## ContractWorks, an Onit product Reviews
  ### 1. Streamlined Contract Management with Strong Reporting Features

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shaurya S. | Lead Cloud Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2025

**What do you like best about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

ContractWorks makes it very easy to organize, store, and search for contracts. The user interface is intuitive, and the advanced search options save a lot of time when managing large contract repositories. I especially appreciate the automated reminders and reporting capabilities, which help keep our team ahead of deadlines and compliance requirements. The ease of uploading and tagging contracts is also a big plus, making onboarding new users straightforward.

**What do you dislike about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

While the platform is very effective for contract management, integration options with other enterprise tools could be more seamless. Some customization features feel limited, especially when tailoring dashboards to different team needs. Additionally, the initial setup required more guidance than expected, and training materials could be expanded for faster adoption.

**What problems is ContractWorks, an Onit product solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ContractWorks helps us centralize all contracts in a secure repository, ensuring we don’t lose visibility into important agreements. Automated reminders for key dates (renewals, expirations, compliance deadlines) have reduced missed deadlines significantly, which saves both time and potential costs. The advanced search and reporting tools allow our legal and operations teams to quickly find what they need and share insights with leadership. Overall, it improves efficiency, reduces risk, and enhances collaboration across teams managing multiple contracts.

  ### 2. Simple and Scalable Contract Management for Lean Legal Teams

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kara N. | Legal Assistant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2022

**What do you like best about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

The newer dashboard experience is more configurable, allowing users to tailor views by department, project, or risk category. Alerts now support multi-trigger logic (e.g., "notify me 90 days before AND if unexecuted").

**What do you dislike about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

While great for basic to mid-tier contract management, ContractWorks isn’t yet as advanced as full-scale CLM platforms (like Onit CLM or competitors like Ironclad) when it comes to automated clause negotiation, redlining, or workflow design. Also, the reporting functionality is good but could benefit from more drag and drop or no code dashboard creation. Exporting complex reports can require admin help or workarounds.

**What problems is ContractWorks, an Onit product solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reporting, organization, document retention, e-signing.

  ### 3. Honest response for contractworks

  ### 4. Exceptional Service and Customization to our orgnization

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Guadalupe G. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2024

**What do you like best about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

QueensCare appreciates ContractWorks for their folder organizational feature. We are able to create folders for each department, give access to those that need it and give viewing permission to those that only need to view the documents. This is a good safety feature for our organization. We also like the signature option, which then also allows us to file the documents that have been signed to their appropriate folders.

**What do you dislike about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

Nothing at the moment. Every feature seems to be working out for us. It's easy to use.

**What problems is ContractWorks, an Onit product solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solving our issues with centralizing all of our contract and policies.

  ### 5. Versatile tool for all your contract needs

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Broadcast Media | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 07, 2024

**What do you like best about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

ContractWorks' versatile tagging tool allows me to track essentially any data within a contract that I could possibly need to track. And the fact that it learns your tagging habits and begins to auto-populate your tags by reviewing your document for you.

**What do you dislike about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

I have yet to discover a problem with this program.

**What problems is ContractWorks, an Onit product solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tracking all of our contract's term dates to ensure renewals and terminations do not get overlooked. If contracts auto-renew or auto-terminate due to lack of action on our part, then we could potentially be stuck in a big problem. We could either be left owing alot of money we did not intend on paying, or be left in the lurch without essential services to keep our business running smoothly. ContractWorks keeps track of these dates and provides a notification when they occur, to ensure nothing slips through the cracks.

  ### 6. An Disorganized Solution, for Managing Contracts

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emanuela P. | Principal, Research, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2024

**What do you like best about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

Onit Catalyst for Contracts needs to be user friendly and intuitive. It's diffiulr to use. The interface makes contract management hectic. The non customizable dashboards does not give an overview of all contract details noy ensuring that nothing slips through the cracks.

**What do you dislike about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

The automated workflows are not good as they complicate the contract management process cosnuming me time. The reporting and analytics capabilities are weak and not providing insights that help me make decisions.

**What problems is ContractWorks, an Onit product solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The interface feels a bit clunky and outdated which make it diffiult to navigate and find features.I would be better to provide customization options to adapt to our contract management needs. There have also been instances of glitches and slower response times that have led to experiences as a user.

  ### 7. Limited Customization characteristics

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Igor L. | Head of Science Department, Education Management, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 22, 2024

**What do you like best about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

It is difficult to use and has a non intuitive design of Onit Catalyst for Contracts. It complicated contract management. Makes everything disorganized in a place. The automation features are somewhat limited; they consumed me a lot of time.

**What do you dislike about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

Being unable to collaborate with my team members and monitor progress in time is a disadvantage. Onit Catalyst for Contracts has complicated our contract management process.

**What problems is ContractWorks, an Onit product solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The user interface of Onit Catalyst for Contracts gets a bit cluttered and confusing which makes it difficult to navigate and find the information. There are often loading times that can be frustrating when trying to access or update contract data.

  ### 9. Paralegal

**Reviewed by:** Frances H. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 25, 2023

**What do you like best about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

The software is very user friendly and the help/support center is fantastic. Andrew is kind, informative, patient when learning, and knowledgable. If he is unable to help, he will escalate the issue internally and follow up with you as soon as he has an answer. The functions and reports are very easy to use and create as needed. I like the ability to create a frequency for commonly used reporting within our office. Setting a calendar to run and send it makes my job much easier and allows meto focus on matters that need more of my time.

**What do you dislike about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

I don't necessarily dislike anything that this software offers. CW is looking to hear back from frequent users and open to hearing functions we would like to see in the near future.

This AI built software is efficient and user-friendly in terms of verification for any legal documents. This platform quite unique as it is built in a way that both artificial intelligence and everyday language are combined in such a way to make you feel like a legal department's team within your organization.

**What do you dislike about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

-Firstly, the software 's onboarding system is quite complex although after a certain amount of training and using the software for your projects this issue can be resolved.
-The next program after onboarding was too robust with options that user might get confused as to was has to be achieved.

**Reviewed Date:** September 15, 2022

The repository is easy to access and permits documents to be searched in various ways. You can store documents in specific files or do a general search. It's easy to use.

We needed a repository that was easy to access and allowed us to give permissions to users based on their need for visbility. We were able to restrict users from confidential files.

  ### 15. Organize Contracts set Alerts

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pamela S. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 01, 2017

**What do you like best about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

ContractWorks has allowed me to consult with healthcare companies to organize and centralize all of their contracts! It's easy to track key contract aspects, and easy to create notifications of upcoming termination dates, due dates for financial or community reports, and simple notifications of pending change (increase) in lease rate. Being able to customize the number, type and timing of alerts allows the user to customize what works best for the organization.

**What do you dislike about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

I wonder if there is a more efficient method of storing 'archived' or outdated contracts than in a separate folder. Historically, I created just one archive folder, but needed frequently to see expired leases - so now I have at least two 'archive' folders.

**Recommendations to others considering ContractWorks, an Onit product:**

Easy to set up, store and track/report on numerous contracts - under self-defined groupings (folders). Reminders/notifications of upcoming term dates or other dates of significance easy to establish.

**What problems is ContractWorks, an Onit product solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Centralized storage of all contracts, various permission levels to access contracts, and notifications of upcoming terminations. Assuring timely reports, needed to comply with various grants are produced by their due date.

**What do you like best about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

The ease of being able to import, tag and manage our contracts.

**What do you dislike about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

The 2 factor authentication. No matter what I do it requires me to get a code every day. I never shut my computer down and it says it will not ask for 30 days but it asks every day.

**Recommendations to others considering ContractWorks, an Onit product:**

It is well worth it if you are struggling with keeping up with your company contracts.

**What problems is ContractWorks, an Onit product solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to have all contracts in the same place. We are now aware of when contracts expire. No surprises.

**What do you like best about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

ContractWorks is very user-friendly and intuitive.

**What do you dislike about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

It would be nice to have skip-logic or nested tagging.

**What problems is ContractWorks, an Onit product solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We primarily use it to extract metadata from Contract. It is super helpful being able to quickly navigate to the section or word in a contract so others can see how you came to that conclusion

  ### 22. Lean and mean

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Law Practice | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 01, 2020

**What do you like best about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

This a simple, intuitive program that has proven itself extremely valuable. Makes the process of storing, retrieving and most importantly managing contracts and their ancillary documents easy and effective.

Features are well thought out, not just added for the sake of it. Signature process is easy, powerful, time saving. Reminders on contracts renewals and expiration's are exactly what everybody needs, without exception.

**What do you dislike about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

Upon completion of the signature process, the PDF's are distributed to all signatories automatically, which is excellent. The minor thing I don't like is the little advertising blurb CW adds to it. I would like it to be customizable and tailored to the client.

**Recommendations to others considering ContractWorks, an Onit product:**

Ensure that you get C-level support to acquire the initial batch of documents. Expand user base and set up reminders at the beginning, people will follow.

**What problems is ContractWorks, an Onit product solving and how is that benefiting you?**

What is the benefit of knowing your agreements are safely stored and accessible yet secure? What is the return on having the ability to manage your fees timely instead of having a contract auto renew? What is the advantage of not having supplier agreement auto renew missing the window to cancel?

For all these questions, the answer is that CW delivers.

  ### 23. ContractWork is a great CLM tool.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Biotechnology | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 31, 2022

**What do you like best about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

ContractWorks is a great tool. The implementation was simple, and the AI of the system is top-notch. Contracts are easily accessible and the links to Outlook easily, too.

**What do you dislike about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

It takes a few steps to upload the documents to the final destination of where the final contract should reside. It would be great if there were more out-of-the-box standard reports available.

**Recommendations to others considering ContractWorks, an Onit product:**

Cost-Effective Tool with easy implementation. They have lots of video tutorials along with 24/7 support.

**What problems is ContractWorks, an Onit product solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are setting up a centralized repository to house all executed contracts. ContractWorks is a powerful tool because it allows for different levels of security to give to each of the folders. The ability to control access levels is helpful when setting up different access levels for other departments for each contract or contract type.

  ### 24. Excellent value with responsive, active developer

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Caitlin M. | Associate In-House Counsel, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2019

**What do you like best about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

The basic product is a great value with unlimited storage and users for a cloud-based document archive with strong tagging and reporting. If you are interested in using e-signature as well, this product is a great entry-level product and includes features that integrate signing and archiving. Since we began using the product, features have grown more and more sophisticated, including permitting internal approvals before signature. These features are typically rolled out one at a time, with clear educational videos, and we've adopted basically every feature to come our way. When we have had some questions, we asked the developers about features we might like, and they've been transparent about whether these things are coming or not. We have found that the user interface has been updated to become more and more user-friendly over time, and that updates are seamless for us.

**What do you dislike about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

Not much, especially given the price point. Would like to see integration with some project management software or Microsoft Teams in the future, but that doesn’t detract from the functionality of the product at all. I'd say that users using tablets or smartphones for more than just reviewing and signing documents will find that the product just performs better on a desktop or laptop computer, particularly from the point of view of the person who is creating new documents and sending them for signatures or approvals. We have a very large database at this point, and the search feature takes just a little longer than one might expect to load, although I think this is primarily because of the size of our own archive. There is a search feature that can be run from the reports menu that works with no or imperceptible latency. Finally, there are a handful of smallish features we'd like to see added: one is the ability to add reviewers to a packet already in process without canceling and restarting the packet. We can substitute reviewers, which is great, but sometimes we find out someone else might need to sign off too.

**Recommendations to others considering ContractWorks, an Onit product:**

Think carefully about how you and your colleagues will be using any contract management software. The training required for a product like this can be quite extensive for some. ContractWorks is amazingly simple to use, and requires almost no training for signatories. For those who are tasked with the administrative functions associated with managing contracts, the interface is simple and familiar. Importing our old archive into the system was as simple as dragging and dropping it in. If you're in a department that will be completely new to contract management, I'd say that a product like this one is about as easy to adopt as you could want.

**What problems is ContractWorks, an Onit product solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are cataloguing our executed agreements in a much more useful way and mining them for useful insight, and ensuring that we don’t miss deadlines for auto renewals or holdovers. We are also minimizing the use of paper for signature and review and reducing bottlenecks that the paper-based process caused. We were immensely grateful that we had already begun using ContractWorks for some time before the pandemic hit and forced us to work remotely--we were able to pivot with just about no delay to a completely electronic process. Training users remotely has been a breeze too.

  ### 25. Onit is a lifesaver!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Greg G. | Insurance Advisor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 31, 2021

**What do you like best about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

Being able to customize workflows with ease. Also it is straightforward to provide essential insights at the dashboard and provide ease of use to our clients. This is like Grammarly on steroids! Being able to work at a pace and have an AI system make sure I'm using the correct legal format or wording is crucial. Any business owner who deals in contracts, NDA's, or anything legally binding needs this. The Precedent Intelligence Platform is a unique platform that puts the machine learning and everyday language to your organization and it feels as if you have a legal team within your business. Even after signatures Onit Review AI will review, prepare and make sure things your documents are in the correct order and format. They have this product called "Audit Compliance" that reviews the document completely. I am a big supporting of Onit Review AI.

**What do you dislike about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

Onboarding was a bit tough at first, but once I got through the training and used it for a couple of projects, I overcame. The only issue we had after onboarding was that the programs was so robust with options. It was easy to get lost in what we are trying to accomplish. But again with the excellent customer service it was easy to move past and overcome.

**Recommendations to others considering ContractWorks, an Onit product:**

The reward outweighs the risk with Onit Review AI. It takes minutes to review and has Microsoft Word integration along with a customizable clause library. Onit Review AI will save you time and money. Implementation, when set with the proper expectations, is ready to go as soon as it downloads. One of the exciting parts is that it will reword your writing and write like a lawyer. Onit Review AI is like having a legal administrator in your company. The advice I would recommend to anyone interested in Onit Review AI is to get a demo. The demo team uses accurate life data and applications to provide real-life examples.

**What problems is ContractWorks, an Onit product solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest problem I am solving is not sure how to format a contract or agreement. Onit Review Ai gives me the correct format and reviews it to make sure it is being presented correctly. The most significant benefit is not paying for a lawyer or overtime for an employee to sit and go over the documents. Onit Review Ai allows my business to run efficiently as possible.

  ### 26. Amazing software.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2022

**What do you like best about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

User friendly, manageable and Accurate for all the documents.

**What do you dislike about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

I don't find anything which I can dislike but actually it works so good.

**What problems is ContractWorks, an Onit product solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Time saver, it reduces my work load by its amazing AI and onit review AI works seamlessly and efficiently.

  ### 27. Quick and easy way to review your legal contracts and more

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2021

**What do you like best about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

I like the simplicity and intuitiveness of the AI engine. It is easy to manage and very accurate for all types of legal documents, including SOA, LOA, LOI, etc

**What do you dislike about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

Seeing that AI is still in its infancy stages I see alot of potentional for the engine to get better and faster the more data is retained. Having said that I don't see any major issues with the AI engine at this time.

**What problems is ContractWorks, an Onit product solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Review Ai acts as a virtual assistant in that you no longer have to take the time to review contracts and spend countless manual hours reviewing clauses and terms. The Ai engine will learn what terms and clauses are most commonly used and auto-correct or make suggestions based on previous corrections

  ### 28. Best software for organization and tagging key phrases.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 03, 2021

**What do you like best about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

The tagging and signing functions, makes it easier and streamlined.

**What do you dislike about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

Unable to tag % signs, unable to reverse pages that are upside down. Not able to apply across multiple users.

**Recommendations to others considering ContractWorks, an Onit product:**

ContractWorks is wonderful if you manage a lot of agreements, titles, contracts, etc. It allows you to house them however you choose and do with them what you want.

**What problems is ContractWorks, an Onit product solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Not necessarily problems, just in using ContractWorks, we are able to tag key phrases and go back to them quickly without having to read the entire agreement/contract. We are able to keep our contracts in specific folders, so the organization has improved tremendously. The signing function for others is quick and simple to use.

  ### 29. Straight-forward, useful, and a great value

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Automotive | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 30, 2018

**What do you like best about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

I like that the core functionality is basic document management and electronic signatures without overly complicated or useless added "features". However, ContractWorks continues to add very useful features, including improvements to the electronic signature process.

**What do you dislike about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

There are small tweaks that would be helpful, but are not limiting in the product. ContractWorks seems to be making these improvements, but not necessarily as quickly as I would like. Tagging can get a bit cumbersome, but is still functional and useful.

**Recommendations to others considering ContractWorks, an Onit product:**

This is a product that does what is needed. Too many "features" of other products can distract from getting work done or creates more complications that you need to sign, store, and maintain an organization's documents.

**What problems is ContractWorks, an Onit product solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We keep signed agreements organized and backed-up through ContractWorks. Providing access to uploaded documents makes it easier for the organization to search and find documents on each individuals own. Time savings, especially with regard to having agreements signed electronically. It allows me to maintain control over the signature and storage process, however, also provides members of other departments to search for, view, and download stored documents.

  ### 30. Simple and Thorough

**Reviewed by:** Kent S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you dislike about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

There are not any big downsides that I can think of.

**What problems is ContractWorks, an Onit product solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest problems that ContractWorks solves for our company are organization and searchability.

  ### 31. Easy out of the box solution

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospitality | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 19, 2021

ContractWorks support is the BEST. Setup and use is pretty straightforward, but if I do ever have a question, ContractWorks support team is always available to answer any questions. Having readily available support has made implementation and use an easy experience.

**What do you dislike about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

There is very little to dislike about ContractWorks. It is everything we have been looking for in a contract repository.

**What problems is ContractWorks, an Onit product solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ContractWorks has helped us track our contracts, keep track of important dates and reminders, send notifications, run reports on our contracts, and e-sign contracts.

software that reads, writes, and reasons like a lawyer.

  ### 33. ContractWorks has been an excellent tool for my company.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tessa K. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 15, 2020

**What do you like best about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

ContractWorks is very user friendly and extremely efficient. We have thousands of documents, and it is very easy to organize all of them. The ability to tag documents makes it easy to find necessary documents quickly, and the built-in e-signature feature has also made signing contracts super simple and quick. One of my favorite features is the reporting feature, which has allowed me to schedule a report every time I need reminder about when to renew or terminate contracts.

Overall, it's great to be able to organize all of our legal files easily in one secure location.

**What do you dislike about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

Auto-tagging doesn't always work for all fields so manual tagging is usually required, which can become tedious.

**Recommendations to others considering ContractWorks, an Onit product:**

You definitely don't need to be a "tech" person to use and understand ContractWorks, but don't hesitate to reach out to their customer support if you have any issues.

**What problems is ContractWorks, an Onit product solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prior to ContractWorks, files were in multiple places (both online and in hard forms) making it difficult to find documents quickly and causing headaches. With ContractWorks, we are able to have all of our important files in one location that is secure, includes additional useful features like e-signing and tagging, and has great customer service.

**Official Response from Dena Watkins:**

> Hi Tessa,

Thanks so much for taking the time to share your experience with ContractWorks! I'm thrilled to hear that ContractWorks has helped you get your contracts organized so you can find the information you need faster and with less hassle. We appreciate your feedback and we'll be sure to share amongst our team. Thanks again for your support!

  ### 34. ContractWorks covers our business needs at an affordale price

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sherrill M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 31, 2020

**What do you like best about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

I use it most for signing documents, but our organization also uses it as a contract depository. I have also used it to find contracts. Both of these functions work well for us. I believe other staff members are using the tagging option to allow us to follow up on contracts as the expire.

**What do you dislike about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

I wish that you could select multiple documents to sign at once. I also wish you could include questions to answer or alternate fields to fill in before or after a signer signs.

**Recommendations to others considering ContractWorks, an Onit product:**

I would recommend this product to others that are looking for an affordable option to send documents for electronic signature or looking to go paperless.

**What problems is ContractWorks, an Onit product solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our finance department converted over to a completely paperless AP system prior to COVID which made our transition to remote working easy. The rest of the finance staff adapted the signature function when we went remote so now we are completely paperless other than printing checks.

  ### 35. We are a user of this software and it's extremely user friendly for initial set-up.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mental Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 09, 2018

**What do you like best about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

I like the ease of uploading documents and the quick circulation of approval for multiple signers.

**What do you dislike about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

I would like to ability to add more information like a cost center code for example.

**What problems is ContractWorks, an Onit product solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ContractWorks is very useful in sending out automatic monthly reminders to staff who have grant filing deadlines.

  ### 36. Contractworks

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2021

**What do you like best about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

Easy to use and priced reasonably. It's very user-friendly.

**What do you dislike about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

The AI functionality is very basic but for the price I guess I can't complain.

**What problems is ContractWorks, an Onit product solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us keep track of important deadlines.

  ### 37. A Mighty Powerhouse

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Timothy A. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 17, 2020

**What do you like best about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

ContractWorks is not only incredibly easy to implement it is even easier to use. They system is extremely simple to navigate around with minimal training. We use it across our organization and traditionally when rolling out a new application there is a slew of dissatisfaction. With CW we have had nothing but positive feedback, and easy adoption across our organization. If there has been any question or issue that we need addressed, the support desk at CW is eager and always quick to respond. We rolled CW out over two years ago, and I'm still just as pleased with our decision to move forward with them today as I was back then.

**What do you dislike about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

The only downside that I have come across on the platform is some basic system limitations. For example you are unable to rotate a document that has been loaded and this must be done prior to uploading to the system. Some of the AI that is within the system could be a bit more robust, but it is nothing that causes problems. Lastly, sometimes the folders are not incredibly user friendly for how you would traditionally think they would move around and flow.

**What problems is ContractWorks, an Onit product solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We now have detailed reporting that was previously non-existent. It is now incredibly easy to go in and build a report from basic to somewhat detailed for a view of where our contracts stand. If you take the time invest in tagging there is even more functionality that can be found within the system. Lastly, we have realized how easy the system is overall in getting contracts compared to our previous process which was burdensome and incredibly manual.

**Official Response from Dena Watkins:**

> Hi Timothy,

We're thrilled that you and the rest of your organization are benefiting from ContractWorks! Thank you for taking the time to write a review of the product. Your feedback helps us to continuously improve our offerings and ensure we are meeting the needs of our customers. As always, we are available any time if you ever need assistance.

Best,

Dena from ContractWorks

  ### 38. Great product! Works exactly as advertised.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 17, 2020

**What do you like best about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

This solution brings visibility across all of our contracts and automates date management and signatures in one place. Very flexible in how you want to house your contracts.

**What do you dislike about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

When signatures are needed you need to send to a specific address. If that is not correct, signers struggle to reassign. It is usually rejected and has to be reassigned. The AI can be be kind of hit or miss sometimes.

**Recommendations to others considering ContractWorks, an Onit product:**

If you don't need to author changes and contract versions, ContractWorks is a great tool!

**What problems is ContractWorks, an Onit product solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has been an awesome tool to allow us to manage all of our contracts in one place - no more spreadsheets. We no longer miss contract deadlines by using reports and reminders. It has streamlined signing and we even use at budget time for managers to see commitments to contracts.

  ### 39. Friendly User Platform - Easy to share with co-workers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Pharmaceuticals | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2020

**What do you like best about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

The filters is a wonderful tool for easy search between the team. Also, the reminders for agreement's expiration dates is great to work ahead of time on renewals, etc.

**What do you dislike about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

Will be great to have more than one room in the same account (without to pay additional annual fee for an extra room) in order to maintain certain privacy for affiliated companies or different divisions under the same head quarter umbrella. Our company manage to create different folder for divisions with restrictions depending the case.

**Recommendations to others considering ContractWorks, an Onit product:**

Easy to use and also to train others in the team. You don't need to be a technological person to understand how to use it.

**What problems is ContractWorks, an Onit product solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since our company have offices in different regions, the easy way to search agreements, to upload renewals and licenses works extremely well for the team. Also, we have a "big file cabinet" online that we all have access from anywhere.

  ### 40. User friendly Contract Repository

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yuma S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 03, 2020

**What do you like best about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

Easy to Navigate, drag and drop, and stellar Help Resources.

**What do you dislike about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

Limited Auto-Tagging capabilities, so some manual tagging is required

**What problems is ContractWorks, an Onit product solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Increased visibility to enterprise contracts with centralized repository and folder structure. Increased visibility on milestones for contract dates and compliance milestones.
Reports give a fuller picture of contract portfolio.

**Official Response from Dena Watkins:**

> Hi Yuma,

Thanks so much for taking the time to share your review of ContractWorks! I'm glad to hear you're benefiting from increased contract visibility and the system's ease-of-use. ### 41. User friendly

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 25, 2020

**What do you like best about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

ContractWorks is very userfriendly. I've used many systems to manage contracts, and this one is so far, my favorite. How contracts are organized, just makes sense with ContractWorks. The system also allows me to create easy to manage reports for my organization. The customer support is excellent, too - they are still open to receiving and making updates that their customers request.

**What do you dislike about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

An opportunity for ContractWorks is to allow for individual messages to different people in the contract signing process. For example, the note I send a contractor may be different than the note I want to send our internal signer when they received an alert to sign an agreement.

**Recommendations to others considering ContractWorks, an Onit product:**

Use the system to make your work easier.

**What problems is ContractWorks, an Onit product solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing when contracts are scheduled to terminate

  ### 42. Great cost performance

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David P. | Senior Corporate Counsel, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2020

**What do you like best about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

Everything that ContractsWorks does, it does excellently. Service is always friendly and available. ContractsWorks is very user friendly and intuitive, but even when I'm stuck and cannot figure something out, the service desk is very responsive, helpful and pleasant.

**What do you dislike about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

I wish there was more functionality, such as a more robots contract approval workflow function. But we knew these functions were not there before we purchased.

**Recommendations to others considering ContractWorks, an Onit product:**

Anyone who needs a contracts management system on a tight budget should consider ContractsWorks, it is so easy to use, super stable, and in my experience so far, completely error free.

**What problems is ContractWorks, an Onit product solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have been able to provide access to our contracts database to all of our employees (whereas before access was only available to the the Legal Team). The notifications for contract renewal are easy to understand and enable the non-legal staff to more proactively manage renewals, non-renewals and terminations as appropriate.

  ### 43. Great product and awesome customer experience!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Apparel & Fashion | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2020

**What do you like best about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

What I like best about ContractWorks is their simple feature and layout of the webpage. It is super user friendly and provides the essential attributes needed for the purposes of contracts.

**What do you dislike about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

The e-signature feature is helpful, however, it requires the exact name and email address which is limiting in the event where we or the counter signer doesn't know who will sign at the moment the the contract is sent out.

**What problems is ContractWorks, an Onit product solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The the above comment on e-signature, I do understand the reason behind it is for privacy protection and credibility. Also, I learned the feature on having restrictions by folder based on the type of role you assign a user. One user can have access to multiple folders while another user can have access to just one. This came in super handy.

  ### 44. Enabled our company to organize, store and maintain contracts, BAA's and NDA's.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrea P. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

Automatic Notifications of contract renewals or reviews.

**What do you dislike about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

I don't really have any dislikes with the system.

**Recommendations to others considering ContractWorks, an Onit product:**

If you want a simple implementation with excellent help then this is the product for you. Their product has made a huge improvement for our Company.

**What problems is ContractWorks, an Onit product solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organizing and having all documents in (1) location has been a huge improvement for us.

**Official Response from Dena Watkins:**

> Hi Andrea,

  ### 45. ContractWorks is incredibly easy to implement and very flexible.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 14, 2020

**What do you like best about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

The system is focused on making it easy to get agreements into the system and usable (e.g., searchable, reportable). Developing a well-defined organization structure, tagging, indexing etc. is not a barrier to entry. It's built to help you start using contract information immediately. It's then flexible enough to allow development and refining of organization and tagging as you go. Although the system does not presently have a lot of integrations with other platforms, things like email importing and drag/drop functionality make it very easy to work with.

**What do you dislike about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

Some of the views and navigation are simplistic. Although you can create great custom reports, you cannot customize the columns and tags displayed on the main navigation page. It would also be great to have more nuanced control over user rights. I'd like to be able to grant a group of users full access (including modification of tags/templates) but constrained to a particular folder structure. Ultimately, though, it's easy and inexpensive to add additional instances for subsidiaries or other business areas, so this isn't an overly constraining limitation.

**What problems is ContractWorks, an Onit product solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting agreements into a central repository has been an insurmountable barrier because of the front-end work to organize and index the agreements. ContractWorks solves this by flipping that paradigm around and focusing on getting the contracts into the system and usable first, then building out maturity of indexing/tagging and organization. The artificial intelligence tagging of common contract elements is very helpful and means that contracts can be located and reported upon very shortly after uploading.

  ### 46. easy to use automated contracting system but lack API integration option

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rinosh S. | Digital Marketing & Web Designer (Front end developer), Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 07, 2020

**What do you like best about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

it's easy to use and well organized. it's very easy to find the right contract. don't need to hunt around.

**What do you dislike about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

I would like the program more if it had API integration option. as a stand-alone, it just takes more time to log in and finds the right contract. as a stand-alone product and I am not sure if it's really worth spending money on it.

**What problems is ContractWorks, an Onit product solving and how is that benefiting you?**

More integration with other platforms in the same office automation space. That will increase its value proposition considerably.

**Official Response from Dena Watkins:**

> Hi Rinosh,

Thank you for your valuable feedback! We are glad that you are enjoying the system's ease-of-use and the ability to locate information quickly. We do currently offer SalesForce integration with our Professional and Enterprise plans, and Fujitsu ScanSnap and send by email integrations with all plans. Please feel free to contact us at 866.700.7975 if you have any interest in learning more about current integration capabilities, or to discuss any other ways we can better meet your contract management needs.

  ### 47. Great Product and Awesome Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeff M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 21, 2020

**What do you like best about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

The ease of use and customization make it easy for my users to get up and running quickly. We did not previously have a contract management solution in place and all of the users picked it up quickly and we are well on our way to having it fully implemented.

Also, the support is top notch. Myself and a couple of others in my organization have had a couple of issues that we could not figure out and contacted support both by email and on the phone. Each contact was answered quickly and correctly. They made me feel that they really wanted to make sure that we understood the reasoning behind the solution that they presented.

**What do you dislike about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

I would like the reporting function to be a little more intuitive. It can do many things, but it takes a while to figure out.

The only other thing that I can think of is with the webinars that they conduct periodically. I just wish that they would be more in-depth.

**What problems is ContractWorks, an Onit product solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are just starting to scratch the surface of the implementation. At the present time, we are just converting our old paper contracts to .pdfs and putting all new contracts into ContractWorks.

In the future, we plan on using the e-signature function.

  ### 48. Using ContracrtWorks in Finance/Legal

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael S. | Staff Accountant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2018

**What do you like best about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

The salespeople made it super easy to learn the system and it was easy to use from the get-go. They were very knowledgeable and took the time to explain things to me that I didn't understand.

**What do you dislike about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

When we initially signed on with ContractWorks we weren't able to search by OCR characters. That has since changed and they have updated our ability to do so.

**Recommendations to others considering ContractWorks, an Onit product:**

It is the most affordable contract repository and does everything the other products promise to do at half the cost.

**What problems is ContractWorks, an Onit product solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it primarily as a repository for contracts, W-9s, and vendor registration forms with sensitivity banking information that needs to remain confidential.

  ### 49. Easy to use and affordable contract management tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael D. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2019

**What do you like best about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

ContractWorks is easy to set up, is intuitive to use, so there is limited training requirement, with most users being introduced to ContractWorks with a single 30 minute session. There are also a good range of training videos available on the ContractWorks help site.

The user interface is clear and I love the way the contract is visible, rather than a summary. The snippets once tagged up is really useful.

The support from the team has been excellent and responsive.

In addition the inclusion of e-signing is a great bonus and this is a really useful feature for us.

We also have a lot of users, so the low and fixed cost makes this system affordable for us.

**What do you dislike about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

The AI assistant is still improving and can be hit and miss.

It would be nice to create multi document bundles in e-signing.

Would be nice to have the option of hosting in UK/EU cloud.

**Recommendations to others considering ContractWorks, an Onit product:**

If you don't need the contract creation (red lining) element of a contract management system, then ContractWorks will meet your needs extremely well at a great price.

The feedback from our users has been universally positive regarding the user interface and ease of use.

**What problems is ContractWorks, an Onit product solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are creating a single repository for the first time so there is visibility of contracts and we are empowering individuals to self-serve. Our business is multi-site and has historically not been integrated, so we are seeing some contract types for the first time and we are getting an idea of volume of agreements.
The e-signing templates are also driving efficiency and control by making amendments more difficult.

  ### 50. I'm a huge fan of ContractWorks!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maggie S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2019

**What do you like best about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

I like being able to track contract end dates, tag important contract information, get notifications, organize all of my files, and send out documents for signature. It's the perfect tool for the needs of the non-profit I work for.

**What do you dislike about ContractWorks, an Onit product?**

I would like to send out the agreement to multiple different people with one click instead of individually. Being able to mass email everyone on a list would be very helpful!

**What problems is ContractWorks, an Onit product solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tracking end dates and renewals are solved with ContractWorks. We no longer have to manually keep track of this information.

One of the benefits of using ContractWorks is that documents are housed in one centralized location.

**Official Response from Tara Naughter:**

> Thank you, Maggie, for the great review! We are so glad to hear that ContractWorks is helping you to easily manage and track all your contracts. We appreciate your feedback on our electronic signature tool. We haven’t added that feature yet. But, we think it’s a great idea, and it is something we are working on improving. Thanks again for taking the time to write us a review!
