  ### 3. Dice - ATS

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mona K. | Executive HR - Technical Recruiter, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Dice?**

The interface is relatively simple to use and manage. The programmes are considerably more cost-effective and accessible. The database is adequate for searching for positions and qualified candidates in a particular field. It has a strong skill base of both new and seasoned candidates.

**What do you dislike about Dice?**

They promised to be the best platform for tech hires, but for very general, completely remote software engineering positions with above-market pay, we received virtually no applications in the course of four months. At the same moment, we received hundreds from our affiliated platforms.

**What problems is Dice solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Every day, all of our recruiters use this platform to meet both internal and external requirements. It has almost all types of profiles, enabling us to fill all available positions within a certain amount of time. Overall, a great sourcing and hiring utility with excellent automation tools.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sam K. | Human Resources Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 08, 2023

**What do you like best about Dice?**

They play with you emotions, will let you know that we will get you the job definately with in 3 to 6 months but they are playing around - another way of stealing money from poor candidates

**What do you dislike about Dice?**

Fake, not clear from begining, dont waste your money, first they will take $100, then to they will say to put your step in the foot they need to create ID, for that they will charge $175, they know in their heart they are betraying people, i have a doubt that the companies they are dealing with they are also involved.

**What problems is Dice solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have spent enough money from my pocket but so far they are just showing you the dreams - its a scam, please dont fall into it - its better to apply the companies by your self instead giving them money

The database is good and updated with lots of skillsets and job profiles.

A good learning curve can make the best out of its features, especially for beginners. There are some created candidates as well who have fake contact information or have multiple accounts which are just time-wasting and wastes the resume quota.

**Reviewed by:** Faiz R. | Assistant Manager, Staffing and Recruiting, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2022

**What do you like best about Dice?**

Dice is one of the oldest and most powerful tool when it comes to US recruitment. It has a large number of applicant profiles which helps the Recruiter to source, call and recruit.

**What do you dislike about Dice?**

Somehow its lagging behind with the introduction of competitors in the market. Sometimes the information listed is not useful due to which it loses it reputation. Profiles uploaded on the website are not updated regularly!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Suchismita A. | Talent Acquisition Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 10, 2022

**What do you like best about Dice?**

The portal is pretty easy to use and operate. The plans are much more economical and affordable. The database is good enough to search for jobs and employees within a specific area with skills. It has a good talent pool of freshers and experienced candidates. Also, the Intelli search feature is outstanding and works amazingly with database searching filters.

**What do you dislike about Dice?**

There are lots of duplicate resumes of the same person and do not have genuine contact details for the same. Also, the views they provide in every subscription plan are limited and must be increased.

**What problems is Dice solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dice is helping me in recruitment for my organization as we are managing the recruitment for our country as well as for other countries too. Here, searching for a talent pool s really easy and comfortable as compared to other job boards. Overall, a good tool with good features and good pricing plans.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Dice?**

Nothing - in 4 months we didn't get a single applicant for 6 figure remote full stack dev jobs.

**What do you dislike about Dice?**

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2022

**What do you like best about Dice?**

The filters and sorting options are helpful as they can make the arrangement of the searched candidates in a well-mannered way. Also, it shows the candidate's skillsets over their profile to save the recruiters time. Apart from that, the UI and dashboard are well maintained and have lots of amazing featrues.

**What do you dislike about Dice?**

Many fake profiles in the database lead recruiters and HRs to some third-party consultancies. Also, many resumes do not have the contact details of the candidates making it difficult for the recruiters to connect

**What problems is Dice solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This software has helped my organization for last so many years and it never let us down. We have fulfilled lots of vacancies in technical and non-technical profiles in internal and external recruitment.

**Reviewed Date:** August 18, 2022

**What do you like best about Dice?**

  ### 27. A good recruiting and sourcing tool but database is not that much effective

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pia S. | Technical Recruiter, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Dice?**

It is a good platform if we are looking candaites for some bigger and more popular profiles. It gives good results when we search using the skillset and some basic experienced-based search for the candidates into the database. It can be your good friend if you are into IT recruitment. it also helps in fetching the profiles from social media networks like LinkedIn. The cost is also good and under the budget.

**What do you dislike about Dice?**

I am not happy with the mobile version of this platform as it gives the feel of such a creepy and very outdated application. the UI needs to get improved and attractive. Also, the database does not have resumes for some rare profiles and it is not suitable for non-IT recruitment.

**What problems is Dice solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Although, I am using Monster, LinkedIn, Indeed for hiring purposes. But, especially for the IT profiles, my first choice is CareerBuilder. It has some good profiles and candidates for those prifles. It works well and I am satisfied with the [performance and their technical support team which is quite helpful. Overall, I am having a good time using this platform.

  ### 28. Good Job Portal for IT Requirements.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Venkatesh G. | Talent Acquisition Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2021

**What do you like best about Dice?**

A good number of profiles for particular skill sets. Can find candidates for even niche skill requirements.

**What do you dislike about Dice?**

The cost is high. Intelli search results are not relevant to the search. Very less profiles for non-IT Requirements. There is no power search like Monster. We have to know to use boolean strings for sourcing profiles. Intergrating Dice with Crelate is not good. The UI is very Difficult if we intergrate it in any ATS, plus using DIce Seperately shows new profiles but intergaring to ATS shows old resumes only, it takes 2-3 days to update and show new profile if we interegrate in ATS. Dice needs to improve its posting option, can't able to post for multilocation.

**Recommendations to others considering Dice:**

Dice is a good Sourcing portal for your IT Requirements.

**What problems is Dice solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are sourcing candidates for our Direct Client Requirements. We can contact candidates directly through email or phone and place them for our requirements. We have placed some candidates by sourcing through Dice.

Dice has always been best when it comes to providing their technical services, but if there is a point I dislike is, their UI. It looks outdated. It would be more beautiful if they could update their UI

**What problems is Dice solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DICE does an excellent job of matching essential skills with candidate profiles
In every location, we get several resumes, so then we can have a chance to filter more candidates in terms of technical skills

Dice gives Genuine profiles; mostly, we can get the W2 candidates. The dice user interface is good. It shows all the skills below the candidate profile. Easy to filter the client requirements.

**What do you dislike about Dice?**

Price is a little high compared to other jobs boards. Intellisearch doesn't give perfect matching profiles. Fewer profiles on Non - IT Requirements. It's working perfectly and providing its services efficiently.

**What problems is Dice solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can integrate dice into the Application Tracking System (ATS). It has an option that we can text directly to candidates, and it also shows whether the candidate is active or not. It has a vast database where we can get perfect matching profiles.

**What do you like best about Dice?**

The best thing I like about this product is let you fulfill all your recruiting needs with quick turnaround time.

**What do you dislike about Dice?**

The thing I dislike about this product, while working as a professional Recruiter, what you need to have is right job board. This product has filters to find candidates, these filters do lack sometimes or you can say it has limitations on finding candidates. There should be lot more other filters included like the other job boards such Monster, Indeed, etc.

**Recommendations to others considering Dice:**

I would definitely recommend this product as it fulfill all your recruiting needs easily.

**What problems is Dice solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I daily work on this job board and fill most of the positions with the help of this job board. I can easily find right candidates. The benefits are many, first would be it saves time, it has good set of resumes, a huge database and it is very user friendly and convenient.

**What do you like best about Dice?**

Very impactful and straightforward UI. You can easily search for jobs based on the skills and resume you set up in your profile. Also, you can directly apply via the apply option or through the external links of the employer. Dice is fantastic.

**What do you dislike about Dice?**

Its notifications do not show whether you got selected for the applied role or not. It does not give the pre-message so that you can understand without getting inside the app.

**What problems is Dice solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mainly, I am using it to apply for technical profiles. I am a developer and looking for some great and good opportunities to work with big employers. ### 37. A must-have for IT recruiting

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Staffing and Recruiting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Dice?**

That Dice is 100% focused on IT candidates and IT jobs. We find that Dice is the best for high-level technical roles; Architects, Engineers, Leads, etc. We also find value in the salary reports they push out annually.

**What do you dislike about Dice?**

I wish it was more widely used & known by candidates in the IT industry. Though the search results bring back excellent candidates, we wish there were more of them.

**What problems is Dice solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dice helps us find highly technical candidates for our open job requirements. When our recruiters work on highly technical job requirements, Dice is their go-to place to start their search. The more specialized and higher-level the role is, the better Dice is. We find the other competing, well-known job boards do not provide the caliber of candidates Dice does for those level roles.

The drawbacks of Dice is less filters. The Intelli search option is not that accurate

**What problems is Dice solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Recruiting, Job Solutions, reading Jds etc

  ### 39. Would NOT Recommend

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** kdempsey@gowestit.com D. | People Operations Coordinator

**Reviewed Date:** November 22, 2021

**What do you like best about Dice?**

It states that it is strictly a technology job platform and supposedly has a good reputation for candidates.

**What do you dislike about Dice?**

The price to post is VERY high compared to other platforms and I received NO candidates. I had 2 jobs posted on Dice for a month, and received no applicants.

**What problems is Dice solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They refuse to solve any problems with me, stating they cannot control who applies. They also gave me false reporting information stating how many views my jobs had.

  ### 41. Job board for IT roles

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Staffing and Recruiting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2019

**What do you like best about Dice?**

When it comes to technical requirements like Java or dot net developer dice is my first choice. Various Filter options like work permit / location / experience refines the search and save times. I usually use dice working on Candidate search but its IntelliSearch option also helps find relevant candidates

**What do you dislike about Dice?**

The only thing that I dislike about dice is there are lot of fake resume on the board

**Recommendations to others considering Dice:**

Dice should only register the candidates who are registering themselves using phone number and should verify the phone nuumber using OTP that will decrease fake candidates

**What problems is Dice solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have been using Dice for long time and I have closed n numbers of client requirements. It is best suited for technical requirements like Software Engineer/ Architect.

  ### 42. Useless company

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2021

**What do you like best about Dice?**

Nothing. This company has no use for the consumer.

**What do you dislike about Dice?**

I have received the same email recommending the same 4 jobs since 2/20/21. I have tried 5 separate times to unsubscribe from this awful so-called company, and contacted them 3 times via email to stop sending stupid job posts

**Recommendations to others considering Dice:**

Dont do it

**What problems is Dice solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Zero

  ### 43. Outdated recruiting platform

  ### 45. Love this Job Board, its easy, convenient and amazing!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Krushant S. | Sr. Recruitment Executive, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2020

**What do you like best about Dice?**

Dice has quality resumes even though resumes available are less for every position for anyone looking into. Nevertheless, it is is one of the best job board with positions which are tough to fill. There are still lot of positions, which are tough to source but Dice makes it easy. I am using Dice since 2012 and ever since it has made many changes and even improved. Fast, more convenient and easy to use. The filters are amazing in this job portal. Also, one will find a large no of similar candidates, that one may not even fetch with putting various boolean strings, these similar candidates are exactly the same which matches your requirement, however you will not find in candidates that got listed through your search strings.

**What do you dislike about Dice?**

The drawback for this job board most of the resumes are outdated, which means people are not interested in updating their resume on this job board, which in turn leads to reaching out to unwanted candidates.

**Recommendations to others considering Dice:**

I would highly recommend this job board to every professionals, it is worth investing.

**What problems is Dice solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dice helps in finding candidates for tough positions. Although it has less candidates compare to other job boards, quality of resumes is always there. I am able to make lot of hires using Dice as my regular job board. You get professionals right from technical with core IT skills to even most rare Non-IT skills.

  ### 46. DICE is good, but not great.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2020

**What do you like best about Dice?**

It has a pretty good inventory of IT professionals in its database and it still has some loyalty by IT job seekers.

**What do you dislike about Dice?**

I think Indeed has more visibility and engagement than DICE, by job seekers nowadays. Indeed seems to be a cheaper, better value if you only post periodically. The new job posting interface isn't as stable and we technically lost functionality.

**Recommendations to others considering Dice:**

It is worth trying out if you are in the IT Services space, but to get your full value you need to post often given the other options like Indeed or LinkedIn

**What problems is Dice solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Finding candidates for our IT Services proposals. We do get some good candidates when we post.

  ### 47. Easy sourcing for proper candidates

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Melki D. | Sr.Talent Acquisition Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2019

**What do you like best about Dice?**

We use Dice for the recruitment and staffing process. I have been using Dice the last 1 year. It has been very helpful and provides a very easy Boolean search for searching the right candidates. It provides very easy sorting of the right candidates.

Sourcing of proper candidates using various filters like visa status, years of experience, willingness to relocate, employment type, etc.

Zip search in Dice provides sourcing for local candidates

Dice Posting is another feature that is very helpful in sourcing proper candidates.

**What do you dislike about Dice?**

Many of the candidates don't provide their contact details which becomes very difficult in connecting with them. Hence, adding contact numbers should be a mandate for the candidates when they upload their resume.

The newer version of Dice from June 2019 has many errors such as the skills are not highlighted.

**Recommendations to others considering Dice:**

Dice is very useful for targeting candidates with niche skills and is also useful for targeting all levels of profile i.e mid, senior, Junior, Architect, SME, etc.

Dice postings are always handy for targeting candidates.

Let's take an example if our organization employee wants to find a particular candidate with the skills of "big data" or "data engineer," then within a minute, our employees able to find the candidate with the filters available on DiceOpen Web portal.

**What problems is Dice solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dice is being used by my full department and it helps my full department for targeting perfect candidates based on requirements and it comes in very handy for targeting candidates using boolean search for all the relevant requirements. Dice helps all of my organization to check if this candidate is viewed by my team members or not.

  ### 48. Dice : Effective Recruitment Platform.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Staffing and Recruiting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2019

**What do you like best about Dice?**

Dice is very helpful as we can filter the candidates with those skills which we required. Portal and application has a number of filter list where I can contact the candidate from them. It helps to recognize the candidate skills, background status and work authorization status.

**What do you dislike about Dice?**

I'm a regular Dice user and till now portal has always gave me a positive result. honestly I don't think there is any feature to dislike or ignore.

**Recommendations to others considering Dice:**

No doubt, Dice is an absolutely amazing and outstanding recruitment platform. I would like to advice every user to use dice on daily basis. it will give you the effective and maximum result. kindly ignore the other job portals and use dice portal. It will always help you to reach to the best candidate. Basically, it will meet your expectations. So, requested for all the users to use Dice.

**What problems is Dice solving and how is that benefiting you?**

First of all being a Technical recruiter I'am solving the problem of candidates. Based on their work authorization and visa status I have helped so many candidates to find the job with the multinational companies. After placement of the candidate and based on the result and efforts I'am entitled to received additional extra margin.

  ### 49. The site is so buggy, it no longer allows to make the profile visible. What's the point of it then?

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Graphic Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 01, 2020

**What do you like best about Dice?**

They have jobs. And you can even apply for some of them.

**What do you dislike about Dice?**

The site has you do a ton of work to get recruiters to find you, but then it doesn't actually allow you to make your profile visible. Seems to me like a waste of time.

**Recommendations to others considering Dice:**

Fix your feature.

**What problems is Dice solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Trying to get a new job..

  ### 50. Finding candidates couldn't be easier

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Super B. | Senior Oracle Recruiter, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2019

**What do you like best about Dice?**

As an IT Recruiter 70% of the new candidates I find come from Dice. It allows me to post my open vacancies and I can make detailed candidate searches to pin point the right people who are in the right location, have the right skills and even have the correct visa status (if some of my positions have certain restrictions).

**What do you dislike about Dice?**

You only get given 5 posts to advertise at any one time meaning if you have 5 or more positions you can only advertise a max of 5 at a time. Would be great if they could double that.

**Recommendations to others considering Dice:**

If you need to contact candidates quickly and have access to their resume to send to a potential client then Dice is a great tool to have . Their contact info is on their profile for you to reach out to them immediately and if interested you can download their resume right away. Easy to use and you get a great response on job postings.

**What problems is Dice solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When I arrived to the US 3 years ago my network in the US wasn't the best and I needed to build it up quickly, since having Dice I have downloaded at least 600+ resumes specific to my industry and have placed a number of candidates through Dice. This has solved my networking issues by giving me the opportunity to find US candidates quickly with the skills I need.
