It is relatively easy to learn and fun to implement and design courses. The interface can be customised to match the corporate design and regular updates mean that improvements are constantly being made. The integration into our e-learning site, which is based on Totara, works without any problems. We also use the offline learning packages and incorporate them into presentations, for example. We have never used the customer service directly. **What do you dislike about Evolve Authoring?** Sometimes there are problems with different browsers when transferring the assessment from the learning package to the platform behind it. The best part? It’s super flexible and lets you customize just about everything to make your course unique, but you don’t need any tech skills to get started. The drag-and-drop interface makes it so easy to add things like videos, quizzes, and even different paths for learners to follow. One thing I love is how easy it is to get courses up and running on any Learning Management System. You can easily customize themes, layouts, and interactive elements to fit your brand or style, which is great for making each course feel unique. Evolve also works with SCORM and xAPI, so you can export courses to pretty much any LMS without any fuss. it’s a flexible, user-friendly tool. The triggers function allows me to create fancy interactions. **What do you dislike about Evolve Authoring?** Not much as of yet, but I would want Evolve to add more components for quizzes and interaction. **What problems is Evolve Authoring solving and how is that benefiting you?** No code is required to create courses, yet it allows me to have the flexibility to change the themes of the courses entirely. I understand that some of the design is hard-coded but still as a software, it is pretty much accessible and easy to use. Also, once the theme is created I do not have to worry about any thing else. Evolve helps me create courses that look sharp. The components features ensure a good level of responsiveness to different screen dimensions and formats; the layout is easy to control once you get a good grasp of the Theme and Article Styles. What I like most about Evolve is the large range of components, from text and image to game quizzes. **What do you dislike about Evolve Authoring?** Some of the features look like they were created once and left untouched since then, like quiz game, infographic, demos, etc. They are advanced components and should have more properties and settings available for our control. Also, on a basic level, Evolve doesn't really allow us to have a good control over simple components. The possibility of reusing assets is very easy to do in the authoring tool, this saves time and effort and allows for the creation of module courses. The support team is fantastic. They get back to you within a day and provide you with actionable solutions. I love the possiblity of language versions within one course. This makes it tidy and it is very easy to export/import translations! **What do you dislike about Evolve Authoring?** That you now have to log in to intellum support to contact the support team instead of sending them a question directly from the authoring tool interface. I love the fact that the end-product can display like a webpage asset and the interactivity is fluid. Love the simulation activity - but some functionalities are definitely lacking accessibility (i.e. keyboard navigation) options. **What do you dislike about Evolve Authoring?** There need to be clear instructions on how colors are assigned, how article styles function, and where each setting influences exactly what elements? There are duplicate settings (for example, you can change the color of the components in multiple locations) - which can be good, but also causes confusion. While Evolve has come a long way to ensure the user's experience is pleasant, it has been challenging to know where specific modifications and edits can be addressed in the course development cycle. Plus the efficiency of syncing updates integrating into Intellum so quickly is amazing. The Support team is hands-down the best team I've worked with. They are so fast at responding and they do not mind me sending many emails to them for help. **What do you dislike about Evolve Authoring?** The interface for the text portions of any component I struggle with. If you want your text to be white, the backend changes it to white as well and you are unable to see your text for future edits without having to change the color back to black. I also wish any updates/edits aren't finalized until you say so for large edits that you may not want to implement. This is incredibly frustrating at times when trying to action feedback -Since the big update earlier this year (though I was a fan in many ways), there are some serious bugs such as deleting one element sometimes deletes something completely different instead, or elements will temporarily glitch and change name. If you know the general structure of website design or authoring, it's an incredibly easy tool to pick and start making fully responsive content from the get-go. Allowing us to tag, organise and update assets and courses with ease. I love the styles it has to offer and how easier it is to edit and move things around while developing content. **What do you dislike about Evolve Authoring?** Although the tool is great but when I compare it with the tools like Articulate, I think there's more flexibility in the design piece of the tool where Evolve has its limitations and can be more creative. **What problems is Evolve Authoring solving and how is that benefiting you?** Initially moving components in Evolve was very difficult, and in a big module it was difficult to locate where things are. Unlike other tools, an Evolve course can look however you want, and the ability to quickly iterate on designs and content has changed the way we develop e-learning. **What do you dislike about Evolve Authoring?** Evolve can have a steep learning curve, particularly for theming. In essence, being able to customise everything means there's a lot to get used to when you first start. The results are worth it though. **What problems is Evolve Authoring solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are looking to create modern, consumer-style, e-learning courses in a way that supports our collaborative approach with clients.
