Who is Consequential pricing best suited for?

Out Of The Blue's pricing is best suited for small Shopify-based e-commerce businesses, which represent the overwhelming majority of G2 reviewers. The Starter tier at $199/month fits lean teams needing basic site error and Shopify app monitoring. Growth at $999/month suits DTC brands actively managing funnel performance across channels and devices. Pro at $1,499/month targets teams requiring deep conversion and engagement monitoring. G2 reviewers span computer software, IT services, apparel, and accounting industries, mostly at the small business level. The Enterprise tier with custom pricing fits larger operations needing ad pixel integrity and legal compliance tracking, particularly those running Meta and Google ad campaigns at scale.

What are the key differences between the free and paid versions of Consequential?

Out Of The Blue's free plan is a 7-day trial capped at 1,000 errors per week, one user, and only two Shopify apps monitored, covering Shopify Status Page monitoring only. Out Of The Blue's paid plans begin at $199/month (Starter) and unlock unlimited Shopify app monitoring, JavaScript and broken image error detection, live chat, email support, and a 1:1 onboarding specialist. The Growth tier at $999/month adds buying funnel event monitoring across channels and devices. The Pro tier at $1,499/month extends into conversion funnel and user engagement monitoring. Enterprise adds ad pixel and legal compliance monitoring. Annual billing on all paid tiers includes two months free.

Is Consequential considered good value for its pricing?

G2 reviewers rate Out Of The Blue at 4.0–5.0 across most reviews, with the majority of small business users expressing strong satisfaction with the real-time alerting, revenue leakage detection, and Slack-based support. One G2 reviewer explicitly flagged pricing and subscription plans as problematic, and another noted the platform is still maturing feature-wise. However, the recurring theme across G2 reviews is measurable ROI: users cite catching broken pixels, payment errors, and funnel drop-offs that directly prevented revenue loss. For Shopify-focused teams where a single missed outage can cost thousands, Out Of The Blue's pricing of $199–$1,499/month is generally viewed as justified by the financial impact avoided.

"Best-in-class CDP for D2C ecommerce - transformed our attribution setup"

What do you like best about Consequential?

The EdgeTag implementation is genuinely powerful. Server-side event delivery means our conversion data reaches Google and Meta even when browsers block pixels — this directly improves our Smart Bidding signal quality. The platform handles enhanced conversions, dynamic remarketing audiences, and CAPI simultaneously, which would otherwise require multiple tools and significant developer effort. The Magento to Shopify migration support was exceptional. The OTB team helped us audit legacy events, rebuild custom definitions in GA4, and ensure our paid media attribution carried forward without a gap in data. For a brand spending significantly on Google Ads and Meta, even a week of broken attribution can cost real money — their support helped us avoid that. The AdPulse reporting has also added real value to our weekly reviews. Having an automated system flag underperforming campaigns, grade ad creative, and surface budget reallocation opportunities means our team spends less time on manual analysis and more time on execution. What do you dislike about Consequential?

The platform is powerful but has a learning curve. There are areas where dashboard visibility could be improved — for example, seeing outbound payload confirmation to each ad channel would reduce the need for cross-platform verification. The team is actively working on this based on our feedback, and we expect improvements in the roadmap. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

This feature significantly reduces the potential loss of money by ensuring that errors are fixed promptly. The efficiency and speed with which I can address revenue errors is invaluable, making daily financial monitoring and management much more effective and less stressful. What do you dislike about Consequential?

I find the pricing and subscription plans of Out Of The Blue problematic. Additionally, the initial setup of the software requires some prior knowledge, which can be a challenge for those who are not already familiar with the system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
