The software has all of the important LIMS features without the large number of user accounts required by competing LIMS providers. The cloud-based software provides easy access from any browser and because the software runs in the cloud, organizations with smaller IT budgets can save on maintaining software and data storage on site. The initial configuration was not set up for an environmental laboratory, many of the built-in fields on the sample and test screens had to be modified by CloudLIMS during the setup process. One area for improvement is the initial learning curve that comes with transitioning from spreadsheets to a full LIMS platform. Well once you enter the software it is user friendly and easy to navigate. The training on using Cloudlims due to the simple structure can flow easily and be integrated into the current system and with the inventory sections and other onboarding features data can be stored easily for daily use. The system can be used for everyday processes within the lab space to provide the service the clients require and solve their issues in a timely manner plus with the best customer service in the world , our questions can be answered in real time and we can in turn be of great service to our internal and external client base. The ability to customize the information stored for biological samples, how it's displayed and who has access to see it, is very useful for our small laboratory operation. The CoA template was configured to accommodate our requirements, such as the inclusion of all critical client and sample information and a tabular view of all analytes and their observed values, with each cell of the table designed to capture values based on specific test types. For this, the CloudLIMS team worked closely with us to fully align the CoA template with our expectations.
