**What do you like best about Compensation Tool?**

Compensation Tool has made combing through hundreds of job postings very easy! When conducting a pay analysis on manufacturing roles, Compensation Tool streamlined the process of finding compensation data for similar jobs, in a similar industry, in multiple different cities/states. This tool is a huge time saver and very effective. If you are a global company, Compensation Tool also has information for a few other countries which is very helpful. As a new user, I also very much appreciate that the Team at Compensation Tool took the time to walk me through the system and answered any questions I had.

**What do you dislike about Compensation Tool?**

One issue is that you have to be very specific depending on what role you are searching for. For example, when you are searching for a painter, you have to filter out any type of painter you are not looking for (auto, interior, manufacturing, construction, etc.). Filtering can also be a bit confusing as you have to remember to put '-XXX' to remove specific cuts, but once you get the hang of it the tool is super slick.

**What problems is Compensation Tool solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The market for talent is ever evolving. As employment opportunities are growing, we want to make sure we are retaining the best talent and paying equitably and aligned with the market. Compensation Tool allows us to search for compensation data to make sure our compensation structure and pay align with similar roles within our industry. There could be an instance where a different manufacturing facility is being built in the same city as ours, so we want to make sure our wages are competitive based on external postings and our philosophy.

**What do you like best about Compensation Tool?**

Compensation Tool is an excellent resource for accurate, validated, and timely compensation data.  As a Compensation professional, I am often asked to provide real-time compensation data that is relevant and specific to the geographies in which my organization operates.  Compensation Tool's software, Squirrel,  makes this as easy as typing in the name of a job and selecting some search criteria, similar to a web search.  Unlike salary surveys, this data is more frequent/real-time and is catered specifically to what you search for.  The tool is effective and I particularly like how affordable the solution is.  There's also essentially zero implementation required - purchase the software and it's ready to go.  The customer support is fantastic and flexible and easy to get in touch with.

**What do you dislike about Compensation Tool?**

You can sometimes be at the whims of data availability which means you can't always find the information you're looking for.  For example, if you're looking for compensation data in very rural or remote locations, you may not be able to find anything.  This is no fault of Compensation Tool though - it's just that there may literally not be any compensation data (i.e., job postings) available.

**What problems is Compensation Tool solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Provides specific and real-time compensation data which helps us set competitive pay rates for all our positions within the US.

**What do you like best about Compensation Tool?**

Compensation Tool is an addition to the market. The reporting tools are excellent. It is helpful to have links to job postings for reference. There isnt much we find displeasing about the tool.

**What do you dislike about Compensation Tool?**

The tool lacks market data for making pay decisions. Falls short in providing real-time hourly information as well.

**What problems is Compensation Tool solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It makes benchmarking much easier, than before. Now comparing our salaries to industry norms guarantees that we remain competitive.

**What do you like best about Compensation Tool?**

Very easy to use. Interface is quite simplistic to navigate yet provides great insights through advanced reporting. The innovating technology of Squirrel allows us to see data in real time and gauge the market. The functionality is great and has already given us a return on our investment. Compensation Tool was built by a comp professional for comp professionals.

**What do you dislike about Compensation Tool?**

Compensation Tool is new to the market compared to other well-known compensation software products. The tool does not have a job description to create JDs from scratch based on job title, but we are not creating that may jobs so it doesn't affect us. Though there are a ton of reports one can build, it would be great if there could be perhaps some training on the various reporting tools and how to construct such reports

**What problems is Compensation Tool solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The tool gives us the ability to make pay decisions based on real-time data. It is a critical piece in our mission to attract and retain our key talent and see where we are positioned versus other companies.

**What do you like best about Compensation Tool?**

The availability to see data on a company level and to use it as a complement to our salary surveys to see movement occurring on a daily basis. I love the innovation to leverage the landscape to provide compensation practicioners with an additional tool for the toolbox. It has excellent granularity, and I love how you can also search for keywords in the job descriptions.

**What do you dislike about Compensation Tool?**

Given that it is a relatively new tool, there will always be room to improve and fine-tune the experience. I would like to see the links to the actual job postings as they can be helpful when talking to my clients and allows them to go to these publicly available data sources to view in light of our recommendations and internal data.

**What problems is Compensation Tool solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The tool provides daily information on starting salaries, so it is very current and adds the availability to search based on a particular company. This proves to be very valuable and cannot be achieved via a salary survey. Additionally, this equips the compensation team with a resource that is also easily accessible by the general public and our clients in a unique way.

**What do you like best about Compensation Tool?**

We have been using the compensation tool for a couple of months now and love the user-friendly dashboard and the number of ways to slice the data to find exactly what we are looking for!

**What do you dislike about Compensation Tool?**

There are not many things that we dislike about the tool. However, one enhancement that would be helpful is to be able to save searches from refreshing each month so each month, we can go into the device and export all the data we need in one easy pull.

**What problems is Compensation Tool solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest problem Compensation Tool helps us address is providing our HRBPs with real-time hourly data. Other tools explored weren't real-time and would only refresh once a month.

**What do you like best about Compensation Tool?**

I like the visuals and data that is easily customizable. I also like the fact that we can use the tool in the UK, this will help our global rewards functionality.

**What do you dislike about Compensation Tool?**

We have not experienced any dislikes in our 9 months in the tool. Whenever I do have question, I am able to reach out to support and receive help via email or a scheduled meeting.

**What problems is Compensation Tool solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For us, Compensation Tool is solving any lag time in traditional compensation surveys. It is also providing a different type of data point. It has also been helpful for job descriptions and FLSA evaluation.

**What do you like best about Compensation Tool?**

The software allows for quick and easy analysis of our market pricing.  The tool is really helpful for us and has streamlined some of our processes, making our lives easier.  

**What do you dislike about Compensation Tool?**

I wish the software had a salary survey data, but I would rather have no survey data rather than having employee reported survey data like some of the others tools out there.  For the cost of the compensation tool, we bought a survey and it was still cheaper.

Ease in uploading survey data and customizing what data elements we want to compare

**What do you dislike about Compensation Tool?**

Not so much dislikes, but desire for further enhancements. Ability to customize dashboards and or use of plug ins such a Tableau.

Ability to quickly bench mark company jobs to market data. Create reports showing company pay to market and internal equity.
