQL prior to beginning my work with FAMcare and that would have been a big help in getting me up to speed on the reports faster but with the assitance of the Help Desk team I am making progress and have learned a lot. **What problems is FAMcare solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our previous database had limited ability to be customized. Additionally, we were not able to document clinical services within our old system which is a small, but important, part of our services. The lack of ability to customize fields in our old system required us to document some part of our work in spreadsheets. Now, with FAMcare and the pathways form module, we are able to track everything we do within the system which means that pulling that data for reports is much more seamless. Additionally, the ability to customize the flow of information in FAMcare means that data entry is much more seamless and easier to access than our old database which required clicking on multiple tabs to get information about one case. FAMcare has also been extremely open to feedback. They genuinely want to partner with users to improve their product. ### 9. I like that it generates reports and saves time with reports. **What do you dislike about FAMcare?** FamCare is inconsiderate across programs and supports KSSP much better than Family Finding. It is difficult to learn and the details and processes vary case by case.
