Simple things like adding printers or storage to a particular user are done automatically by the system. I no longer have to worry about scripting to make such things happen **What do you dislike about Desktop Authority Management Suite?** There are so many features that it is hard to make use of everything. It takes a while to learn it all and implement the things you need. I wish they have a video series or something to outline features in little bites. **Recommendations to others considering Desktop Authority Management Suite:** Check this suite against other systems you are using. It has so many features you might be able to replace several other services and save yourself some budget dollars. **What problems is Desktop Authority Management Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?** We actually just discovered the system has something called expert assist. This is a remote management and remote support suite built in. Here I was paying for another service and I already had it built in to DA! ### 2. Add the hardware/software inventory capabilities at each user login and the reporting tools and it far surpasses GPO. **What do you dislike about Desktop Authority Management Suite?** The integrated remote control solution could be better. We find that it occasionally refuses to connect to some devices. The use of Java runtime for remote control is also disappointing. We use the feature because it saves us the cost of purchasing another tool, but there are times when I'm ready to dump the remote control feature and look elsewhere. **What problems is Desktop Authority Management Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use Desktop Authority to automate many things at user login, including drive letter mappings, printer installation and registry tweaks. Since we are a small IT team with users scattered over a large geographical area, automation of these items saves IT staff time for more critical work. The ability to pull hardware and software inventory from the Desktop Authority database assists us in tracking our endpoints and identifying the ones that need upgrades or retirement. ### 4. Ability to do different things without scripts is also very convenient as well.
