## About cord
cord is a hiring tool that enables companies to fill their pipelines with active people, and make direct hires. This is made possible by giving you access to thousands of responsive, pre-qualified engineers that you can message over a simple person-to-person messaging tool. High response rates make sourcing on cord as simple as sending a message. At cord, we are on a mission to increase the number of people doing their best work by enabling the most simple transaction on earth - a conversation - to happen between someone and their future colleagues. Sourcing is as simple as sending a message, highly responsive candidates give you your time back. On average, 44% of messages sent by companies result in an interview. By making hiring feel more like starting a conversation, cord lowers the barriers to entry and enables whole teams to be built that wouldn’t otherwise exist.

## cord Reviews
  ### 1. Modern tool for chat based hiring

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 20, 2021

**What do you like best about cord?**

Meeting booking integration makes scheduling new meetings very easy
Easy to use interface

**What do you dislike about cord?**

Could do with more frequent candidates being added
Set a skills to be required in either primary or secondary skills, so long as it's somewhere

**What problems is cord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can't outreach with tools like LinkedIn easily, so this helps us.

  ### 2. Intuitive, effective and engaging - very useful indeed

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2020

**What do you like best about cord?**

Fast and relevant candidates streamed to my specific requirements. People respond to my emails and this has helped me build a pipeline quickly for my requirements.

The engagement of people/potential candidates has been far more positive than when using other platforms - people seem more ready to have an open discussion and be honest about their abilities.

**What do you dislike about cord?**

Sometimes I get a lot of notification emails - some are from streams that I have left.

**Recommendations to others considering cord:**

It's very good to find key technical skill sets and to have positive conversations with people. It is very London-centric however and for regional resourcing is less useful.

**What problems is cord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Finding Developers for some demanding requirements. Speed of access and people into process quickly.

  ### 3. Great app for hiring with no hassle

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2021

**What do you like best about cord?**

relevant candidate profiles in my feed with useful information
handy messaging with candidates
quick setup (they take care of most of it)

**What do you dislike about cord?**

Nothing! would love a mobile version of this

**What problems is cord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've considerably shortened our hiring time

  ### 4. Great Platform!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 21, 2020

**What do you like best about cord?**

Easy to use! You can advertise the company and multiple jobs. Great pool of candidates who are actively looking with clear requirements and Cv's attached.

Great that you can use it as and when so not a binding contract.

**What do you dislike about cord?**

None that I can think of! Maybe increased knowledge of it to job seekers!

**Recommendations to others considering cord:**

It's great, all the consultants at Cord are helpful and the platform us highly beneficial for finding great talent.

**What problems is cord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Speaking to candidates that we wouldn't normally of come across.

  ### 5. Invaluable platform for any start-up or scale-up

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** rob p. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 19, 2020

**What do you like best about cord?**

The platform has access to some of the top developers in the industry which you will not come across on your more traditional methods of sourcing. The layout and usability of the platform itself is where I found Cord to be miles ahead of their competitors. From Sales through to Customer Success the team have been a delight to work with and I will continue to use them for all of our recruitment needs.

**What do you dislike about cord?**

I have been really impressed with Cords platform and to date we haven't identified anything as a business which we dislike. We would like it to be able to connect our internal ATS, Lever

**Recommendations to others considering cord:**

**What problems is cord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are successfully managing to scale-up our engineering team from c. 60 engineers to 100+ this year. Without using Cords platform I believe there would be an impact on achieving our hiring targets.

  ### 6. Useful depending on what you are recruiting for

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 14, 2020

**What do you like best about cord?**

Access to candidates that are not on other platforms

**What do you dislike about cord?**

Not the most user friendly, and unlike other platforms you only gain access to a CV once a conversation has started. It would be more beneficial to have visibility of the Cv prior to outreach. Also does not integrate with ATS - Lever which means there is manual entry required.

**What problems is cord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As previously said it gives access to new candidates, some are which are passive which help to increase pipeline volume and speed

  ### 7. Great platform for reaching active, highly engaged candidates

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel T. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 25, 2020

**What do you like best about cord?**

Can see how active each potential candidate is, as well as which other employers they are speaking to - great insights!

**What do you dislike about cord?**

Perhaps this is an oversight/ misunderstanding, but I find it difficult to list jobs on a day-rate basis. It seems there is only the option for a salary band (annual) which is not helpful for the multiple contract positions we have hired for. More flexibility around commercial offerings would be great.

**What problems is cord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cord is allowing us to cut through the noise and start discussions with highly engaged candidates faster than ever before - by pre-qualifying relevant candidates automatically we are saving tons of time.

  ### 8. Client user of Cord Advertising and Database

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2021

**What do you like best about cord?**

Gives a snapshot of how candidates view there primary and secondary skills without having to drill down in to the detail

**What do you dislike about cord?**

can be a little passive- phone numbers are only given if a person responds

**What problems is cord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

we are in a growth period so Cord provides some excellent candidates

  ### 9. So far so good. Lets see if we hire a candidate.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2020

**What do you like best about cord?**

UI is great. Easy to talk with developers, arrange meetings. It is very transparent.

**What do you dislike about cord?**

Maybe not enough choice... but is there ever enough?

Sometimes developers are not engaged in our company as they have lots of companies approaching them.

**What problems is cord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Access to good developers at a reasonable price.

  ### 10. Excellent developer platform - not your usual job board!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2020

**What do you like best about cord?**

easy search with very few clicks. Once set up it's a very personalised experience and response rates seem far higher than other platforms.

**What do you dislike about cord?**

UI could be a little slicker. For instance every box is clickable and you cannot highlight to copy text, if this could be straightened out it'd be even better

**What problems is cord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

helping to find more developers in a saturated market

  ### 11. Amazingly refreshing talent finding tool !!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Billy H. | Co Organizer of DevOps Playground , Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2020

**What do you like best about cord?**

I found the tool to be refreshingly different from most generic job boards. The candidate quality has been brilliant and we have been able to hire many talented candidates in a short space of time. The cost is quite fair in comparison to other tools and makes it an extremely attractive tool to use when done in the right way. My customer success manager has been very informative and helpful, another refreshing approach and the reason why I will continue to use the tool and recommend peers and colleagues alike to use in the future.

**What do you dislike about cord?**

Sometimes you can become a little inundated with all the replies and responses. Particularly if you have a lot of roles open and you message lots of people. I also had to turn off all the notifications as my inbox was filling up with new candidates and messages, although I do like this alert as it keeps you updated on the latest candidates to market.

**Recommendations to others considering cord:**

Truly amazing product and one of the best places to find quality technology staffing.

**What problems is cord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have lots of different types of technical roles we have to fulfil. Many job boards do not tend to have the greatest of talent and Linkedin recruiter, whilst also a very good tool does not provide you with as high of a response rate as what CORD does. I found myself inundated with many talented candidates and struggling to find the time to speak with them all. Every recruiter dream and has led us to fulfil a number of very niche requirements in a short space of time.

  ### 12. Easy to use way of engaging engineers in London

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nick M. | Tech Recruiter (via Troi), Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2019

**What do you like best about cord?**

Very easy UI and easy to navigate around. Messaging function good to enable automated yet personal approaches to candidates across different templates. Candidates seem to be engaged, response rates are good and candidates I've asked about their experience of co-hire say they feel like they're in control, rather than being approached left right and centre on other platforms.

**What do you dislike about cord?**

It would be good to have some sort of 'project' function to be able to mass-mail - it's not a massive issue as you generally deal with quantity and not quality but would make it easier to review candidates too.

**Recommendations to others considering cord:**

Approach the most recently active candidates, going back further probably means they've secured something else.

**What problems is cord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's proved to be a valuable tool to hire software engineers in London - which is something easier said than done!

  ### 13. Cord has helped us with some business critical hires

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2020

**What do you like best about cord?**

The user interface is great and gives me an excellent summary before clicking into a candidate

**What do you dislike about cord?**

Sometimes the summaries oversell a candidate and when you click in the CV doesn't reflect this.

**What problems is cord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've been able to hire talent I wouldn't have found elsewhere.

  ### 14. Easy to use and find good candidates

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2020

**What do you like best about cord?**

There is a good talent base available on the system which makes it easier to contact suitable candidates in a shorter amount of time. Its easy to sort and filter and I particularly like that there are no duplications once you have already rejected somebody.

**What do you dislike about cord?**

The messaging function can feel a little clunky, particularly the inbox where it is difficult to track and reply correctly to candidates. This can often result in a missed conversation.

**What problems is cord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reducing sourcing time.

  ### 15. A great, cost effective way to recruit top talent

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dan W. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2020

**What do you like best about cord?**

'Streams' as a concept are great - this along with the new candidate notifications mean that it's easy to keep up to date with potential new candidates.

The process of initiating an initial conversation is easy, and from out experience the candidates are highly engaged.

**What do you dislike about cord?**

The only criticism I have is that the candidate chat didn't always update automatically without refreshing the page. This isn't really an issue though.

**What problems is cord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Versus traditional recruiters or 'open' platforms such as Angel, Cord allowed us to access highly engaged talent for a fraction of the cost.

The onboarding process was easy and we were guided through the process of getting started and staying engaged with the platform.

Because of this we made 2 hires within 1-month of being onboarded.

  ### 16. Really good

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lukas F. | Founder & CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2020

**What do you like best about cord?**

Low touch, they just let you get on with it and don't hassle you. Nice UX

**What do you dislike about cord?**

There isn't anything I really dislike about cord.

**What problems is cord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting in touch with lots of active candidates relatively cheaply.

  ### 17. Great platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alys M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2020

**What do you like best about cord?**

Cord had a great range of candidates. Their filtering system meant that we could access relevant candidates easily and their notifications ensured we were kept informed as more candidates came onto the market. I particularly liked the transparency around salary and the ease of use. It was great to be able to add our hiring team into each search too so they could do the technical screening.

All the members of the Cord team I dealt with were great too: they were friendly, professional and well informed and I never felt like I was being 'sold' to. I liked the simplicity of their pricing system and I felt that they provided excellent value and service in a saturated market.

**What do you dislike about cord?**

I think it would've been useful to have been able to 'pause' our subscription to Cord while we were not recruiting - as a small company, the additional flexibility could've been really helpful. I also used to get updates for relevant candidates when no jobs were live but I suspect that was more to do with my email settings rather than their platform!

**Recommendations to others considering cord:**

Give it a go: it's been great! As a HR user, I've seen lots of different recruitment tech, and this is standout for me. Our internal tech team have been really impressed with the calibre of candidates available via. Cord too.

**What problems is cord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've hired for roles which have been particularly niche to fill - agencies have struggled and we've found a number of great candidates via. Cord. This obviously has a great cost benefit to us: their product has been brilliant.

  ### 18. Excellent product, easy to use, high quality of candidates

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2020

**What do you like best about cord?**

Really easy and intuitive platform. Candidates respond quickly and we have made multiple hires from it.

**What do you dislike about cord?**

Would be great to have a Zoom integration

**What problems is cord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hiring great quality engineers in a tough market

  ### 19. Cord.co makes hiring very easy by engaging with active candidates directly and reducing the cost

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason L. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 21, 2020

**What do you like best about cord?**

Very easy to use, engage with active candidates, price much lower than traditional recruitment agencies

**What do you dislike about cord?**

Once I've reviewed potential candidates, the new candidates coming onto the platform is quite slow.

**What problems is cord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reducing cost to hire of candidates and engaging with active and qualified people.

  ### 20. Really easy to use and a great selection of candidates

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2021

**What do you like best about cord?**

Ease of use of the system and automatic meeting booking systems.

**What do you dislike about cord?**

Some challenges using it across multiple users to see if we got sign off from multiple people within the business.

**What problems is cord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hiring new members of our digital team

  ### 21. Great platform for building design and engineering talent.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2020

**What do you like best about cord?**

It's very intuitive and easy to use. There are simple integrations like slack that help keep you up to date when the candidate pool changes, without them being overwhelming. The overall standard of candidates is also very high. It was a much more affordable option to build our talent pipeline than using traditional recruiters, or other platforms.

**What do you dislike about cord?**

Overall I found it easy to use. Not much that I disliked actively.

**What problems is cord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem we were solving was raising the awareness of Alva's roles in a scaleable and affordable way, and getting a good pipeline of talent for those roles as a result. We have had a consistent stream of applications for each role since starting with Cord.

  ### 22. A brilliant platform to recruit engineers.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michele S. | Head of Engineering, Architecture and Delivery, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2020

**What do you like best about cord?**

It can lead to incredible cost savings. It's easy to find and talk to candidates.

**What do you dislike about cord?**

The user experience could be improved. Allowing tabs is a good example, but also improve the chats to be more collaborative between people, and also allow companies to stay stealthy and only be active, rather than forcing them to have open roles in order to talk to candidates.

**Recommendations to others considering cord:**

Learn how to use filters properly.

**What problems is cord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quickly and efficiently find good quality software engineers.

  ### 23. Cord is providing me with good candidates

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Market Research | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 14, 2020

**What do you like best about cord?**

having access to CVs / contact details straight away

**What do you dislike about cord?**

Too many notifications sent to my inbox, not needed

**What problems is cord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having had an increase of tech roles, Cord is working well providing a good selection of candidates that are pretty responsive

  ### 24. Top quality developers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2021

**What do you like best about cord?**

The interface is easy to use and messaging

**What do you dislike about cord?**

Sometimes the developer profile and CV are quite different

**What problems is cord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Finding top developer talent quickly - and we are very fussy.

  ### 25. TA Manager

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 26, 2020

**What do you like best about cord?**

Easy to collaborate with other team members.

**What do you dislike about cord?**

Too many email reminders becomes annoying.

**Recommendations to others considering cord:**

The flexibility of no contract is great, plus there is a good technical talent pool.

**What problems is cord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Expanded talent pool

  ### 26. Useful tool to locate hard to find candidates

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 18, 2020

**What do you like best about cord?**

Cord's user friendly interface and ability to customise emails to send to prospective candidates really makes the experience for both recruiter and candidate a positive one. The simple layout and ability to really drill down into searches means that i'm always able to contact the right person about the right role.

**What do you dislike about cord?**

There's sometimes some info missing from a person's profile but it's not a major concern... it's only as good as what a user adds.

**What problems is cord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've been able to drastically reduce our time to hire and enable a faster turnaround when filling vacancies.

  ### 27. Great platform to help scale your engineering teams!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 28, 2020

**What do you like best about cord?**

The ease of integration with other tools, such as Slack, GSuite and even your ATS is great.

**What do you dislike about cord?**

Not much; the only thing I would possibly add is to block certain times in the diary via Cord. But this is a minor issue.

**What problems is cord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scaling our engineering team; the quality of candidates and level of engagement is second to none.

  ### 28. Excellent service, delivered exactly what I need for a competitive price.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Callum H. | HR Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2020

**What do you like best about cord?**

Easy to use UI, plus the availability of well-suited candidates for my vacancies.

**What do you dislike about cord?**

Maybe they could expand their pool of candidates developing IT Infrastructure but they still do have some good people in that field nonetheless. Otherwise a great platform.

**Recommendations to others considering cord:**

Definitely worth a trial to reduce your agency spend and countless hours spent headhunting.

**What problems is cord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Filling a dozen or so niche vacancies a year in the engineering team, saving thousands in agency fees

  ### 29. Great platform to find Senior Full-Stack Engineers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dhiraj N. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2020

**What do you like best about cord?**

The UI is easy to use and the filters are straightforward.
There are many candidates on the platform ranging from Tech to Leadership.
Most candidates respond in < 1 day

**What do you dislike about cord?**

I guess there not many C-Suite candidates on the platform.
In general, this role is hard to find.

**What problems is cord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hiring the right candidates for our business.
1) with the right tech skills
2) good personality
3) has worked with startups in the past

  ### 30. Quick hires from a great platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lottie N. | Talent Acquisition Technical Sourcer, Staffing and Recruiting, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2019

**What do you like best about cord?**

The responsiveness from candidates - they are really engaged, they engage actively with live jobs advertised by us & they respond to requests from me really quickly
The variety of roles covered - there's a real breadth of technical skills on here, which is great as I cover a breadth too!

**What do you dislike about cord?**

I don't like how once you've messaged a candidate you don't return to the same place in the list, and you cannot click through the profiles. Sometimes I spend a while scrolling back to the place I was at previously. Also, I understand sending notifications / emails to remind people, but I don't like getting them on weekends as well - so maybe fewer reminder emails would be helpful!

**Recommendations to others considering cord:**

I'd go for it! Easy to use, affordable, value adding platform

**What problems is cord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solving hiring problems! I hire for a multitude of technical roles and co-hire covers a lot of these. Benefits wise, as mentioned the speed and buy in from the candidates is second to none; some are more responsive than direct applicants, which is really great to see.

  ### 31. A great extra string in the direct recruiters bow!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Melanie B. | Account Manager, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2019

**What do you like best about cord?**

It gives Mirriad access to job seekers directly both in the UK and coming to the UK and all candidates have been contacted to check whether they hold the right to work and they are all definitely looking for an opportunity. It is very cost effective at the equivalent of less than one agency fee to hire a Developer

**What do you dislike about cord?**

I had to control the number of emails we get automatically from the site and find a way of working that was suitable for me and how I operate recruitment at Mirriad. Sometimes the searches throw up people who are not quite right but there are always plenty that are right and we have seen a pretty good response to our jobs either through searches where candidates form a potential pipeline or from candidates who approach us directly through the platform

**Recommendations to others considering cord:**

Gives another stream of candidates

**What problems is cord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We struggled with getting enough people to apply to our Developer roles through other sites - probably because there are so many jobs of this type and there is a lot of 'noise' for those people looking for tech jobs. Using Recruitment Agencies had seemed to be just as inaccurate in finding us the right people so this gave us a platform to reach candidates with our messaging personally

  ### 32. Excellent platform, gives the power back to the candidates and companies

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lauren P. | Internal Recruiter, Staffing and Recruiting, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2019

**What do you like best about cord?**

There's no middle man. Recruitment agencies can be difficult and expensive. Co-Hire gives the power back to in house recruitment teams and lets you talk directly to candidates of your choice.

The candidate profiles are fantastic, all the important information is right there and easy to find whilst makes reviewing them super easy and quick. Also the integration with Slack means you're always in the know when strong candidates are in your stream.

The customer service and account management from co-hire are also fabulous. Not over-communicating, simply checking in weekly and any issues are resolved immediately.

If you want to save money and time recruiting tech talent, use Co-Hire!

**What do you dislike about cord?**

I honestly can't think of one, every feature works brilliantly.

**Recommendations to others considering cord:**

Do it!

**What problems is cord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Time, money and ease of recruiting for tech teams. For someone not in the 'know' about all things engineering it makes it super simple to find who you're looking for.

  ### 33. Great to be able to run recruitment activities when I have time

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 23, 2020

**What do you like best about cord?**

The candidate overview is incredibly useful, as is the messaging functionality (saves having to look in emails).

**What do you dislike about cord?**

Nothing as of yet. I haven't used the scheduling functionality yet but am excited to do so.

**What problems is cord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main benefit is being able to do recruitment stuff when it works with the million other things going on. Can set aside time and do it...no longer dependent on recruiters

  ### 34. Quick and effective platform to solve your hiring needs

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2020

**What do you like best about cord?**

The platform gives you access to candidates which are 100% on the market for a job change which resolves a lot of the sourcing issues I've experienced with direct reach out. It's super easy to filter out relevant candidates and even simpler to reach out to candidates. Most candidates were very responsive and our account manager Fran helped a lot with improving our hiring strategy to increase the volume of candidates and positive responses. There are new candidates every day and you get notifications (email & slack) when a new candidate joins your stream so you remember to check the platform every day.

**What do you dislike about cord?**

Currently there isn't a way to move candidates through various stages - e.g. phone screen -> hire
The notifications are very helpful, but if 10 people join today I will get 10 notifications which can get a bit annoying for me personally. Maybe a reminder once a day would be enough.

**What problems is cord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Low volume of qualified candidates looking for a job.

  ### 35. Convenient and affordable tech recruitment

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James A. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2019

**What do you like best about cord?**

There are two elements which worked well for us. The first is the cost. All other recruiters charge at least 5 times as much as Cord did for the same hire which is amazing. The second is that the candidates are all eligible for working in London, which is another hassle usually.

**What do you dislike about cord?**

Not a lot really. Everyone was really approachable and the process was smooth. We have been very happy with it all really.

**What problems is cord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We want to be able to hire staff without having to do every single step ourselves, or pay huge amounts to a recruiter.

  ### 36. Quick, efficient time saver

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tom D. | People Manager, Financial Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2019

**What do you like best about cord?**

After setting up as detailed search parameters as you need, the platform will find a pool of candidates that match your requirements and ping you a message directly letting you know when it has found someone. You can then simply, with a couple of clicks message the candidate directly to arrange an interview, eliminating the need to spend hours searching through databases and job boards.

**What do you dislike about cord?**

Currently the pool of candidates tends to be a little heavier towards front end technologies but we are already seeing an increase in back end candidates as each month passes.

**What problems is cord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are going through a huge growth period and need to hire around two to three Software Engineers every month to keep up with demand. Co-Hire saves me time and makes me more efficient with finding high quality candidates enabling me to meet our hiring schedule.

  ### 37. Highly efficient and easy to use service with good return rates

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex J. | Head of Talent, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 18, 2020

**What do you like best about cord?**

I like that it's very easy to start meaningful conversation, easy booking of time in calendars and a great representation of your business

**What do you dislike about cord?**

Could be a little less clunky to whittle search functions, but its actually not all that bad.

**What problems is cord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hiring across technology.

  ### 38. Our best talent has been hired through cord

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul B. | Founder and CEO | Emerging Market CRM, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2020

**What do you like best about cord?**

Having tried a variety of recruitment solutions we have been incredibly impressed with the quality of Cords candidates.

**What do you dislike about cord?**

There is no pipeline to process candidates through the stages, but we found that easy to do using Asana.

**What problems is cord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We want to hire world class talent who care about our business vision.

  ### 39. Every startup should be using Cord ...

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 18, 2020

**What do you like best about cord?**

Relevant and responsive candidates, sequenced templates, company profile, scheduling ...

**What do you dislike about cord?**

I would like to see more designers on there, especially motion, product, graphic.

**What problems is cord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Unfortunately we've not made a hire yet simply due to our high entry standards. But its an amazing tool to use around my busy schedule, the candidates do usually make it quite far into our processes and I could see that as the platform grows more candidates will find it as a relevant way to get hired.

  ### 40. Exaclty what you need to hire the best quickly!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rémi T. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 26, 2020

**What do you like best about cord?**

The integrations with commonly used tools, pricing, hand-on help from cord while not pushy.

**What do you dislike about cord?**

More remote candidate across Europe would have been great, maybe the ability to filter by country ?

**What problems is cord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hire people quickly

  ### 41. Cord has been invaluable to our success in finding great developers in London.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sid S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2020

**What do you like best about cord?**

Cord seems to always have a good supply of candidates, it's easy to narrow down searches and the messaging system is easy to use. Their new calendar scheduling system is a nice touch as well.

**What do you dislike about cord?**

not much to be honest, don't have any dislikes.

**What problems is cord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having a steady supply of good responsive candidates.

  ### 42. Great Candidates and Excellent Pricing Model

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2020

**What do you like best about cord?**

The first thing that stands out about Cord is the quality of the candidates and the regularity by which new ones come on to the platform. It creates an ongoing high quality hiring pipeline. Secondly, the per month pricing model is very well suited to a startup who may not be able to afford the fees charged by other companies in the hiring space.

**What do you dislike about cord?**

The only downside of Cord is that it doesn't have the full feature set of other (far more expensive) competitors out there. However, they are continually adding new features to the platform and imagine this will rival others in the near future.

**What problems is cord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed to have a flexible way to hire high quality individual with a flexible and affording pricing model. This has allowed us to hire some great people at a fraction of the cost of traditional recruitment.

  ### 43. Good platform, great service, strong candidates.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2020

**What do you like best about cord?**

The immediacy of interacting with candidates directly. Being able to filter by factors such as experience, salary expectations. The volume and standard of candidates were both good, and the support received from Co-hire was first class.

**What do you dislike about cord?**

Very little to be honest. The only slight thing to bear in mind is because candidates are available to be contacted by multiple companies, they can be in as many live hiring processes as they want, so they quickly become unavailable or go off the market. This is more an observation about the candidates, rather then the platform however.

**What problems is cord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Relevance of candidates in specialist tech fields like SaaS, Product etc. We didn't find suitable candidates on any job sites and recruitment agencies were more expensive and often didn't send as many, or as suitable candidates.

  ### 44. Great way to find new talent

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark U. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2019

**What do you like best about cord?**

It is very easy to use. If you like someone you send an invite and go from there. It has been very easy to hire people and I have not had to deal with recruiters. It is also a lot cheaper than using recruiters.

**What do you dislike about cord?**

Not everyone knows about it so it does not have as many candidates as I would like. I still get CV's from recruiters that are really good but I can't find them on co-hire. If co-hire could get more people on there then it would be even better.

**Recommendations to others considering cord:**

If you want to find candidates quickly this is a great tool.

**What problems is cord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

How to recruit people quickly. When recruiters are involved everything takes longer now I can get new people in quickly when I need them

  ### 45. Straight forward and easy to use, brings good candidates!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mafalda L. | Talent Acquisition Partner, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2019

**What do you like best about cord?**

I love how easy it is to use, how quickly candidates reply to messages and the quality of the candidates available. In addition, there are just the perfect amount of profiles available for each skills set. Within the first few months of trying out Co-hire, we hired a few brilliant people who added value to our teams from day one!

**What do you dislike about cord?**

I have mixed feelings about the ability to see messages from colleagues, this can be helpful if you are covering for a co-worker who is away on holiday. However, it can also create a busy inbox with messages that might be directed to someone else.

**What problems is cord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed more variety and additional sources to recruit and find the right people as quickly as possible. Co-hire really helps with this.

  ### 46. Great Platform to Use!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 26, 2020

**What do you like best about cord?**

The variety of candidates on the platform, the ability to reach out to candidates directly. The cost of the platform is the best - and also to helps raise our employee brand

**What do you dislike about cord?**

Sometimes, there are no candidates for the role you are hiring, so can be tough when you need a pipeline of candidates

**What problems is cord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To fill our engineering roles quickly to meet tight deadline

  ### 47. Impressed with the candidate quality and volume

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Greg G. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2020

**What do you like best about cord?**

Constant stream of good quality candidates

**What do you dislike about cord?**

If you hide candidates, then you can't access them again.

**What problems is cord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A steady stream of active candidates, complimenting other resources such as Linkedin search which is more opaque about a candidates interest in new opportunities.

  ### 48. Great ROI. Saved £10K+

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 19, 2020

**What do you like best about cord?**

Great UI. Easy to use. Excellent, engaged candidates. For the first time ever I have just offered a candidate without a recruitment fee saving around £15K! My manager thinks I am a superhero for this! :-)

**What do you dislike about cord?**

If you set up your alerts to MS Inbox you can get your inbox full quickly. I need to get organised and get them into another folder.
You need to refresh Cord if you stay logged in for it to update.

**What problems is cord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Better candidates.
Time efficient (can message and talk in same day).
££££'s - savings are incredible.

  ### 49. Hiring made easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark H. | Special Advisor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2020

**What do you like best about cord?**

The team at Co-Hire made the onboarding process super easy, provided some useful tips for engaging candidates and had a steady stream of candidates with the profile we were seeking

**What do you dislike about cord?**

With so many candidates coming through, it was sometime easy to lose track with the ongoing conversations

**Recommendations to others considering cord:**

It's a super easy decision to make. Co-Hire blows the competition out of the water. The team is lovely. And the charitable donation for every successful hire is a nice touch.

**What problems is cord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Recruiting top quality people without having to pay a head hunters' bounty

  ### 50. Direct access to great candidates

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew N. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 05, 2020

**What do you like best about cord?**

Co-hire has worked great for Lumen Research as we are always looking for the best candidates we can afford and so talking directly to people is the best way to achieve this.

**What do you dislike about cord?**

There could always be more candidates in their db

**Recommendations to others considering cord:**

Much better than standard recruiters in London

**What problems is cord solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Technical Recruiters in London are not good - they rarely know anything more than the buzz words of a particular programming language - with co-hire we miss out the middle people and talk directly to candidates
