## CloudCannon Reviews
  ### 1. A complete CMS for your SSG

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael P. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 20, 2023

**What do you like best about CloudCannon?**

I do like that they support many integration for multiple SSG, so you can use CloudCannon on most popular SSG. Easy to implement with a simple configuration file.

No api, so you're in sync localy, staging and production.

**What do you dislike about CloudCannon?**

The documentation is lacking of details for advanced features, so you need there help for some features, but there support team will help you all the way long.

**What problems is CloudCannon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CloudCannon help us by having the possibility to add custom components to any kind of pages, so our Marketing Team, Product Manager can easily update or add any pages on our websites without waiting the Dev.
The Dev team can focus, on the UI, new components and fix bugs instead of creating new pages, updating content, etc...

  ### 2. Creating and managing websites made easy!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Morgane D. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 14, 2023

**What do you like best about CloudCannon?**

When I first heard about CloudCannon, I was just getting started on my web development journey and had zero experience in tech. I felt relieved to discover such an intuitive and comprehensive tool. I've been developing websites for 2 years now, and I'm always excited to introduce a new customer to this CMS, because I know they'll love it!

**What do you dislike about CloudCannon?**

If I had to find a downside, it would be that my customers who don't speak English are sometimes a little apprehensive at first. But I can adapt the input fields to French, and their adjustment period isn't usually very long.

**What problems is CloudCannon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a custom website developer, I'm looking for tools that makes it easy for my clients to manage their website on their own once it is published. I can easily sync my Github projects to CloudCannon and offer them an intuitive and comprehensive content management experience.

  ### 3. Awesome CMS for Hugo Sites, so much better than anything else out there.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ron S. | SEO Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2022

**What do you like best about CloudCannon?**

Cloudcannon is so feature rich and easy to use. I love how it automatically integrates with Github and the builds are super fast. I used to have to wait several minutes on my old CMS for a build, and on cloudcannon its done in a minute or two. I also like that I can commit several edited pages at one time and not have to make a commit every time I edit a single page.

**What do you dislike about CloudCannon?**

I don't like that it currently doesn't save files locally on cloudcannon. I lost my internet connection once, and I lost some edits I was working on. Support was great in helping me, and the CEO Mike told me he was adding it to their roadmap for adding that functionality to their software.

**What problems is CloudCannon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our old CMS decided to "sunset" their platform, leaving us with no option but to switch CMS's, which was actually great because Cloudcannon is a far superior product and the same price. The CEO Mike helped us through every stage of our migration. I even had a call with one of their Client Specialists where he asked me questions about how my experience was with the product and how they could make it better. That kind of dedication towards customer service is a big tell tale sign of a great company with great people in management.

  ### 4. A great experience for hosting, jamstack development & migration from other platforms like Forestry

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mitch L. | Agile Software Practitioner, Coach and Author, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 15, 2023

**What do you like best about CloudCannon?**

I migrated from Forestry.io to CloudCannon after Forestry said they were shutting down. A friend in the space suggested CloudCannon and I can say they exceeded all my expectations. CloudCannon provides a quality editing interface for our content managers while providing intuitive backend developer controls. CloudCannon's integrated workflow has saved us many hours and headaches.

Given all that, we have found that what really makes CloudCannon stand out is its above-and-beyond customer service. Whenever we have encountered an issue or had a question, their support team has responded quickly and always goes the extra mile to ensure our satisfaction.

Overall, I highly recommend CloudCannon as the ultimate CMS solution for any team looking to streamline their workflow and improve collaboration between developers and marketers.

**What do you dislike about CloudCannon?**

I can't say I don't like anything about CloudCannon. They went above and beyond assisting the team and me in moving our platform from Forestry to CloudCannon. The professionalism and focus on customer support were excellent. Sorry... that's not a negative, but I had a good experience from beginning to end.

**What problems is CloudCannon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CloudCannon has a variety of features that benefit my company. These include data integrity, change management, historical tracking of edits, and more. Our business performance has increased.

  ### 5. Excellent system backed up by best-in-class tech support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shawn K. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 18, 2023

**What do you like best about CloudCannon?**

The support I receive from CloudCannon is excellent, it is the best level of support I have experienced for any product.

**What do you dislike about CloudCannon?**

I can not think of a downside, the product is pretty unique and delivers 100%.

**What problems is CloudCannon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides me and therefore my clients with a unique platform that out performs LAMP solutions every time.

  ### 6. Best CMS for Hugo and other static site generators!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Justin P. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 13, 2023

**What do you like best about CloudCannon?**

CloudCannon has really transformed the way that we offer our website development services to clients. Now we have more flexibility to build the way we want to, reach performance and accessibility metrics we previously could not with other CMSs, and offer a simpler more customized editing experience to our clients. Overall, it has been a great success!

**What do you dislike about CloudCannon?**

The only downside is you'll never want to use anything else! So far we have not run into any limitations and we've been able to accomplish all our needs.

**What problems is CloudCannon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CloudCannon is bridging the gap and allowing client editing abilities to our Jamstack websites. Previously with our Jekyll website builds these were often referred to on our team as being hard coded and not editable. Often frowned upon for proposing for client projects. Now we are Jamstack first and are building nearly all our client websites with static site generators.

  ### 7. CloudCannon adds hosting, automation, and management to static site generators

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kim S. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 30, 2022

**What do you like best about CloudCannon?**

The client sharing feature is very useful as a freelancer. The automation and built-in data types make it really fast and easy to use SSGs. Support is helpful and quick to answer.

**What do you dislike about CloudCannon?**

I miss Dropbox source syncing. It was a low-friction alternative to Github. I understand that API or upstream changes at DB might have forced CC's hand in this.

**What problems is CloudCannon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's nice to not have to worry about hosting (seriously, have you seen the landscape of sketchiness and sus that is webhosting providers?). Not having to set up access control manually for each site and worry about .htaccess (mis)configuration is *chef's kiss*.

  ### 8. CloudCannon has the best editor focused user experience for building and maintaining websites

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jordan T. | Director, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2022

**What do you like best about CloudCannon?**

CloudCannon allows me to create tailored editing experiences for individual customers. CloudCannon also makes it easy to create templated websites that non-technical editors can build and manage. The extensive CMS fine-tuning abilities reassure me that my customers are comfortable and confident managing websites. I can configure the user interface to be as simple or complex as needed and ensure customers won't run into any problems.

**What do you dislike about CloudCannon?**

There's not much to dislike. I've been using CloudCannon since 2016 and haven't experienced any significant issues with them. For any problems that came up, their support explained or resolved them almost immediately.

**What problems is CloudCannon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Finding an intuitive method for customers to manage and edit websites has always been challenging. CloudCannon solves this and much more. My customers are non-technical, and CloudCannon provides the best visual editing experience I've seen. Customers/editors can see what changes they make in real-time and how those changes will affect the rest of the page. Drafts can then be reviewed and published with ease by any user level. Collaboration within teams is a breeze. CloudCannon also supports complex website and build setups. My projects range from static websites (Jekyll, Hugo) to full-scale React apps, which are hosted and managed easily on CloudCannon.

  ### 9. Infinitely flexible and powerful CMS

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David K. | UX Designer and Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 08, 2022

**What do you like best about CloudCannon?**

Using CloudCannon allows you to build the site you want the way you want without being hindered by the quirks and nuances of other, more rigid CMS solutions. Being a static site CMS means you get a super-performant site that is easy for clients to access and update as/when they want to.

**What do you dislike about CloudCannon?**

Very little - the lack of more friendly, custom snippets to add to inline content is something I've bought up with the team several times. It's a minor thing that I've managed to work around - but adding it would make the solution perfect!

**What problems is CloudCannon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having a CMS that can be customised to a client's ability is a HUGE plus point. Most CMS solutions can be daunting and not very accessible to less technically-minded users. The Visual editor and the ability to make the CMS options as rigid or flexible as I require means less support calls and more power to the client when working on their own content. I had a client contact me to say how much they now enjoyed adding new content to their site using CloudCannon, which was fantastic feedback.

  ### 10. Manage and Host Your Static Website Content

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rutvik B. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 31, 2023

**What do you like best about CloudCannon?**

It provides visual editing capability which I found one of the best features of it. It provides different content options which help to change and update the content on the website. It helps to create the form which is an awesome feature.

**What do you dislike about CloudCannon?**

I personally do not dislike anything in it.

**What problems is CloudCannon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me to automate the website deployment and update the website content. It provides a collaboration feature that benefits my team member to work simultaneously. It provides good hosting for websites with CDN.

  ### 11. Feature packed platform that all JamStack developers should look at!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Edvin K. | Web Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2022

**What do you like best about CloudCannon?**

The simple CMS for our clients to use together with an extensive framework to build functionality for most website needs. Also, the reliability of the website hosting is always a priority and I think CloudCannon has had an excellent track record for us.

**What do you dislike about CloudCannon?**

The main downside with CloudCannon for us are definitely the pricing, so for the smaller sites it can be a bit expensive but for larger sites it is not that big of a problem.

**What problems is CloudCannon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main issue CloudCannon is solving for us is making it easy for our clients to edit their own websites without having to contact us. Other than that I would say that it also makes it more convenient to update everything in the editor when you use components in CloudCannon.

  ### 12. CMS for Hugo

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonas K. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 08, 2023

**What do you like best about CloudCannon?**

You are being met with a beautiful interface. There are a lot of features and a good helper getting from another static CMS.
Fantastic support that helped me get from forestry.io to CloudCannon. Responsive company when given feedback on functionality.

**What do you dislike about CloudCannon?**

You will benefit from learning about cloudcannon.config.yml - it will make your editing experience a lot better. But it requires some learning.
It would be nice with some examples of common UI elements like a gallery.

**What problems is CloudCannon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We need a solution that doesn't require us to maintain and update a CMS every day, week, or month or be doomed.
A CMS is easy to understand for everyone, no matter their background is a must.

  ### 13. Amazing experience!!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gustavo B. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2022

**What do you like best about CloudCannon?**

The platform is just excellent. It seems that it was crafted with the tiniest details in mind to bring the best experience for developers and content managers.
Besides that, the support level is superb. Always super fast and gracious.

**What do you dislike about CloudCannon?**

Nothing at all. We've been using CloudCannon for a few years now, and we simply don't have any complaints at all.

**What problems is CloudCannon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All of our institutional web pages, app manuals and blogs are hosted and managed through CloudCannon. Until then, we needed tools like WordPress that constantly required maintenance and a team of developers dedicated to maintaining them. Today we no longer have this problem, as CloudCannon handles all technical difficulties. Today we are only concerned with creating and managing the content.

  ### 14. Great team and an awesome platform.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** August M. | Developer/Web Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2022

**What do you like best about CloudCannon?**

The editor is great and with the use of cloudcannons bookshop components, we can extend the functionality of the editor infinitely. The awesome team behind cloudcannon is a big plus as well.

**What do you dislike about CloudCannon?**

The integration steps can be a bit tricky when using custom bookshop components. This could be easier if the documentation was a bit more in-depth. It would also be really good if there was one included external editor per project so that we don't need to charge our smallest clients for a entire editor account.

**What problems is CloudCannon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cloudcannon helps us give our clients a customized editing experience that fits their needs. We have tried multiple editors/CMS:s before and cloudcannon is at another level.

  ### 15. Great CMS for super-fast websites.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tim B. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 30, 2022

**What do you like best about CloudCannon?**

CloudCannon is a fantastic tool for using with static site generators to create your website. You get a great user interface to manage your content (easy to use for my clients), a super-fast global content delivery network (our business website scores 100/100 for Google Lighthouse and is on CloudCannon), and a great support team who are always there to help you. A really forward-thinking business. Highly recommend CloudCannon.

**What do you dislike about CloudCannon?**

Nothin really to dislike about CloudCannon - great product, great team!

**What problems is CloudCannon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a web developer, I was trying to ensure my clients get performant websites, i.e. fast. CloudCannon gives me the confidence that I provide this.

  ### 16. Easy and intuitive content management system for both developers and editors

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pierre d. | Co-Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 12, 2023

**What do you like best about CloudCannon?**

CloudCannon enables me to work with my chosen SSG, Git, and is fully customizable so I can build the perfect editing interface for my team. The support team and resources are also very helpful.

**What do you dislike about CloudCannon?**

No dislikes to date. Everything works well

**What problems is CloudCannon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CloudCannon brings visual editing to our website for non-developers and enables development teams to continue using Git workflows. No one needs to compromise.

  ### 17. The easiest and most reliable way to transform your Jekyll website into a full fledged CMS.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicolas D. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2022

**What do you like best about CloudCannon?**

The ease of setup and the feature-rich CMS. It is even simpler when your Jekyll website is sourced-controlled on GitHub, GitLab, BitBucket (and many more). Simply configure access to your repo from your CloudCannon account, and of you go. As for making your content editable, just add the "editable" class in your DOM. Voila...

**What do you dislike about CloudCannon?**

There used to be bugs once in a while, but that's part of any growing startup. Those issues were usually minor in comparison to the gains. Also, the CloudCannon support team was always very responsive and capable of setting the right expectation.

**What problems is CloudCannon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Commoditizing CMS from existing Jekyll websites.

  ### 18. CloudCannon makes it easy to setup a Jamstack site and collaborate on content

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ricky C. | Co-founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2022

**What do you like best about CloudCannon?**

Generous hosting tier
Customizable and powerful editing experience
Tons of features related to (re)building sites based upon commits, timers, and API hooks.
The form integrations are killer too!

**What do you dislike about CloudCannon?**

Prices have increased, but it's still a good value for the money. I'm also not aware of the improvements their making to support more platforms -- first-class BridgetownRB support would be stellar!

**What problems is CloudCannon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It makes it easy for me to customize the editing experience for my clients and build websites quick in my favorite static site frameworks. I'm able to keep support costs low and maintain a number of support contracts with must customers.

  ### 19. Great for non-tech marketing team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Healy J. | Vice President FP&A and Marketing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 08, 2022

**What do you like best about CloudCannon?**

I'm a non-developer/technical marketing leader. This tool is basically made for me - I've got a solid web dev who can fully utilize all of his skills, but my team gets a very slick text and page editor that is just as easy to use as wordpress.

**What do you dislike about CloudCannon?**

You need to have real developers - which I don't mind, I actually think is a strenght. But you can't just fire this up as you can wordpress. So if you are committed to having a legit web team running your website, this is totally for you.

**What problems is CloudCannon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I want a best in class website - including the best technology infrastructure. I get to have an amazing web dev dedicate his time to making this a reality, while I get to have a marketing team that can focus on great content, seo, CTAs, etc.

  ### 20. Cloud Cannon offers the best static site CMS.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nathan D. | Creative Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2022

**What do you like best about CloudCannon?**

Cloud Cannon's CMS is very easy to use and makes onboarding clients incredibly easy. Even the self-described "non-tech savy" can use it at a high level with little instruction.

**What do you dislike about CloudCannon?**

Very large sites with multiple content updates per day struggle on the client side due to rebuilding a vast number of posts. This is not an issue; it should be stressed with anything under a thousand posts and very complicated filters.

**What problems is CloudCannon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cloud Cannon allows my team to manage sites that don't need a database and remove the need for updates, security issues, and slow page speeds.

  ### 21. Feature-full seemless static hosting

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alun W. | Developer, Internet, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2022

**What do you like best about CloudCannon?**

There are frequent software updates and feature releases. There's a user-friendly interface and highly customisable editing pages for clients. Enjoying the increased support for multiple static site generators.

**What do you dislike about CloudCannon?**

Most initial drawbacks have improved over time - occasional slow build time has sped up and error messaging has really improved. Customisation can still be a little tricky.

**What problems is CloudCannon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Cloudcannon to host secure static websites for clients who require independent editing access but not the overheads and security drawbacks of full blown CMSes. A consistent platform for multiple clients saves us time and costs.

  ### 22. Dependable, fast-moving, great customer service.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jon P. | Marketing Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2022

**What do you like best about CloudCannon?**

I love CloudCannon because of how easy it is to customize their CMS. New features are constantly being added, and even though things break every now and then, the helpfulness of their customer support means you never have to worry.

**What do you dislike about CloudCannon?**

The support documentation isn't always up to date, and the recent price increase was substantial. In my opinion, client access to the CMS could be more flexible: I'd love to be able to grant access to, say, DNS settings for some clients.

**What problems is CloudCannon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A cost-effective, scalable way to host client websites built on Jekyll & JAMstack technology.

  ### 23. Unfriendly to non developers

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2022

**What do you like best about CloudCannon?**

I like that someone else has set up the account for me. The layout looks clean but...

**What do you dislike about CloudCannon?**

I have no idea to customize further. The help articles aren't friendly for someone who's clueless about developing. It's very easy to be disorganized with files on here, which can definitely be attributed to user error, but I have no help from CloudCannon. I do not feel support from CloudCannon's resources.

**What problems is CloudCannon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CloudCannon hosts my team's website, and we need a website. I do wish it was easier for non developers to use. We have to contract out to ask questions like why the build is failing and how we can fix it. It would be great to have automation to help a user like me know what I may need to fix and HOW to fix it. If you take a look at our current account, a build has been failing for 3 weeks, and we still haven't figured out why.

  ### 24. Reliable hosting for headless CMS

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shovan S. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 04, 2022

**What do you like best about CloudCannon?**

I host over 100 websites on CloueCannon, they have never disappointed. These are what I like
- Customer support
- Product Relibility
- Easy of use
- Regular update
- Seperating workspace per client and teams

I have to say over the years CloudCannon has started supporting various headless CMS this has been great for me to explore and use just one platform to do the Build, management and deployment.

Headless CMS either have no content editors or very complicated content editors. CloudCannon sits in the sweet spot, it's easy for our clients to up date content and easy for edirtos to make certain sections CMS editable.

**What do you dislike about CloudCannon?**

As headless platform it works great. I am keen to explore their API based deployment, that's one things that's missing right now.

**What problems is CloudCannon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CloudCannon is one platform through which I can host all my headless CMS projects, regardless of the size.

It's easy for developers to work with and it integrates well with GIT.

It's also simple editable tools for the clients, this removes us as being a bottle neck.

  ### 25. CloudCannon is great. Can't recommend it enough.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew E. | Principal Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 19, 2022

**What do you like best about CloudCannon?**

CloudCannon gives quite a bit more control to stakeholders than a headless CMS would, but doesn't require that they learn HTML/CSS. It also lets devs write code using the tools they know best. It's great when you've got custom requirements, a team of reasonably capable stakeholders, and a good dev. Unless I were using a stock template and on a project with no special or custom requirements, I'd pick CloudCannon over any of the site builders or headless CMSs any day. The dev and support team are also super capable. Any time I ran into issues, they worked with me to resolve them quickly. I believe I was the first person to use AlpineJS with CloudCannon, so we got to investigate and solve some novel bugs together with that.

I'm a huge fan of CloudCannon.

**What do you dislike about CloudCannon?**

Site building on file-save can be a little bit slow, especially when you're making a bunch of little changes. I think they're still coming into their own in terms of documentation and in terms of finding the balance between convention and configuration.

I don't see any of these as meaningful impediments. The dev team has a really ambitious road map in front of them, and they do a great job of listening to and acting on feedback.

**What problems is CloudCannon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CloudCannon provides a clickable WYSIWYG interface for editing static sites (e.g. those built with Hugo, Jekyll or Eleventy). It slots neatly between Wordpress/Squarespace (and other block-based site-builders) and tools like Ghost (or other headless CMSs), and lets stakeholders immediately see the effect of their changes, and lets devs go at full speed.

There's also the Bookshop component framework, which enables some really dynamic page-building.

I've found this is the sweet spot - my stakeholders can make changes to content (and sometimes layout) without needing to know coding, without needing to involve me, and without fear of breaking things. I can empower my stakeholders and focus on doing my best work. We have far, far less back-and-forth, I'm no longer a bottleneck, and things just work.

  ### 26. Great platform for running Jekyll Websites in an Agency Environment

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ryan N. | Chief Operations Office, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 26, 2022

**What do you like best about CloudCannon?**

UI is clean. The content team finds it easy to use. Its automatic integration with source control makes it a pleasure to work with for our developers. When we have projects where page speed is a major point of emphasis, CloudCannon makes it easy for us to use static sites AND collaborate with non-technical team members.

**What do you dislike about CloudCannon?**

I've occasionally run into odd issues with DNS configuration, but the support team has always been helpful when I run into a snag.

**What problems is CloudCannon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows us to deploy Jekyll sites with the benefit of 'CMS' style functionality for our non-technical team members. Blazing fast sites with the benefits of a CMS equals happy clients and productive team members.

  ### 27. The best CMS for SSGs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joost v. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 17, 2022

**What do you like best about CloudCannon?**

It is a low config one-stop-shop. It works with multiple SSG's and has everything included you could wish for, like hosting on a CDN, form handling, statistics and more. They recently added support/developed a smart search solution. These guys know SSG's in and out.

**What do you dislike about CloudCannon?**

Nothing really... Amazing software! And they keep improving it! They recently added new SSG's and added DAM integration. Even their support is really good. The only negative point I can think of is that there are sometimes (small) bugs in the CMS editor because of their continuing development (which causes a bug every now and then).

**What problems is CloudCannon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a user friendly CMS for a SSG. With CloudCannon your clients/marketing department can update the content of an SSG website without programming knowledge. This is essential for agencies and programmers.

  ### 28. CloudCannon has made us very successful (financially)

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Candy K. | Co-founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2022

**What do you like best about CloudCannon?**

It's really great being able to host unlimited websites. As an entrepreneur and web developer this is incredibly valuable.

**What do you dislike about CloudCannon?**

There is sooooo much we can do with CloudCannon, however learning about all the possibilities means reading through pages and pages of documents. This is extremely draining for people with reading disabilities. CloudCannon would go from 9/10 to 20/10 if there was an online course we could purchase that showed us step-by-step how to implement Bookshop, Jekyll, editable ecom templates, etc.

**What problems is CloudCannon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They are always improving something... and I'm sure they will roll out with an online CloudCannon course in the future too.

**What problems is CloudCannon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

• Client comfort with modern web development workflows.

• Integration with CDN's

• Great page editing experiences

• Support for the most popular technologies

  ### 30. Highly customizable headless cms

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about CloudCannon?**

Simplicity, we are using Cloudcannon as we know jekyll. They make it so simple for our clients.

**What do you dislike about CloudCannon?**

The frequency of updates is huge; sometimes, we cannot follow up.

  ### 32. Dynamic and easy to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andry R. | Product Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 19, 2022

**What do you like best about CloudCannon?**

It helps me quickly, easily and efficiently instantiate web pages for the company's clients.

It is an easy-to-use content manager for content managers and IT technicians for website maintenance.

**What do you dislike about CloudCannon?**

The learning curve is wide to integrate all the tools and scalability that the platform has.

The content editor is slow. It takes a few seconds to save a post with no images. The editor seems to hog my CPU (it kills my Firefox–my go to browser). Uncomfortably similar to how Divi (popular WordPress page builder) can choke my computer resources. I ran some performance tests and discovered that the Divi page builder editor actually takes up less CPU than CloudCannon’s content editor. I didn’t think this was possible!

**What problems is CloudCannon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Transparency, I can see all the source HTML I need to see.

Local Development Environment, my live CloudCannon sites, GitHub code repositories, development repositories, and development site are always in sync.

  ### 45. Ready, Aim, Fire. CloudCannon is that easy!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tom H. | Developer, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2019

**What do you like best about CloudCannon?**

My favourite thing about CloudCannon is its ability to integrate fully with my git source control. Any changes I make on the CloudCannon app are pushed to my repository and vice-versa. This means my website is always up to date, and regardless of where I make changes or how my team grows, I can rely on CloudCannon to keep on top of everything. Additionally, the editor allows you to make changes easily and the selection of pre-made templates can get you up and running quickly with a very professional looking website.

**What do you dislike about CloudCannon?**

The only downside to CloudCannon's source control integration is the way it pushes every single change to your repository. This is useful when it comes to tracking changes and keeping a record of EVERYTHING, but as a fan of larger commits, I dislike how this feature has turned my commit history into a barrage of one-line code changes. This is literally my only issue with CloudCannon, so if you can get over a crowded commit history, this is the product for you!

**Recommendations to others considering CloudCannon:**

If you are using CloudCannon as the CMS for a simple website, hosting it in a github private repository and linking that to your account will save you a lot of time. CloudCannon will build and deploy the static files to your repository, and you can setup a custom url from the github settings. Then managing everything from the CloudCannon app is so easy that you can forget about everything else and not have to touch it again.

**What problems is CloudCannon solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of my favourite problems to solve with CloudCannon is hosting a free personal github.io page. The integration with my github account means that any changes I make are instantly reflected on my external facing site, and using the CloudCannon web app I can easily make changes to my site, or add blog posts on the go.
