The only difference between plans is the platform fee per donation — all features and functionality remain the same across every tier. "Affordable, Feature-Rich Donation Platform Perfect for Nonprofits"

What do you like best about Donately?

We were looking for a donation platform for our small nonprofit that would be affordable but have more than the basic features. Donately has fit the bill for ten years. We use it for our regular donation site as well as special campaigns with customizable forms. Donately makes it easy to help donors with their payment information or other details, and it is easy to track recurring donations and failed payments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Donately?

We sync with Klaviyo for email thank you flows to new and returning donors - sometimes this mysteriously glitches, so we have to keep an eye on it, but that seems to be on the Klaviyo end. What do you like best about Donately?

What I like most is how practical and approachable it is. It’s easy to use, doesn’t require a lot of onboarding, and has grown with our organization without pushing us into higher costs too quickly. The fee structure is also a huge plus. We’re able to keep more of each donation going directly toward our mission, which really matters from a donor trust and stewardship perspective. As we’ve grown, there are a few areas where more advanced reporting or customization would be helpful. It’s not a major issue and hasn’t stopped us from using the platform effectively, but it’s something you start to notice once your fundraising and donor management become more complex. Donately solves the problem of needing a fundraising and donor management system that is both effective and realistic for a small nonprofit. It gives us a clear, organized way to manage donations, campaigns, and donor information without overwhelming our team or eating into funds through high fees.

The benefit for us is that fundraising feels more manageable and sustainable. We spend less time wrestling with software and worrying about costs, and more time focusing on donor relationships and our mission.
