Everything just works the way you expect it to. Finding the information I need, whether it's project details, timesheets, or financials is quick and hassle-free. It’s efficient and helps me get things done without wasting time clicking through endless menus or dealing with slow load times. I’ve used other systems in the past that felt clunky and hard to navigate, but Deltek is the opposite, it feels modern and well thought out. It’s made managing projects much more straightforward and has definitely improved how we work as a team. I don’t have to chase information anymore; it’s all there, right when I need it. That kind of reliability makes a big difference in a busy work environment. It is also really easy to integrate between our other products such as the API connection to Power BI. Everyone in our organisation goes through Deltek PIM meaning the frequency of use is extremely high. **What do you dislike about Deltek Project Information Management?** While Deltek has a lot of great features, one thing I find frustrating is how admin-heavy it can be at times. There are a lot of steps involved in some of the processes, and it can feel a bit time-consuming when you're trying to get through routine tasks quickly. Some areas of the system require quite a bit of manual input, which adds to the workload, especially when you're dealing with tight deadlines. I understand the need for detail and structure, but it would be great if some of the admin side could be simplified or automated a bit more. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it does slow things down and can be a bit frustrating when you're juggling multiple projects. There was an update to Outlook that broke the link between PIM and Outlook that, when fixed, will be a huge time saver. **Recommendations to others considering Deltek Project Information Management:** We rolled out PIM email management first. We had employees that left that did not file emails properly and multiple people filing the same email in project folders. There is no duplication of information or information being lost. This alone has probably paid for the software as we can substantiate all costs, contract variations, application submissions etc. Collaboration - site based users are accessing the information relevant to their project. Remote users can easily access all documentation and work from anywhere. This has been invaluable during the pandemic as we were able to easily switch to remote/home working with no disruption to our business. Contract Processes - the different contract requirements are controlled more effectively with deadlines met for submissions to ensure we comply with the relevant terms. Snagging and Defects - centrally controlled and monitored through the mobile app ensures we are handing projects over defect free. ### 21. Ticket support is prompt and there are many how-to guides to review. Direct contact with our account manager is welcomed and response time for queries is quick. **What do you dislike about Deltek Project Information Management?** The search mechanism is a little restrictive i.e. the use of * and ' ' is more time consuming than just typing in a keyword to bring up results. The search for phone numbers is difficult sometimes i.e. if someone is called Andrew and you type in Andy and the surname, it doesn't even pick up any close results on the surname only. The general administration of holidays etc. is not quite as user friendly as I would have hoped. Restrictions on license numbers i.e. we needed to reduce licenses based on our team size and since licenses came in bands it remained costly for our smaller number of users. **What problems is Deltek Project Information Management solving and how is that benefiting you?** Document issuing. It has been a pretty slow implementation so far with various ongoing issues but the finish line is in sight. **What do you dislike about Deltek Project Information Management?** I have found trying to get things sorted with Deltek fairly difficult at times... long wait times / no answers ETC. We have has three different account managers and trying to arrange new work, after an initial discussion / consultation, then seems to be forgotten about. At this stage we are using PIM to store all of our contacts and this possibilities of this really do feel endless.
