**What do you like best about Equals?**

What I like most about Equals Money is the level of control and visibility it provides over company spending, without making anything feel complicated. Real-time transaction tracking and customizable spending limits make it much easier to monitor expenses across teams and prevent unnecessary overspending.

Another standout is how quickly you can issue both physical and virtual cards. The virtual cards have been especially helpful for managing online subscriptions and vendor payments more securely, and the spend controls make it easier to keep budgets organized by department or project.

I also appreciate how smoothly it integrates with accounting tools like Xero. Having transactions and receipts sync automatically saves a lot of time on manual reconciliation and helps reduce errors for finance teams.

One unexpected benefit is how much simpler employee expense management becomes when everyone has clear spending permissions and receipts are attached directly to transactions. It creates a cleaner audit trail and noticeably speeds up approvals and reporting. Overall, the platform feels user-friendly while still offering strong financial controls for growing teams.

One area where Equals Money could improve is the reporting and analytics experience. While the platform offers helpful visibility into transactions, building highly customized reports or pulling deeper spending insights can sometimes feel limited compared with more advanced finance platforms. More flexible filtering options and greater dashboard customization would make reporting even more valuable for finance teams.

Another challenge is that certain workflows—such as expense approvals or account setup changes—can occasionally take longer than expected, especially when multiple users or permissions are involved. A more streamlined admin experience, with clearer navigation and more intuitive permission management, would help reduce operational friction.

The mobile experience is generally functional, but at times uploading receipts or moving between expense-related features feels less smooth than on desktop. Improving mobile responsiveness and simplifying a few key user flows would make it more convenient for employees who need to manage expenses on the go.

It would also be helpful to have more proactive notifications or alerts for failed payments, expiring cards, or unusual spending activity, so teams can respond faster without having to constantly check the platform manually.

**What problems is Equals solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Equals Money, managing company expenses and business payments was quite fragmented. We relied on manual reimbursement processes, shared corporate cards, and spreadsheets to track spending, which often caused delays, missing receipts, and limited visibility into where money was being spent.

Equals Money helped centralize expense management, card spending, and payment tracking into a single platform. The ability to issue individual virtual and physical cards with predefined limits solved a major challenge around controlling team expenses while still giving employees flexibility to make necessary purchases.

One of the biggest improvements has been real-time visibility into transactions. Instead of waiting until the end of the month to review expenses, finance teams can now monitor spending instantly, which has helped reduce unnecessary costs and improved budget control. Receipt collection and expense reconciliation are also much faster because employees can upload receipts directly against transactions.

**What do you like best about Equals?**

I find the interface of Equals Money to be really good and great for navigating. It's super useful and easy to use, especially for sending payments across the world. The ability to split money into account balances and wallets is extremely valuable from a cash flow perspective. I also appreciate the easy flow and transparency of the platform, which helps understand the processes and charges involved, making it probably the easiest among all the banks in terms of understanding the flow and fees.

**What do you dislike about Equals?**

Probably the customer support team just because the process still relies on human interaction a lot. And on top of this, I'm not entirely sure if the team sits in different time zones, but I feel like whenever I submit a ticket, there is a considerable lag. It might be helpful to have more people who can respond within the time zone, or they could increase the capacity or educational awareness across the board.

**What problems is Equals solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Equals Money's interface great for sending payments globally. It's easy to navigate, and splitting money into account balances and wallets helps with cash flow.

I really like the fantastic FX, payments, and cards infrastructure provided by Equals Money for Chorus clients. I also appreciate the reliable tech that they offer. Another thing that stands out is how they combine cutting-edge technology with personal service, enabling us to provide exceptional service thanks to the tech they supply.

Finance reporting and basic queries sometimes take months to be resolved. People don't always reply when they say they will and there's a lack of responsibility; instead of providing a date to complete tasks, things just drop into an abyss. Also, the initial setup was not that easy, though we were the first.

Equals Money provides a fantastic infrastructure for FX, payments, and cards, combining cutting-edge tech with personal service, which helps us offer exceptional service.

I like how easy it is to manage and view card expenditure by employee. I can track down expenses by employee easily. I always know who spent what and know who to chase.

I find it very hard to reconcile the bank account by the statements they provide. Also, no integrations with accounting software. The lack of sync with QuickBooks made operations a bit difficult.

**What do you like best about Equals?**

Equals cards are easy to manage across my whole team.  The app and web interface is simple and intuitive and enables me to easily check spending and move balances between cards instantly.   Bank transfers into the main account are instant.  My staff have found the digital cards easy to setup and use.  We use digital cards only and these are easy to add to phone wallets.  Staff use their cards daily with no problems.  On the few occasions I have used customer support it has been quick and efficient.

**What do you dislike about Equals?**

We are Quickbooks based and look forward to bank feed integration in the future.  CSV downloads are easy to get and upload, but the date format (which includes a time stamp) does have to be manually changed which isn't ideal.

**What problems is Equals solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Staff no longer have to use their own funds and produce monthly produce personal expense reports.  Admin time is dramatically reduced, and staff don't have to wait til month end for reimbursement.

Setting up our account at Equals Money was really easy. Their customer support was responsive and got back to me quickly when I had some questions. There are plenty of useful features which help our charity to manage its money,

Overall we have found the platform easy to use and straightforward - I've not encounted any problems or dislikes yet.

**What problems is Equals solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our charity holds funds that we distribute for particular good causes. Sometimes these involve purchasing goods and services directly for people in need. Our existing financial process of receiving invoices and paying on credit terms did not suit this method of grantmaking, but neither did we want to issue debit cards which could risk uncontrolled spending. Instead, Equals Money helps us to provide pre-paid debit cards to relevant members of staff, ensuring that restricted funds are not overspent, while recording their purchases in an easy to use format.

As a cash hungry business Equals allows our buy and sell stores to easily access cash from their own high streets as opposed to having to travel to our specific main bank. This saves tens of hours over the course of a year and we use it a lot.

During peak times money transfer from our main business bank account can take up to 20 minues.

**What problems is Equals solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We consider ourselvs a 'specific use business' in that we use Equals for a purpose not many others may, and yet it still flawlessly solves out problems. We require cash top ups to our high street buy and sell stores frequently and Equals takes the stress out of going to the bank multiple times weekly. Staff can access cash from ATMs on their own high streets and our stores are ready to buy products again at a moments notice.

**What do you like best about Equals?**

As a charity we can't afford the cost of expense cards like Soldo, Expend and Pleo who charge a small fee per user every month. Equals gives us the main function of these cards: control over which staff members can access funds and how much. No monthly user fees, just a one-off fee per card! It provides a bank feed to Xero and limits can easily be set on line or using the app. The customer support is quick and friendly.

**What do you dislike about Equals?**

Equals does not sync to the Xero chart of accounts nor does it allow approval of expenses by a manager. You can by pass that by processing all of the payments directly in Xero from the bank feed : either by entering Bills, Spend Money Transactions or using Cash Coding.

**What problems is Equals solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Equals solves the problem of Contractors or volunteers having to spend their own money and then requesting reimbursement. We can simply give them a card and top it up when needed. Or deactivate it when it's not needed.

The Equals Money card is easy to use and allows us as a charity to efficiently manage our spending. The online portal is user friendly and we are able to access our information and statements in real time easily. We have also used the online chat function a few times which have promptly resolved our queries.

We have had no issues at all using our Equals Money card, with only a couple of refresh procedures required from that end to refresh the feed into Xero.

We are able to pre-load our card with available funds in an easily manageable way, which is of benefit to us as a charity which relies solely on funding.

**What do you like best about Equals?**

I recently moved across to EqualsMoney, and I couldn't be happier with the decision! The process of transferring money is smooth and straightforward,  and not at all complicated. I use the cards weekly and the ease, very simple to intergarate into my day to day. 

Compared to other services, EqualsMoney offered competitive rates and a much more personalsed experience. Was a no-brainer when I was shoping around, and its pleasing that the customer expereince so far has been excellent.

Overall, I highly recommend EqualsMoney to anyone looking for a reliable, fast, and secure money transfer service.

**What do you dislike about Equals?**

No physicals branches has not been a problem for me, at all!

**What problems is Equals solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Traditional banks and transfer services often charge high exchange rates and add hidden fees. Equals Money offers competitive exchange rates and transparent pricing, so I know exactly whatI 'm paying, saving significant costs on international transfers.

**What do you like best about Equals?**

We have found Equals Money to be a very useful and cost effective way for our employees to use a debit card to make business related purchases while maintaining full controll over spending limits, card access etc.  We changed over from a larger provider where the cost and level of customer service provided was simply not providing value for money for our charity, and have been very pleased with the change.  The sign up process was easy and the follow up from Equals Money ensured that we were on the right service.  Easy integration with out Xero bookkeeping service and the ability for cardholders to scan electronic receipts has been very useful.  We have had no problems regularly using the cards.  As a small company we feel very valued by Equals Money and the customer back up is very good.

**What do you dislike about Equals?**

More features are being regularly added to Equals Money and I think that the product will improve over time.  A couple of things that we would like are automatic transfer of receipts into Xero (being worked on I believe) and perhaps a low balance alert would be useful (as it is a prepay card)

Equals Money allows us to provide the right level of spending authority to company employees.  Previous providers were not cost effective for us and equals money has allowed us to eliminate the use of petty cash and expense claim back from employees, saving time and increasingour level of financial oversight

**What do you like best about Equals?**

Equals Money enables me to manage employee payment cards with ease from my laptop or mobile device. Adding funds to physical cards on the fly is seamless and adds convenience that is highly useful to employees in the field. The app allows me to check individual purchases on cards, block or temporarily suspend cards, set preferences on where cards can be used.
Setting up the app was easy and integrating into our organisation was made simple via good communication.
Customer service is friendly, prompt and effective.
We use Equals Money every day to manage employees expenses.
Equals Money was a fantastic upgrade for us which outshone the competition in most areas.

**What do you dislike about Equals?**

Finding something I dont like about Equals Money is hard as it does everything we need flawlessly. My only complaint is that it doesn't keep you signed in the app even though there is an option to do so.

**What problems is Equals solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cuts down on paperwork and avoids confusion that can arise from many employees making expense payments. Avoids the issue of employees losing receipts leading to payment non verification as all transactions are recorded.

**What do you like best about Equals?**

The client portal is so easy to use and navigate, it is so simple to transfer funds, monitor transactions, and make any limits as required by the organisation. The feedback from workers has been nothing but positive. These cards have taken the stress away from staff, and are allowing them to achieve more in their sessions as they aren't as restricted with funds.

**What do you dislike about Equals?**

As an organisation, it has been challenging to incorporate our Equals Money account into our accounting records. This is simply a learning curve, and we foresee this to improve in coming months.

**What problems is Equals solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Some of our workers with high caseloads were struggling to finance their sessions with their own funds. Some workers were spending £500+ on activity expenses per month. As an organisation, we recognised that this was not sustainable for our staff. These cards have eliminated that stress off our workers, and allows them to attend various activities to engage with their clients.

There is not a running total balance on the transaction page. This makes it less easy to reconcile.

**What do you like best about Equals?**

The service works really well, until you have an issue.
Pre-loading the cards, managing the balances, viewing transations are all super smooth and I like the user interface. It is all very seamless and easy to use and did exactly what we needed it to. Allows us to manage company money with many cardholders. Love the receipt upload and notes function. As treasurer, it makes my life really simple.

**What do you dislike about Equals?**

It is slick and flawless until it all there is an issue and then it is dire. We made a transfer into the account and it didn't show up. Many many calls to both the sending bank (Lloyds) and Equals were made, and Equals were insistant to the point of being beligerant that Lloyds, not them, were at fault and had the respsonsibilty of 'finding the money'. Lloyds had traced it and given all the reference numbers needed and were incredulous at what had happened. Over a month of these phone calls ensued, with Lloyds saying one thing and Equals saying 'no, they're wrong, that's not how the banking system works', but refusing to talk to the other party. I had to threaten to take Equals to court for the money, before they suddenly 'found' it and said it had been transferred during a period of downtime and so had got lost. 
I did not realise they are not a bank in their own right. They are simply a fancy user interface, connecting to their own business bank in the background (Barclays). This means they take absolutely no accountability when something like this happens. They simply say, we are chasing with the bank - but you are not able to talk to the bank. Would be far better to just have a bank account with Barclays themselves, as Equals were just an extra obstacle in the way of resolving the problem.
To add salt to the wound, a week after that was resolved, a transaction was allowed to go through on a card that was paused somehow - so I wouldn't trust that part of the system either.
I am sad to leave because it has been slick and easy when it has worked, but I have lost all faith in them.

The Equals Money dashboard is simple to use and gives me all the information I need.
The app makes everything easier for me as well as if I get requests to top up money whilst I am not at my computer I can do this away from home.
I have found the support to be good when I have issues. They are responsive and have got my issues sorted.

We have recently moved onto Equals Money and I've found a few little annoyances in the dashboard. They are not anything too bad and I expect they will get ironed out with future releases.  Even with these annoyances, the dashboard is still a lot better than the old version.

**What problems is Equals solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are a small voluntary organisation. Before we had Equals Money we either had to send cash advances to our volunteers to purchase what they needed to, and they had to keep the records of purchases and receipts. It was extra admin for them above their usual volunteering work. We had some volunteers who just submitted expenses claims, so it was work for me (another volunteer) dealing with the paperwork and paying their claims.
SInce we got Equals it has revolutionised the way we work. We have no need to send them cash - we have become completely cashless. They simply use their cards and the only thing they need to do is upload their receipts, so it is much less work for them. They can use their cards to buy things online whereas previously they would have to use their own and claim it back. I can see "real time" what is being bought and through the dashboard I can see how much is left on their balances and top them up when needed. I have much less paperwork as I am not receiving expenses forms and receipts. As a volunteer treasurer it has made my life much easier admin wise.

The prepaid cards work just like a normal bank card and the platform allows visibility across the whole account as well as at an individual/card level. We find the ability to attach receipts/add detail on each transaction extremely useful. The account is easy to top-up and amend/update monthly spend/transaction levels.

The platform logs you out extremely quickly so you have to keep logging in if you're checking a lot of payments.

Equals was the perfect solution for our non-profit. We had a single bank account which needed multiple signatories to make transactions, plus we had many people who needed access to cards. Expenses took a very long time to process, so our team often went as long as possible without making the purchases they needed. So to be able to load up the account periodically and to give each team member their own card has made life so much easier! No more expneses to process, and the integration into Xero has made life much easier on the finance team. We use this all the time and couldnt work without it now.

It was all so easy to set up, and anything we had an issue with was dealt with brilliantly by the customer support team.

The positives include that team members no longer need to carry cash when traveling overseas. The app is easy to understand, and uploading receipts is extremely straightforward.  Downloading statements, whether for individual team members or for the team as a whole, was very simple.  Customer support is exemplary and I made contact with them often.

**What do you dislike about Equals?**

As an Administrator, I needed to determine the total funds added to Equals. I found this to be a complex task, especially when dealing with multiple currencies over a four-month period. While I consistently checked with Equals regarding the countries the team was traveling to and whether the card could be used there, the teams occasionally faced challenges. They sometimes had trouble withdrawing cash or found that the card was not accepted.
One drawback of downloading statements is that I had to create an additional column to calculate totals, as Equals deducts money from the overall amount.
I found it difficult to create new folders for each country and its currencies, so I abandoned that idea and opted to use just one folder which was unsatisfactory

The teams no longer need to carry cash, whether in GBP or foreign currency, which reduces the risk of theft or loss. They find it very easy to upload receipts, allowing them to focus on their work without worrying about expenses.

Our business uses Equals Money debit cards for every day small expenditure for the office. It successfully replaced dealing with physical cash via Petty Cash Register. It was easy to connect the bank feed to our accoutning system Xero for month end reconciliation.Works fine.

The only downside I can see is that not always all transactions are feeded to Xero and I need to manually check in Equals portal online for the missing transactions to clear the diffrence at the and of the month.

I love that you can no transfer money freely to and from the accounts balance. This wasn't an option before.

I love that you now have virtual cards so people no longer need to rely on physical ones and can start spending as soon as their accounts are set up.

The system for currency conversion has much improved. Being able to track exactly what the funds were for instead of trying to figure out chargeback refunds is so much easier.

Customer Support has always been so easy and quick to get hold of. Generally I have nothing but good things to say about their service and help in the past.

**What do you dislike about Equals?**

Emails of top ups no longer include an option for a reference number. This makes them very difficult to allocate when filing.

It's a real pain that there's now no filtering on card balances so you no longer have to see empty cards or being able to arrange them by alphabetical order. Makes them very difficult to navigate.

The system for adding annotations onto transactions by clicking onto every one individually instead of being able to just type in a text box like you could on the old system is very bad. This adds a lot of time onto a task that didn't take anyway near as long.

You can't allow users to only see certain cards. Unfortunately it's very much an all or nothing thing which has made extra work as I now need to give HOD's everyones balances manually instead of them being able to log in and see just their departments card balances. Unfortunately we cannot allow these people access to all cards other than their own departments as that results in a huge financial data breach.

It keeps a detailed log of all small petty cash that my production issues. Helps reconcile accounts and issue out funds quickly and effectively.

Good customer service and response time. Helpful and friendly. Were very quick in responding to queries but was a bit disappointed a some misinformation I received regarding Xero integration.

Appreciate that each balance has its own seperate account details. Also that able to use it as a digital card

I haven't yet properly started using it so I can't relly offer a proper judgement. It is easy to use, didn't know about app verification, had to reach out to find out what it was. Also, as mentioned, Xero integration would be much better if each balance can be linked to a different Xero as we have a number of different companies within one group using Equals. Also, it would be nice if we could delete balances ourselvs without having to ask Equals to do it for us. Another feature which would be nice would be if the account name of each balance reflected the balance name as opposed to the title balance, but it is helpful that each balance has its own seperate account details.

Equals Money provides a good deal for charities - we can give each person who needs one their own card and control the budget at their disposal without needing to pay out monthly charges for this facility. Also we can link Equals Money to Xero to automatically upload the transactions into our accounts system.

The reporting is a bit clunky with all the transfers between wallets appearing as transactions both in reports and in Xero. Also users tell me they can't go back and add receipts later if they didn't save them at the start.

In the vast majority of cases Equals Money comes out tops by offering the best rates on the day. There's always the option of a bit of negotiation, and I've always been treated well when making phone contacts. The service is upfront and professional, always confirmng rates and transfers by email as soon as they are actioned.
