"Intuitive, Organizer-First Platform That Streamlines Event Management"
What do you like best about Eventeny?

The interface is intuitive, the features are thoughtfully designed for real-world event management, and it makes communication and organization far more efficient. It’s clear the platform was built with event organizers in mind. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Eventeny?

Interested volunteers are required to create a login before being able to view available shifts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"User Friendly and ease of use"
What do you like best about Eventeny?

I like how everything is in one place for vendor management. Eventeny does a great job of the manage vendor tasks, creating basic maps and allowing guests to purchase tickets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Eventeny?

the only downside I would say, is I wish the map symbols were more robust or you can create your own. However, I will say they are constantly working on new features with maps and other applications and have improved over the year I have used them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Eventeny has made my life SO much easier!"
What do you like best about Eventeny?

I love that vendor applications and the maps are in the same system. Before I would manual make each map in publish and it took FOREVER! I also love that you can send attendees to one simple page to view the map, sponsors, schedule of events, vendors and more! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Eventeny?

I do not like that I cant remove backgrounds on sponsors logos on the map. I would also like to be able to arrange sponsor logo's in the order they rank! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Just what we needed"
What do you like best about Eventeny?

It is a one stop shop for an event like ours we run two conventions and some smaller fundraiser events in between. Eventeny is just as good for our large events as it is for our smaller event. It is very easy to use and intigrate everything you need from vendors and artist management to tickets and applications for things like masqurade and dance competitions. I log in and use Eventeny almost daily as the vendor head/BOD member the reports are extensive and extremely helpful! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Eventeny?

As eventeny is newer there are things that need more touch ups such as the scheduler is a rough time for our larger event but its good enough for our smaller events! Support team is responsive but techs take a while to make improvements this is a very small downside in my opinion. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Has potential but has buggy/clunky aspects"
What do you like best about Eventeny?

Pricing works well for annual events, where you can turn the subscription on and off as needed. Features were easy to use for the most part, though there were lots of aspects that didn't apply to our event so we didn't use them. Scanable tickets worked well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Eventeny?

Conditional forms are on the roadmap but not available when we used the product, which made vendor applications much more complicated to manage. The mapping feature is not very good--setup is buggy and no way for attendees to search for a vendor in the map to help you locate them. Lots of aspects in the software seemed oriented towards running more transactions through Eventeny, and they make a percentage off of these. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"I don't know how we did it before"
What do you like best about Eventeny?

I don't know how we planned our county fair before event. With less and less volunteers all the time, Eventeny fills that void. Managing camping, vendors, and sponsors all in one spot brings incredible value to our organization. The support is so helpful with a success agent. We appreciate their willingness to listen to our ideas and feedback and add them to the product's roadmap. In hearing from our vendors, they also appreciate the features. We use it daily, and couldn't live without it! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Eventeny?

We're excited for skip logic and an increased automation workflow to come. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Terrible software and business service"
What do you like best about Eventeny?

There isn't much I can think of. The site didn't crash? Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Eventeny?

For context: We sold tickets to an event with 2,500 attendees.

Issues we ran into:

- No support for directed ticket codes, we have to hack around this and the solutions aren't pretty

- You can't edit email or name of team members after inviting them

- The ticket sale checkout and analytics have a bug where sales tax is not updated for discount codes. Basically it looks like they will charge full sales tax on free or half price tickets. Confusing and makes people suspicious and lose trust.

- Maps only allow rectangle stalls and regions, no polygons. Our placement has used free form regions in the past (using GoogleMaps)

- Can’t export maps to KML or import into Google Maps

- No way to get measurements for layout.

- You cannot create a ticket with zero quantity for sale (for gift tickets), it won’t let you save it

- Purchase ticket import requires first and last name, which is inconvenient for people concerned with privacy

- Purchased ticket import is limited to 100 tickets at a time

- Purchased tickets that are imported do not have any ability to force people to sign a waiver

- Support is TERRIBLE. Flippant and dismissive. When I asked about a feature the support staff told me I should "look into other software" and that they have "plenty of customers"

- Account self service is not possible. To get information about account management you have to email support and hope for a reply (see above). This includes VERY BASIC things like billing, subscription management, and account cancellation. Their approach is stuck in the last decade.

- Volunteer management is heavy and onerous on actual volunteers.

- Very high fees

In the end, we didn't really get anything from the software that we couldn't get from other ticket processors at 1/4th the cost. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Spencer Whiteman of Eventeny

Aaron,

Thank you for taking the time to share your insights with us. We appreciate your feedback, and we would like to address some of the concerns you've raised to ensure a clear understanding of our platform's capabilities.

Our support team is committed to finding optimal solutions for our customers, recognizing the significance of a seamless event experience. However, it's important to note that the customization you requested, specifically the bulk creation of private tickets with individualized links, is not a current feature on our platform. As we host over 9,000 events on Eventeny, we need to take into consideration the hundreds of other events that rely on our platform daily, and we cannot accommodate same day feature requests, out of respect for those events.

New features undergo a thorough process, including review, design, research, quality assurance, and testing, before implementation and immediate custom solutions are not feasible due to these rigorous procedures. In a case such as yours, where a client makes a same day feature request that will interfere with the operability of the platform, our customer success team is trained to provide effective workarounds, as was suggested with the utilization of our discount code feature to generate bulk discount codes.

Addressing additional concerns:

Ticket Purchase Information: Requiring first and last names for online ticket purchases is a standard industry practice aimed at preventing dispute rates. Rest assured, these names are not publicly displayed to address privacy concerns.

User Invitation and Editing: Invitations are sent via email when a user is added on Eventeny, and edits are restricted once an invitation has been sent. To make corrections, the recommended approach is to remove and re-add the user with the accurate email address.

Fees: Our fees stand at 3% for paid users, plus 2.9% + 30 cents for credit card and ACH processing fees. This is notably lower than many competitors, including Eventbrite, which charges 3.7% + $1.79 per ticket, excluding additional processing fees.

Support Response Time: Our support team strives for prompt responses, and our records indicate that you received initial assistance within two hours, with account information provided on the same day of contact.

Free Tickets and Sales Tax: We do not impose fees on free tickets, and sales tax is determined by the ticket editor, not by Eventeny.

"Makes event planners lives SO much easier"
What do you like best about Eventeny?

Eventeny is the perfect all in one software helping event planners everywhere with essentially all event problems. You can create vendor applications, manage submissions, assign vendor booths, create extremely detailed interactive site maps in no time at all, manage sponsors and volunteers, sell tickets and the list goes on. The main thing that drew me to Eventeny were the vendor application and site map features. Before, I was having to work with other city departments on building a site map and there was a lot of back and forth and missed details. Vendors would apply through an application site and I would have to invoice them seperately, which resulted in vendors taking awhile to pay. Now, I can create as many vendor applications as I need (including discount codes), ask specific questions, have vendors upload pictures and documents, and I press approve and their payment on file is charged automatically. It has saved me so much time! From there, I can create a site map and add vendor booths, icons, sections, and assign vendors to specific booths.

There are so many different options/customizations too. If you need payment up front, even prior to approval, you can do that. If you want vendors to pick their own booth spot when they apply, they can do that too. Eventeny truly has so many options to make your life so much easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Eventeny?

I would honestly say there aren't any downsides. They are a newer software and there are still ways they can add additional options and features, but they are constantly working on upgrades and things to improve. While you're using the software, if there is anything that needs immediate fixing or you have an idea that would be nice in the future, you reach out to your dedicated customer service representative. I've sent my CS representative a few ideas that she then adds to an ongoing product request list that they work through. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A wonderful product; we'll never go back!"
What do you like best about Eventeny?

The very first time I met with Eventeny to talk about their event management software, I genuinely cried. I had been working with another event management software (Event Essentials) for over a year and a half with next to no response from the developers or the person who was supposed to be my go-to for any questions. We paid thousands of dollars for a system that was over-promised and couldn't handle the basics of what we needed it to do. My entire team was tired, frustrated, and at our wits end trying to plan an 11,000 person event that was very quickly approaching.

Then we met with Nausheen, and it was like the event planner gods had heard all of our gripes and opened up the clouds to shine a light on Eventeny. Every problem that we were having, Nausheen was able to show us a place on Eventeny's platform that could handle the scenario better than we had ever dreamed of. Volunteer management? Solved. Controlled access to the parts of the program that we didn't want everyone to see? Solved. Vendor booth mapping? Solved. A sponsorship CRM that actually kept track of what we needed it to? Solved. Schedules that were easy to upload and change on the fly? Solved.

Every suggestion we have made has also been taken into consideration. They added more pronouns, and the ability to have a preferred name for our volunteers so they weren't forced to use dead names instead of chosen names. They really listen to their clients, and I've never had to wait more than 24 hours for a response to my questions. They've won my event's business forever, simply because of their customer experience and the amazing team behind it. I cannot recommend Eventeny enough. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Eventeny?

There isn't much I don't like about Eventeny. The software is definitely in its early stages and the startup environment is seen in the way that some of the features are released, with some things that are built as placeholders until their engineers can get something better into place. However, having a feature that does most of what you need it to do is much better than having no functionality that doesn't do what you need it to do, so I'm happy to wait while they work out the bugs, especially since they work with such a small team. "Acceptable, but Circuitous"
What do you like best about Eventeny?

I like just how many different management functions and ways of tracking things there are. Being able to manage hours, times, and the way it works all the way up to upper management, makes it very easy to ask for help and have issues handled promptly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Eventeny?

Managing volunteers - accepting someone requires two separate confirmations in different locations and it's just very unwieldy and overcomplicated.

- Accepting/rejecting volunteers shouldn't require the use of two or 3 separate windows, it ends up being misleading and people stop before actually finishing their duties. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
