Is Datasite Diligence free, or does it offer a free trial?

No. According to G2 data, Datasite Diligence does not offer a free plan or free trial. Users need to purchase a paid plan to access the product. Visit the seller's official pricing page for current pricing details and plan options.

Who is Datasite Diligence pricing best suited for?

Based on G2 reviewer demographics and sentiment, Datasite Diligence's pricing is best suited for enterprise and mid-market organizations running complex, high-value M&A, sell-side, or buy-side transactions where security, compliance, and structured Q&A workflows justify the premium cost. G2 reviewers from investment banking, financial services, legal services, and accounting industries consistently report strong value alignment. Small business reviewers, particularly in venture capital and investment banking, also adopt Datasite Diligence but frequently flag cost as a barrier for smaller or shorter-duration deals. G2 reviews suggest the pricing of Datasite Diligence is least suited for early-stage companies, freelancers, or teams running lightweight diligence processes.

What are the key differences between the free and paid versions of Datasite Diligence?

Datasite Diligence does not offer a free version or a free tier. According to G2's pricing data for Datasite Diligence, the product operates on a single custom-quoted tier requiring direct vendor contact. G2 reviewers consistently note that Datasite Diligence's pricing is structured around page count and special media types such as Excel files and videos, which can lead to cost surprises. Reviewers comparing entry-level access to full deployment highlight that all core features, including AI categorization, redaction, Q&A, and analytics, are bundled into the single paid tier, with no stripped-down or trial version mentioned across G2 reviews.

What do you dislike about Datasite Diligence?

Occasionally, I find that I have to log in twice when using Datasite. Since I use it almost every day, this can be a bit frustrating. However, it's a minor inconvenience—just something that's a little annoying. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Emily Ehlers of Datasite Diligence

Hi there, and thanks for your super-detailed review of Datasite Diligence! We are so glad to hear the support team has been helpful, and also that you've enjoyed the Q&A and redaction tools. If you ever need to do redactions outside of an active deal, we do have a free redaction tool in our Apps Marketplace - I'll put a link below. Comes in handy. We appreciate your note about logging in twice, and we've shared that with the Product team. We are so pleased that Datasite is helping you and your teams with workflow management, and serving as that single source of truth. We would be delighted and honored to support you again on future deals. Warmly, The Datasite Team

What do you like best about Datasite Diligence?

The intuitive interface and advanced search capabilities. It makes managing high volumes of sensitive documents during audits much faster and more organized Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Datasite Diligence?

While the platform is powerful, there are a few areas that could be improved. Firstly, the pricing structure is quite premium, which might be a barrier for smaller-scale operations or shorter projects that don't require the full suite of features. Secondly, although the user interface is generally clean, the learning curve for the more advanced administrative tools can be a bit steep for new users who aren't tech-savvy, requiring more time for onboarding than expected.

I also noticed that when dealing with massive datasets, the bulk upload feature can occasionally experience latency issues, which slows down the workflow during tight deadlines. Additionally, the mobile experience, while functional, doesn't feel as robust or fluid as the desktop version, making it slightly difficult to review urgent documents on the go. Finally, the notification system can sometimes be overwhelming; having more granular control over which specific alerts we receive would definitely enhance the overall user experience Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Sydney Ashmore of Datasite Diligence

Hi, Ameer!

Thank you for the thoughtful and detailed review of Datasite Diligence. We're glad the platform has helped your team close deals faster, achieve greater transparency, and maintain the highest standards of data integrity and compliance during audits. Knowing it has eliminated the risks of manual document handling and replaced fragmented email chains with a single source of truth is exactly the outcome we work to deliver for our clients.

We also appreciate you sharing areas where we can improve. Your feedback on the learning curve for advanced administrative tools, bulk upload performance with large datasets, the mobile experience, and notification granularity is genuinely valuable, and we'll be passing these suggestions along to our product team for consideration. Input like yours directly informs how we prioritize enhancements, and we're grateful you took the time to be so specific.

If you'd like support in the meantime, our Datasite Assist team is available 24/7/365 and can help with onboarding resources or any other questions. Thank you again for partnering with Datasite.
