The easy-to-use interface makes asset tracking straightforward and accessible. I appreciate the real-time visibility it provides into both hardware and software assets. The initial setup and configuration process can take some time. I’ve noticed that the mobile app offers fewer features than the web version, which can be limiting. After spending a few months using AssetSonar, I can confidently say it’s one of the most well-rounded IT asset management platforms I’ve worked with. What stood out to me right away was how clean and intuitive the interface is. Setting it up took some effort — mainly when configuring integrations and custom fields — but once everything was in place, day-to-day use became extremely efficient. What problems is AssetSonar solving and how is that benefiting you?

As an IT Systems Administrator, maintaining visibility and control over company assets has been one of my greatest challenges, particularly as our organization grew and various departments started managing equipment on their own. Prior to adopting AssetSonar, we depended largely on spreadsheets and manual tracking methods. This approach often resulted in duplicate records, lost devices, and incorrect license counts. IT is a comprehensive and user-friendly application that enables IT professionals to efficiently manage both physical and digital assets. With its intuitive interface and easy learning curve, new users can get up to speed quickly. The platform is regularly updated to adapt to the evolving needs of asset management, ensuring it remains a reliable and forward-thinking solution in a dynamic IT environment. When initially onboarding the application the input of assets was a simple task as templates and instructions are provided that made the implementation easy. This was globally adopted for the management and dispensation of physical assets and inventory that was easily used by all staff within the organization. That daily use is a breeze. What do you dislike about AssetSonar?

Sometimes understanding and teaching how to input data can be very- trial and error. There are also lots of different areas to find the same information. It could be a little confusing with all of the options. There is a up side and a downside to that, I feel like you can't get lost if you end up in the same place,you can also customize your dashboard to meet your needs, but to get there you have to click lots of buttons. "Effortless Asset Automation with Intune Integration"

What do you like best about AssetSonar?

Easy use, easy to check out and help automate new assets being created via API connection with Intune. We use it on daily basis to ensure our our assets are checked out and it was fairly easy to impliment. There is also an option to install a package that we can push out if we weren't using intune, but overall we are good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about AssetSonar?

More than anything, AssetSonar provides incredible flexibility and compatibility with several major MDM solutions such as JumpCloud, Jamf, Kandji and more, as well as allowing a very large degree of customization to tailor your workspace to your exact needs. I use it daily and it is one of the tools at the core of my day to day operation.

It is easy to use and the ability to create custom fields, substates, retirement reasons and more makes extremely versatile.

Another great feature is the ability to generate Custom and Detailed reports which the option to run a report of essentially any specific data that you want as opposed to being forced to run a generic report and then pick through the information that is presented.

They are also constantly expanding their offering to ensure that they are providing you with the best management platform available especially with their new and expanding offering of SAAS Integrations.

Customer support is very helpful with even the smallest problems and will find a solution for you, no matter how long it takes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AssetSonar?

At the moment nothing really comes to mind. Any issue I've had previously has already been fixed or resolved the primary one being the lack of an AssetSonar Agent for Linux devices and a more straightforward process for installing the agent on macOS devices. What problems is AssetSonar solving and how is that benefiting you?

The biggest things are inventory management and Audits. AssetSonar is allowing us to keep a clear record of our devices history from purchase to EOL. We can receive full metrics from AssetSonar as well as from the built integration with JumpCloud. They even have a flexible API that allows us to export and utilize the data externally. BEcause of AssetSonar's flexible reporting, we can easily compare the desired data from AS to any of our other Information Systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

AssetSonar solves the problem of scattered and manually-managed IT assets, providing centralized visibility, automated workflows, and integration with existing systems so we can better track device lifecycles and manage inventory efficiently.
