Is Concept3D free, or does it offer a free trial?

Who is Concept3D pricing best suited for?

Concept3D's pricing is best suited for mid-market and enterprise institutions, particularly in higher education, which represents the overwhelming majority of G2 reviewers. Universities and colleges benefit most from the Interactive Map and 360 Tour tiers, using them for campus wayfinding, virtual prospective student tours, ADA accessibility routing, and event mapping. G2 reviews of Concept3D also show adoption in hospitality, events services, and real estate, where large physical spaces require dynamic digital mapping. Smaller institutions can use Concept3D but may find the cost challenging, as several G2 reviewers from small businesses flag pricing as a barrier relative to their limited budgets.

What are the key differences between the free and paid versions of Concept3D?

Concept3D does not offer a permanent free version, but G2's pricing data for Concept3D confirms a free trial is available for evaluation. Both paid tiers, the 360 Tour and Interactive Map, require contacting the vendor for custom quotes. Concept3D's paid plans include a full-featured CMS, dedicated client success manager, custom branding, wayfinding, API access, multi-user roles, and advanced features like 360-degree video, hotspots, and data feeds. G2 reviewers note that certain features such as popups, additional tour stops, and render updates carry additional costs beyond the base contract, making the full feature set dependent on budget and negotiated terms.

Is Concept3D considered good value for its pricing?

Concept3D is widely regarded as a premium investment that delivers strong value for institutions with the budget to support it. G2 reviewers consistently award high ratings, with the majority giving 4.5 to 5 stars, praising the stunning 3D renderings, robust feature set, and exceptional customer support. However, cost concerns appear repeatedly across G2 reviews, particularly around expensive map render updates, features locked behind paywalls, and the lack of included revisions. Smaller institutions and nonprofits find Concept3D's pricing a stretch, while mid-market and enterprise higher education users generally feel the wayfinding, virtual tours, and CMS capabilities justify the expense, especially when replacing outdated static or PDF maps.

What do you like best about Concept3D?

What I like most about Concept 3D is how effortlessly it lets me bring visual stories to life — no heavy lifting, no constant reliance on our web dev team. As a graphic designer, I can build and manage interactive content all on my own.

We’ve invested in our own 360-camera and had a blast roaming campus, capturing panoramas and scenes. Concept 3D makes plugging those into the platform a breeze. It’s truly plug-and-play — drop in 360° photos or videos, hotspots, text, overlays — whatever you want — and it just works.

Some of my favorite things:

• The user interface (CMS/editor) is intuitive — I don’t have to wait on developer help to make edits.

• I can embed hotspots in map stops — with photos, video or descriptive text — to make each location feel immersive.

• The customization options are robust: layering, branding, overlays, toggling visibility.

• It’s mobile- and responsive-ready, so users exploring on phones or tablets get the full experience.

In short: Concept 3D gives me creative control with power and flexibility, letting me focus on design and storytelling instead of technical hurdles. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Concept3D?

I wish Concept 3D was more budget-friendly for smaller institutions. While it offers excellent visuals and engaging interactive features, the costs — especially for updates or additional features — can feel high relative to the benefits for campuses with limited resources. What do you like best about Concept3D?

I really appreciate their newly released dynamic labels, which let us manually update building titles without needing to submit revisions for each one. Their response time is excellent whenever I reach out, and they stay in regular contact with us. The links they provide are easy to add to our website, so we don’t have to worry about tours or people getting lost. They handled most of the implementation work, making the process very smooth. We use the system all the time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Concept3D?

Their map images are expensive to update, and there are essentially no revisions included in the initial cost. Given the ongoing expenses, it would be more reasonable if they offered a set number of revisions each year. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
