I like that the patients can see a picture of my actual waiting room when they are in the virtual waiting room. They offer some links to help them increase good connectivity. **What do you dislike about Doxy.me?** I do wish they had a way to record the sessions, as this is helpful for patients to review as part of their therapy. Sometimes I have connectivity problems, and it is unclear if this is the fault of the site or some other glitch. I wish they had more live help like a chat box available during the weekday. **What problems is Doxy.me solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have been able to continue my therapy practice during the pandemic using this site. It is nice that it does not require patients to upload anything, they can just log on and use the same link each time. The cost is reasonable, which is helpful. ### 2. And in minutes we are able to communicate with each other. There is nothing to download and it is seamless in use. I like that you are able to share your link directly to your waiting room and that the client is able to just enter their name and log right in. It works great on computers and cell phones. **What do you dislike about Doxy.me?** I have had connection issues at times where it will disconnect and not reconnect. My clients have had audio issues on their end and difficulty in using their headphones when using doxy on their phones. I also wish there was an app that could be used on phones in addition to accessing through the internet. Also, I wish that you could screenshare in the unpaid version. Additionally in the paid version I wish there was two way remote access to screenshare and interact simultaneously in the screenshare; ie having remote access. **Recommendations to others considering Doxy.me:** I would recommend the paid version to have access to additional features if those are needed. It also does not offer the screen share option. At times, depending on client internet connection, connection can be poor and it may be necessary to re-start the call. Also, if a client is using doxy.me on their phone and they get a phone call, the sound can be interrupted and often, there is a need to disconnect and reconnect in order to get the sound working again. **Recommendations to others considering Doxy.me:** This is a great site to start with and explore a free service before deciding to purchase a service to assist with telehealth. It is very easy to use and clients do not have to download an app or create any login. You can simply send them your link and get started. **What problems is Doxy.me solving and how is that benefiting you?** One great benefit is that there is a basic, free version. It has been easy to connect with clients on doxy.me and they have found it easy to use. It does require clients to have good internet connection and can be difficult when they do not. When a client is using doxy.me on their phone and they receive a call, it can disrupt the connection and require them to re-start the telehealth call. ### 8. It reports being HiPPA compliant and is TOTALLY FREE to get started with - this was probably my favorite feature. **What do you dislike about Doxy.me?** I was not a fan of the picture quality and the spotty service. It seemed like the video and sound were always cutting out - which lead to significant issues for my psychotherapy clients. It is kinda hard to make yourself vulnerable with a weak connection. **Recommendations to others considering Doxy.me:** This is a great app for ease of use - no need to download anything or go through security questions, etc. It can be accessed from any mobile device and there is no wait time before working - quick and easy. I work in healthcare, and am able to have a BAA. The interface is simple and user friendly. I like that my clients do not have to download any software, it is all cloud based. They just log in through the link I sent them and they are taken to my waiting room. It's great that you can also look in through your phone web browser also. I have never had any connection issues on either my end or my clients end. **What do you dislike about Doxy.me?** There are not many downsides. I use the free version, so there are less features. However there is a paid version, that allows you to do a lot of things. I wish there was an actual app for the phone. I currently work in a health care facility where our team of orthopedic physicians and surgeons are located 1.5 hours away and this was our solution to decreasing drive time and increasing access to consults with physicians. The ability to share images, download files, and screen capture images on the screen are extremely beneficial. It's very easy to use and is compatible on phones as well through a phone app which is useful for the physicians. **What do you dislike about Doxy.me?** There is nothing that I disliked about this application as it was extremely beneficial for my practice and I never had any issues with connection, volume, screen quality, or ease of use. **Recommendations to others considering Doxy.me:** Buy-in from other health care providers may be difficult but if you can highlight the other features it offers and focus on the increase in patient care and collaborative practice then they should be more willing to use it! **What problems is Doxy.me solving and how is that benefiting you?** Access to health care and its ability to be an effective means of communicating with other health care providers involved in patients care. It's a great way to communicate with others through a secure system and not drive far to have these conversations.
