## eclypse Reviews
  ### 1. performant tms solution with glossary

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Missy B. | mechanical engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 08, 2025

**What do you like best about eclypse?**

Some of the most helpful features are glossary, task management, ability to order translations quickly and how it works with github. customer support team is quite helpful and answers our questions promptly. they even walked me through with the github integration! upgrading was easy too - when our needs changed over time, i was able to upgrade to a different plan within 2 minutes - no need to talk to anybody. I highly recommend eclypse for a tms software for any company.

**What do you dislike about eclypse?**

eclypse comes only on the mac computers. the customer service says that it is also coming to the web, some of our other teams want to use it but they are waiting for the web. also all the projects in the same organization share the glossary. i wish there was a way to only see the glossary for my own project.

**What problems is eclypse solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used to manually get the translations from google. and that took a long time because i had to do it sentence by sentence. now i can download all translations for any of the languages all at once. that is a big time saver. i also use the built in quality control features. i can immediately spot the problems in my translations. when i spot those problems i can talk to our translators and tell them what's wrong right within eclypse. i think this also helps them because they have all the information they need to correct the problems. this reduced translation errors over time.

  ### 2. performance oriented tms solution

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mining & Metals | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2024

**What do you like best about eclypse?**

gitlab integration, ability to collaborate with our own translators and performance. my company has lots of data and eclypse works fast - we don't have to wait for all the data to download. eclypse team is quite responsive. when we ask for an enhancement or a question with the product, they resolve our issue generally within one day.

**What do you dislike about eclypse?**

mac app only. it would be nice if we could use it on my chrome.

**What problems is eclypse solving and how is that benefiting you?**

eclypse allows us to introduce our solution in multiple markets. We have our own translators so we didn't use eclypse's translators so I cannot comment on that. We have lots of translation data. The other tms solutions we used were slower to load. Eclypse is definitely more performant in this regard. Also we can save the export rules. This makes it easier to integrate with eclypse.

  ### 3. Eclypse is a tool for framework

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zandrex Charmi K. | Application System Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 30, 2024

**What do you like best about eclypse?**

Its a platform in an integrated systems and the best that i do like about it is that its available in both linux and windows os

**What do you dislike about eclypse?**

I think it is uses high volume of memory that could impact a system slowdown

**What problems is eclypse solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It can be used for developing java applications and it is very useful to an enterprise applications

  ### 4. I don't like it because there are fewer tutorials online that are using this IDE.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Herth C. | Steam Market Traider & Seller, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 08, 2024

**What do you like best about eclypse?**

It's completely free open source and classy.

**What do you dislike about eclypse?**

It's not like Visual Studio Code; fewer users use it for online tutorials. The server side had to be installed separately, for example, Wamp or Xamp. This is a heavy IDE; I am surprised it doesn't have its own.

**What problems is eclypse solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I cant name anything.. I only tried it a couple of times in school projects and assignments

  ### 5. Best localization workflow we've ever used

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Logistics and Supply Chain | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 17, 2023

**What do you like best about eclypse?**

I like the fact that setting up team members is intiutive and convenient. We migrated all of our data without a glitch. Ability to order translations directly within the app is saves significant time. Being in a special industry, we have a lot of domain-specific jargon, eclypse's built-in glossary worked seamlessly.

**What do you dislike about eclypse?**

Eclypse provides google translation integration, however translations are sometimes not very accurate. Also the character limiting feature still allows you to exceed the character limit.

**What problems is eclypse solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were using excel sheets to manage and store all of our translations in an ad-hoc manner. It led to chaos and confusion as well as many translation mistakes. Eclypse has a purpose built UI that reduces the chances of making translation mistakes. Eclypse is also opinionated on how to manage translations which helps us set up our own process.

  ### 6. Eclipse is good for sodtwa development

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 12, 2024

**What do you like best about eclypse?**

Java focused.
Customisable
Open focused
Version control

**What do you dislike about eclypse?**

Performance
Steep learning curve
Outdated UI

**What problems is eclypse solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Soft development

  ### 7. easy to order translations within the application

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2023

**What do you like best about eclypse?**

I can order translations from eclypse with a few clicks for my project. Eclypse makes it easy to find a translator when you don't know any.

**What do you dislike about eclypse?**

I need to check when the translations are done. I wish eclypse would send me a push notification.

**What problems is eclypse solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are a small company and it is hard to find translators in different countries. When we use eclypse we don't have to worry about this problem anymore. Because Eclypse connects us with the translators, we can directly submit the job to them.

  ### 8. Native app and simple to use

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Beran C. | Developer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2022

**What do you like best about eclypse?**

Their offerings and plans are generous. I can work with my team without a problem and we didn’t see a need to sign up to higher plans.

**What do you dislike about eclypse?**

It would be nice to integrate the glossary with the translators too. Right now, we are manually translating the keys in the glossary. It is not a big deal since we only have 20 or so things in there but that would be one less thing to do for us.

**What problems is eclypse solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I like that eclypse is a real app on my laptop. It works fast and it is performant. I used localazy in the past and that was good too… but having a native app makes a huge difference. I can save my search queries and find the keys that I am always looking for. Especially milestones come in handy because we are always struggling to find the right keys that are up for translation. Eclypse really simplifies it.

  ### 9. responsive customer service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Niyazi Cem D. | it consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2022

**What do you like best about eclypse?**

We are in the free tier; however, I reached out to the customer service and told them that we found a problem with the app. They fixed the problem in 3 days and then notified us once the fix was available. Happy to deal with real people who put customers first.

**What do you dislike about eclypse?**

We primarily use machine translations for our text. And for that eclypse works fine. But at some point, we may want to send our text to actual translators. They told us that they are working on it but it is not available as of this writing.

**What problems is eclypse solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are a team of 5 developers. We are actively working on adding new features – which means new content all the time. We used google sheets before and that was chaos. Eclypse provides a central place for our content and handles plurals, placeholders and glossary out-of-the-box.

  ### 10. Clean UI

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2022

**What do you like best about eclypse?**

Beautiful and clean UI which makes it easy to get my job done.. also search is fast.

**What do you dislike about eclypse?**

Eclypse works fine for our purposes, I don’t think there is anything that we don’t like.

**What problems is eclypse solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to invite our translators to eclypse so being able to work with them in an app instead of google sheets is a big upgrade. We couldn’t properly display plurals in google sheets – eclypse already has a built-in mechanism for it. It has access controls so we don’t worry about people accidentally deleting translations which also happened multiple times before.
One of our translators is using the iPad app. She told us that she find that easy and convenient.
