What do you like best about Computer Guidance Corp?

Coming from the accounting side of the business I have to say payroll is what I like best about the ERP. We are an union contractor and eCMS can handle the processing of multiple unions along with the weekly/monthly reporting requirements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Computer Guidance Corp?

eCMS at times is not always the most intuitive software. However, the support staff at CGC is always able to walk me through a problem and provide me with the best solutions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Computer Guidance Corp solving and how is that benefiting you?

Our current document management program is being sunsetted. We are currently working with CGC to create various document repositories within their Content Management module to house all of our confidential documents. Their staff have been very helpful with the creation and set up of this. Not to mention we can now eliminate a software subscription because eCMS has the functionality built in. What do you like best about Computer Guidance Corp?

My favorite thing about this software are the IDIs (Interactive Data Inquiries) they allow users to create custom content and build reports in a simple way that easily exports into an Excel file. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Computer Guidance Corp?

A few of the most helpful things about Computer Guidance Corp. would be the ability to generate different reports from several different aspects in the system, the ability to problem solve by tracking items down easily. No matter where you key in your data, there is always a way to trace it back to see where it originated from. The ability to track Submittal due dates with reports and the CGC response time when an issue arises with the system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Computer Guidance Corp?

The only downside to Computer Guidance Corp. would be the outdated portion of keying a Purchase Order Change Order. Navigating through that portion and editing a Purchase Order Change Order, within CGC, is not as user friendly as keying a Request for Proposal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We have run into a few reporting and data capture requirements that are not addressed in the existing software. We are working with CGC to address this and give us along with any other customer the ability to be fully compliant with these needs. We have been a long time user and have been able to run our business effectively over the long term with the flexibility of their construction software eCMS. What do you like best about Computer Guidance Corp?

Each module within eCMS is very seamless and intuitive to use. Menus are organized and laid out logically. Two of the stronger aspects of the software, that I especially like, are the data import suite and a newer re-imagined Content Management module that has been instrumental in our efforts to become a paperless office. What do you dislike about Computer Guidance Corp?

I am a longtime user of eCMS, and I can say that back in the day, when it was time to apply a patch, fix-pack, version update, or similar - something would inevitably "break" or become disabled as a result of that type of load. However, I believe the Computer Guidance as put a heavy emphasis on quality assurance in the the last few years, and these types of incidents rarely occur anymore. What problems is Computer Guidance Corp solving and how is that benefiting you?

As mentioned above, the Content Management module has been a pretty big game changer for us. In fact, we were offered the opportunity to become one of the first beta customers for this newer platform, affording us the ability a weigh in on developmental ideas and concerns before being rolled out to the masses. This product has not only created a stable paperless repository for company documents, but we've experienced a high degree of increased productivity as a result of it.
