# Which Enterprise Payment solutions do CFOs and accountants rely on most for international payment management?

This one's been on my radar while researching how finance leadership actually evaluates Enterprise Payment solutions versus how vendors market them. CFOs and accountants care about different things, mainly audit trails, compliance, and not getting blindsided by fees, so I looked at reviews from people describing exactly those concerns.

Corpay Cross-Border shows up repeatedly for its compliance-driven approval process. One reviewer specifically called out needing to demonstrate proper compliance and approvals for wires sent to lower and middle income countries, and said the platform made that documentation straightforward.

Tipalti gets strong marks for tax compliance, particularly W-8 and W-9 management during audits. A reviewer described it as taking away the stress of tax compliance entirely, with self-service vendor onboarding reducing the amount of manual chasing their team had to do.

Stampli is mentioned by accountants for the audit trail it creates around invoice approvals, since every step from submission to payment is documented and visible.

BILL AP/AR comes up for its ability to keep a full comment history tied to each invoice, which a few reviewers said helped during audits since conversations weren't scattered across email or Slack.

Has your finance leadership ever had to switch platforms specifically because a tool couldn't produce the audit documentation they needed?

For international payments, the strongest platforms seem to be the ones that make compliance evidence part of the workflow rather than something finance has to reconstruct later. I’d compare approval traceability, tax documentation, FX visibility, and how easily auditors can follow a payment from request through settlement.
