So the capability that actually matters isn't notification speed, it's disposition, when a change drops mid-job, does the system flag which in-flight jobs and open POs are affected and let you decide per unit whether to rework, scrap, use as-is, or cut the change in at the next serial? A fast "new rev" alert that leaves you to find the committed work by hand has just moved the fire drill, not put it out.
