I feel deeply misled by Designrr.io. I paid the $27 "lifetime access" thinking I was getting access to the tool's core features, like importing a PDF and converting it to ePub or Kindle formats—basic things most authors need. But as soon as I paid, I was hit with an upsell for $97+ just to unlock necessary features. Turns out, to actually export to ePub, Kindle, or access most useful functions, you need to spend over $200.

The dashboard makes it look like you can use these features, but they’re locked unless you upgrade again. This was not made clear to me before I paid. And worse, you can't even upload a PDF on the base plan, which defeats the whole purpose if you're trying to repurpose existing work. They only let you know about the needed upsells after you have already purchased the useless $27 plan. This is super shady

This was not just disappointing—it was a waste of money I couldn’t afford to lose. I’ve spent months building and formatting my book and coaching materials, and I trusted this platform to help convert it. It did the opposite. I now have to start over and find something else, and my entire project timeline is on hold.

I’m asking for a refund, and I strongly urge others to read all the fine print before paying. If you’re a writer or small business owner working with tight resources, be cautious—this tool is NOT transparent about what’s included. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like about Designrr best is that I can actually see the book's layout as I bring in my text and content from other sources like Word or copy and paste. The Designrr program is easy to start, but I cannot say it is user-friendly. It has taken me time and learning over creating dozens of e-books/ pdf files to adapt and learn how to use. 'Designr' is the best tool for an amateur designer who wants to get his work done in the most professional way. Get a flip book done with literally no effort and that too from any source eg. Blogs

Pdf files or even a video for that matter. 'Designr' just transcripts it easily with screen shots in the right place. No typing, no copy paste and plus ready made templates for background and other images to get started with a magnet lead or an ebook.
