**What do you like best about Clearstream?**

As I was researching different options last year (2020), it had one of the quickest onboarding processes. Also, once it is set up, using it is pretty seamless.

**What do you dislike about Clearstream?**

Nothing I really disliked. I was surprised that text list take longer to approve than email list (like in MailChimp) but that seems to be standard across companies.

**What problems is Clearstream solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our church members rely more on text than email, so this has allowed us to communicate more effectively.

**What do you like best about Clearstream?**

I like that it's easy to connect to Planning Center and helps me to keep everyone up to date on what is happening at our church. The weekly messaging prompts are also nice.

**What do you dislike about Clearstream?**

I'm used to mass email tools that have more analytics. Would like to see more, but that may just be a limitation of SMS.

**Recommendations to others considering Clearstream:**

The support is wonderful. Be sure to reach out if you need help. The company seems to genuinely care about churches and desires to help your organization thrive.

**What do you like best about Clearstream?**

Clearstream is a fantastic way to allow people to out into their personalized preferred church content. We have used it for bible reading plans, prompts throughout the week to go with a sermon series, and general updates.

**What do you dislike about Clearstream?**

The biggest challenge with clearstream comes more with people not being used to texting a five-digit number. However, that is becoming more common in general life, making it easier to utilize in our church.

**What problems is Clearstream solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clearstream works best when you're trying to allow people to choose their own personalized 'push content.'

I love the simple, intuitive user interface (both desktop & mobile)!   Very easy & effective to use.  I also love how it syncs to Planning Center Online.

**What do you dislike about Clearstream?**

Don't know that I have any dislikes!  I've been incredibly pleased with the system itself, the customer service, etc.  No complaints!

**What problems is Clearstream solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've been able to communicate clearly & widely with various audiences within our church.  Adding hyperlinks makes calls to action (sign-ups, video messages, giving) very effective.

**What do you like best about Clearstream?**

Scheduling our mid-week communication with Clearstream is terrific. We no longer need to worry about mentioning every single reminder from the pulpit on Sundays. Now we can schedule reminders and upcoming events by scheduling them weeks ahead of time through Clearstream.
We also love that our contact list can be managed through our database, and we can add new names to our communication list with one entry.

**What do you dislike about Clearstream?**

I'm pretty happy with the overall service. The cost is great, and the platform is excellent as well.

Take advantage of the scheduling of your communications.

Our limited staffing requires us to streamline our communication. The fact that there is an app that allows us to post remotely is a plus.

We love how easy the program is to use and that we have the ability to easily contact our church family.

The only thing that has been difficult is not having a repeat feature, but that has been resolved.

I would suggest that you be consistent in your use. Marketing is all about consistency.

We have been able to stay in constant contact with our church members. The benefits of being able to send mass text reminders have been amazing.

We've utilized Clearstream as a catch-all for our members. They can text our keyword, and we keep it updated with a list of current events and next steps they can take.

It's a bit confusing on the website to manage lists. I haven't gone much into that.

I recommend watching some of their training content

It makes digital giving very easy with text keywords, as well as helping people sign up for next steps like baptisms or special events.

We use Clearstream for its integration with our ChMS. It's just as easy to use for mass texts as it is for small teams

**What do you dislike about Clearstream?**

Setting up a text response workflow is not exactly intuitive. But once we figured it out, it was straightforward and quick to use.

**What problems is Clearstream solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Clearstream to send mass communications like weather events, etc. We also use it for keyword texting and a related automated workflow to engage with new visitors and in-service responses.

This is a great option for Churches to be able to communicate with their people. We support 30 churches around the country and most all of them use and love clearstream.

Truly there just isnt any critical feedback for Clearstream.  They are always innovating and developing.

Get it!

We use this as the primary and almost exclusive means to communicating with our church.  We get a much better response rate than email or other options!

Email was not effective for communicating quickly or directly with our members. Clearstream ensures quick and easy communication and more people are being reached because we have started using it.

The automations and intergrations with our other platforms.

The fact that most keywords are already taken, and you can't message people in your database until they text you. I would love to embed this on our website and have it replace playforms like Zendesk or even Twillio.

Onboarding me members through the workflows and automations. People text us and we are able to quickly move them through our customer journey.

It's very simple, easy to schedule for later dates, and plenty of character space to communicate multiple things in one text if needed.

Connectivity between their platform and Planning Center has been a huge help in messaging our congregation.

So far, we haven't had any issues. Every message has been fully sent, and the service works well.

Right now, we're able to communicate with our congregation instantly. This has dramatically helped us in times of need, like canceling a Sunday service due to a Saturday night storm.

The best feature is the integration with other online tools like Planning Center.    It makes using our existing data seamless in contacting individuals for various events.   We have never had a glitch setting up or using.

The cost for texting is a bit higher than other communication avenues.

We are keeping our membership updated on critical events.  More folks read texts.

I think it's straightforward to use, very flexible, and integrates nicely with Planning Center.

I can't think of anything that I dislike about Clearstream.

Clearstream enables us to quickly and easily communicate with our church's congregation concerning upcoming events and important announcements. For example, we've used it to help congregants access church resources when we can't meet due to COVID restrictions and alert them when we've had to cancel church due to weather. We've also used it to set up a separate prayer request line so that people can submit prayer requests directly to our prayer team.

It's provided an easy way for our congregation and community to connect with us. The user interface is pretty straightforward and the price is competitive with other similar services.

**What do you dislike about Clearstream?**

The only downside is that the shortcode is shared with other churches, so if someone else has a keyword similar to one you have, issues can arise if people type the keyword in wrong.

**What problems is Clearstream solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clearstream has helped us increase our engagement, especially when it comes to registering for events. It's much easier for people to text in than it is for them to type in a URL.

I wish it was a little easier to sync our lists. Maybe pulling some of the integrations toward the front end user experience so we don't have to drill so far down to get to those features.

The User interface, shortcodes, auto responders and the fact you can sync lists from planning center.

**What do you dislike about Clearstream?**

How many steps it takes to sync or import a list. I wish lists could be manually resynced from the home page or list page.

We've used Clearstream for simple updates to shortcode event text campaigns as a way of capturing and responding to new contacts. We've also ran games with it. We were able to follow up with way more contacts than before.

I love that we can communicate instantly with people in our congregation.

Obviously cost comes into play. We are likely going to need to add more credits soon considering we are growing in the ministries that are using clearstream, but we are not wanting to go up to the next pricing tier.

Covid made engaging with people difficult. Clearstream helps. We can engage with people instantaneously. Also, we are going to start trying it with our students, to see if they'll text in when they've accepted Christ.

I wish that keywords were easier to come up with. It's hard to come up with something so original each time.

It is very easy to start using and the support team is wonderful to work with and very responsive.

It is much easier to communicate with different teams of people and with students. We are not having to give out personal numbers as much.

Clearstream can be as simple or complex as the user desires, making it easy to get started and learn as you build out whatever texting thread or workflow you'd like. The scheduled messaging is a great way to set up consistent communication without feeling tied to the app. The workflows are a great way to streamline signups, Q&A, and other forms of communication I have yet to discover.

**What do you dislike about Clearstream?**

The additional credits for using emojis is a downside. Emojis help destinguish texts from the recipient's thread, but because of the cost, we don't use them.

**What problems is Clearstream solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Consistent communication with students and parents has been helpful. We've recently discovered that most parents prefer regular texts for updates, which makes Clearstream useful in that regard.

The lack of an IPad app. I mostly use my computer, but often when I just have my iPad on me I don't like having to use my phone.

People are notified the best way that they will see it the reminder. Mass text messaging reminders have virtually guaranteed that volunteers come ready to serve.

We love the efficiency of being able to reach all or a select portion of our membership for important reminders or last-minute changes.

If an iPhone user "likes" a message, it comes through as a reply and uses more than one credit.

Last minute changes for weather or COVID have been simplified because of Clearstream. We're no longer worried that some may not check their email in time!
