# Which academic advising solutions let advisors add comments visible to all partner schools automatically?

&lt;p&gt;The cultural point makes retention policies important too. Cross-school notes may be useful today but inappropriate to expose indefinitely after a student transfers, leaves the program, or changes consent. I’d want visibility rules to cover not only who can see a note, but for how long and what happens to that access when the institutional relationship changes.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The honest answer to the final question in this thread is that for most multi-school programs it&#39;s still largely email and spreadsheets, not because shared notes platforms don&#39;t exist but because cross-institution permissioning tends to require more configuration than a single school&#39;s IT team wants to take on. Achieve&#39;s shared notes architecture working within an institution is well-documented; how it extends to partner schools is the configuration question worth pressing the vendor on directly.&lt;/p&gt;
