**What do you like best about Clearstream?**

The best thing about this system is the ability to send and receive texts with a click of a button! The migration of information from other platforms is super easy! You can create list for various ministries and only send to those people on that list! Love it!

**What do you dislike about Clearstream?**

The only downside is due to us using the version we are using we share a short code and many of the keys that we used previously have been taken already, But we hope to upgrade soon to get our own shortcode!

The problem of being able to get messages and information out to our church members quickly!

**What do you like best about Clearstream?**

I've used two other texting platforms, and Clearstream is hands down the best in every category. Usability, useful updates, clean and modern look, functionality, 3rd party integrations, pricing, tech support. It's simply the best.

**What do you dislike about Clearstream?**

There is nothing I dislike about Clearstream.

**Recommendations to others considering Clearstream:**

Clearstream is better than any other competitor. They continue to add value with every monthly update, and I will continue to use Clearstream for the foreseeable future.

**What problems is Clearstream solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a church, we needed a platform where we could send out real-time communications as well as provide a way for others to reach out and connect with us. Clearstream helps us keep our congregation connected to the most important communications as well as provide a way for new people to connect with us in a way that allows us to stay organized and never let anyone slip through the cracks. The automations and 3rd party integrations give us everything we could hope for and more.

It's pretty easy to use and seems to be effective for our purposes.

We used another texting service that also linked with CCB Database, this is SOOOOOOO much better. Can't say enough. Love the ease of use and the data afterwards

I like it all. Nothing that I dislike. I'm very good with the features and use.

**What do you like best about Clearstream?**

I love the service of the team and the simplicity of the software. It isn't difficult to understand, and when you need some help, a rep is seconds away.

**What do you dislike about Clearstream?**

I wish we had the option of using our own local number in combination with the shortcode. I also wish I could see who unsubscribed following a message without having to download and sort a CSV file to figure it out. I wish I could see the day and time each subscriber opted in using a particular keyword.

**What problems is Clearstream solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sometimes my staff members get mysteriously logged out and can't find a quick way to recover our password. We need a visible "Forgot Password" option that allows us to reset, and sometimes that's nowhere to be found on the login screen.

**What do you like best about Clearstream?**

Clearstream makes it easy to communicate with your entire church simply and effectively! I love that you can customize your keywords to the specific ministries you are using them for!

**What do you dislike about Clearstream?**

Honestly, I have not identified anything that I dislike. The only complaint I have heard from another ministry is that they wish there was a pricing tier between the $49 and the $99 packages.

**What problems is Clearstream solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lack of communication was a frequent complaint within our church. No matter how many emails, phone calls, announcements, etc., people still seemed to think there could be more communication. Clearstream solved this problem because most people have their phones on them at all times. Meaning communication is received and often read immediately.

**What do you like best about Clearstream?**

We love having the ability to text our church body for last-minute updates, especially with the holiday season upon us. Just last week, we had to cancel an event and quickly and efficiently communicated the cancellation to all attendees! We're excited to use the Polls feature within the youth group soon - they're going to love seeing the results in real-time. Also, the updated sync option with Planning Center is a lifesaver!!

**What do you dislike about Clearstream?**

Honestly, the only issue I've had with it was trying to text 1 person specifically from Clearstream, who hadn't before texted us, but that could very well be a user error as I'm still learning. (We had a huge raffle contest and wanted to use Clearstream to contact the winners who didn't show up to claim their gifts, but I had some issues with that individual text.)

**Recommendations to others considering Clearstream:**

10/10 would recommend - it's been perfect for what we need!

**What problems is Clearstream solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clearstream is helping us solve the problem of last-minute, church-wide communication that's efficient and effective! It also allows us to better engage with our congregation.

**What do you like best about Clearstream?**

The program is super user-friendly, and I like that you can choose a local phone number. I can set up a message in no time, and I especially love that I can create the message on Monday even if I don't need the text to send out until Wednesday at 9:00 AM. That feature is super useful.

**What do you dislike about Clearstream?**

I do not like the limited character counts. It makes it really difficult to send out information to the necessary people. I wish the character count was more like it is on Twitter. Just know if you use Clearstream, you will either have to be okay with using text lingo (which I hate) or you will have to pay extra for more credits to send out text messages.

**What problems is Clearstream solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As of right now, I do not know of any specific problem Clearstream is helping me solve beyond simple communication. I like how easy it is to send out mass communication.

**What do you like best about Clearstream?**

Clearstream is incredibly intuitive and user-friendly, and between the chat-bot and FAQ articles, I've never run into a problem I couldn't solve. The integration with Planning Center, our church's preferred CMS, is seamless. The subscription levels make it great for small church plants to mega-churches, and it feels like every month there's a new product development or launch that makes the service even better.

**What do you dislike about Clearstream?**

It would be great if there was an easier way to track new subscribers, i.e. if there was a simple way to pull a list of subscribers who opted-in using a particular keyword in the past week.

**What problems is Clearstream solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest problem Clearstream solves is being able to communicate quickly with our congregation. This was particularly useful during COVID when things were rapidly changing and communicating changes reliably and quickly was necessary. The additional benefit is that the response rate to announcements and CTAs via text is significantly higher than with email.

**What do you like best about Clearstream?**

The keywords make onboarding new attenders very simple. They have streamlined our prayer chain, and allowed us to improve our avenues for online giving.

**What do you dislike about Clearstream?**

Similarly, the keywords are actually most often our downfall. It's usually operator error, but when the keywords are misspelled, they don't do anything, and the texter thinks the system just doesn't work, not that they misspelled the words. It's difficult to always catch those errors.

**Recommendations to others considering Clearstream:**

I've used several different texting services, and Clearstream exceeds all others in terms of ease of use. The user interface on desktop and app and overall modern feel and application of technology is great for our staff's usage but also makes it easily accessible for those opting into our system.

**What problems is Clearstream solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our communication in and out is much more streamlined. Even if someone doesn't have a direct line or phone number for a pastor, people are able to text to our local number, and all staff members can see the message in the inbox, and either pass it on to the appropriate party, or response to the commmunication directly. Our engagement and retention of new people has escalated.

I appreciate Clearstream being so quick to use and set up.  I also really like the app, which is really well made and covers nearly all use cases.

**What do you dislike about Clearstream?**

The keyword limitations/costs are a little challenging to work around - I'd love to get a few more keywords included with packages.

**What problems is Clearstream solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main thing I have been using it for within my ministry is mass notifications for events and changes to our schedule.  The youth group (which I used to be a part of) uses it the same way, but also has keywords/groups to contact parents, students, and volunteers.  One thing I love is that with the app I can fire off a text very quickly without needing a computer.  The other way I've been using it is for personal communication with individuals so that I don't have to give out my phone number (and so they already have a number to contact me on if they've signed up for texts), sort of a Google Voice setup.

The integration to the planning center gives us so many capabilities to communicate to the right folks for the right event....Love it..and if I ever need support they get back to me quickly.   Customer service is everything to me and they have it!

**What do you dislike about Clearstream?**

The only thing we have run into is the browser issue I had. The technical help was a bit hard to get past.  I heard several times  'we can't re-create the problem...'  but we ultimately got on the same page...I say that because of how the user of the system feels when told the problem can't be re-created.   It is a trigger for me as a long term user of testing sytems....A better customer service approach is needed in that situation.  But overall....I love their support

We love that Clearstream had the best support for Canadian numbers than any other competitive services. Also, integration with Planning Center is crucial to our decision to use Clearstream.

It would be helpful to simplify and streamline the process of creating subaccounts and assigning new numbers to them. Currently, it requires the intervention of support to help set up.

I enjoy the simplicity it has when integrating to Planning Center. This has made it easy to notify groups of certain events based on demographics.

**What do you dislike about Clearstream?**

I need it to be easier to tell who decides to opt-out of the text. It would be nice to have a report where I can see that.

I would also like a report to see who has used our keywords. Right now, I have to go through a list of people and pull out the new names there.

I also need to know if I am texting any house numbers. our database has a mix of house numbers and cell numbers. It would be nice to know who has a house number listed, so that I can work on getting their cell.

We have fixed the issue of ensuring that everyone is notified of a specific event.

Clearstream is easy to navigate around via the web and app. I love how easy it was to import our data and set up groups. Scheduling messages is by far the best tool on here. We can schedule messages and set up reoccurring ones. Support is also quick and fast.

I haven't found anything yet. From all that we have been with, this one has been the best one we have used.

Reoccuring message for weekly classes and meetings set up one time and scheduled. Quick and easy access to send a message on the go!

Customer Service is always outstanding every time I reach out needing help or with any issues. It's a great church texting solution for churches looking for something simple for their members and easy for staff/volunteers to use and maintain.

**What do you dislike about Clearstream?**

Because of the keyword we chose, people from other churches accidentally text our code if they put a space in the keyword their church has chosen. These misdirected texts can be challenging to maintain and wastes some of our monthly texting allocations.

**What problems is Clearstream solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using ClearStream,  we have started gathering a texting list to follow up with new church attenders, event guests, and more. Compiling lists like this allows us the opportunity to connect with new people repeatedly. We can also quickly text our members with service updates and use texting keywords to make sign-ups easy.

**What do you like best about Clearstream?**

This is one of the easiest platforms for creating Text-In workflows and automation. Easily gather contact information or send a mass message with ease to your contact list. Quickly and reliably get signups with shortcodes and the options for longcodes.

**What do you dislike about Clearstream?**

If you do not use all of your credits at the end of the billing cycle, they do not just continue to accumilate. So you will need to be sure that you are on the appropriate plan before you get ready to send a mass text.

**What problems is Clearstream solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clearsteam has allowed us to quickly and easily gather participants into appropriate workflows. We use it for First Time Guests, and they automatically are contacted and followed up. We have also been able to create a notification list for storms, special events etc...

**What do you like best about Clearstream?**

It is easy to tailor your Clearstream account to your needs. It integrates seamlessly with Planning Center and Mailchimp so you don't have multiple databases to maintain. Whether your monthly subscription is large or small, you can still purchase extra credits for high-volume times, and the responses all come back in the app, so you see them right away and can reply. Two-way communication is a much better fit for most churches than one-way broadcasting only.

**What do you dislike about Clearstream?**

Sometimes I have to run a sync manually to make sure recent updates are included. That's a very minor gripe.

**What problems is Clearstream solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This is a great way to solve the "I never read my emails" problem! People generally pay attention to texts more reliably than emails. The benefits in engagement and faster response are welcome.

I love the lists feature that allows me to create groups for different purposes as well as import pre-created lists from Planning Center.

I wish emojis didn't cost so many credits to use, but there's nothing to complain about the functionality of the program.

Clearstream has great Support and has a decent set of features, such as managing multiple organizations or business units under one umbrella.

**What do you dislike about Clearstream?**

Sometimes, finding admin functions when logged in as an administrator can be confusing, especially when managing multiple business units in one master account. Pro Tip - be sure to switch accounts to the master account, when performing admin functions, such as billing updates, etc.

**What problems is Clearstream solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed better insight into keyword texting engagement, including opt-ins and opt-outs. Clearstream has a great list of APIs and can API into many solutions by way of Zapier, if there's no native API. This results in better metrics, for campaign target marketing/engagement purposes.

What's best about Clearstream is the ease of use to change keyword prompts and other things as needed and quickly, the fact that we can communicate with our community so much faster than via email, and allowing people to sign up for events is a breeze and increases participation in events! We're so thankful for a platform like Clearstream that simplifies our communication pathways and helps us focus on what's most important.

**What do you dislike about Clearstream?**

Keyword limits are low for our subscription level I think but we can change them as needed week to week and sharing keyword prompts for the 97000 basic text in number gets crowded and options are limited...BUT we we can always create our own number so that's not really that bad. Also would love to be able to create keywords via the app but as far as I know you have to use a desktop browser to do that. Other than that, that's it!

**What problems is Clearstream solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Communication being slow to get out. With our text in lists we can get people informed in minutes, especially about last minute changes or cancellations. Also, it's so much easier to get people the links they need to sign up for events. Takes the hassle out of finding something on our website and brings them right to where they need to be via a texted tiny url.

Clearstream has made it so much easier to get leads quickly and get people connected to our organization. We have received about 75% more leads year over year by implementing this service. The shortcodes are important to us. In other services, you have to use a ten-digit number, which is clunky and hard to remember. With CS the keywords and codes are simple. It integrates with several CMS software to make it a seamless experience on the back end. Less manual entry.

**What do you dislike about Clearstream?**

We've been very happy with CS. We like being able to have sub-accounts that have their own lists. Great analytics and easy to use. I have the app on my phone so i can send and receive messages any time.

**What problems is Clearstream solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our problem was not receiving enough leads. This software offers and much simpler way to enter someone into the communication loop and follow up with them. We utilize the text sequence and schedule out messages for two weeks to communicate and gather information over time. It has been very effective for us receiving information as well.

The user interface on web and on mobile app is so easy to use.  I love that I can easily schedule messages ahead of time, set up automatic workflows, and if I need to, text a last minute reminder or change of plans from my phone or ipad to any of my lists.

Nothing - I've only ever had good experiences with Clearstream, with their customer service, and with their messaging apps.

I love the easy connection with Planning Centre to sync contacts.  We have been using it almost weekly to stay in touch with our church family and it also makes it easy to reply to messages.

**What do you dislike about Clearstream?**

The layout could probably be more open and clear.  There seems to be a lot of duplication which I can understand on a website basis.  However, the primary functions could be more highlighted on the layout of the website.  For example, "create a message" could be the main button (larger) that pops out right when you open clearstream.  I am capable of figuring all this out on your website, but when I think of some of the less tech-savvy church leaders, this would be helpful.  Also the contacts sync button could be more easily accessible.  Maybe even every time you send a message it re-syncs the contacts with planning center to make sure everyone is there.  sometimes I add peoples to Planning center the same day I send out a text.  Again, I know to sync the contacts, but some less tech-savvy people might not.

When used to help keep our campuses informed on upcoming news and events we reliably see a jump in event attendance. We find them to be well priced and to have excellent, attentive, customer service.

You have to have your contacts updated on a regular basis with the most current information. There is really no good way to send to an ad hoc list of people unless they are already in your contacts. To get contacts added they need to be approved by ClearStream and that does take some time.

As I was researching different options last year (2020), it had one of the quickest onboarding processes. Also, once it is set up, using it is pretty seamless.

Nothing I really disliked. I was surprised that text list take longer to approve than email list (like in MailChimp) but that seems to be standard across companies.

**What do you like best about Clearstream?**

I love the simple, intuitive user interface (both desktop & mobile)!   Very easy & effective to use.  I also love how it syncs to Planning Center Online.

**What do you dislike about Clearstream?**

Don't know that I have any dislikes!  I've been incredibly pleased with the system itself, the customer service, etc.  No complaints!

**What problems is Clearstream solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've been able to communicate clearly & widely with various audiences within our church.  Adding hyperlinks makes calls to action (sign-ups, video messages, giving) very effective.

I love that I can connnect with everyone at once while making it seem personable.

**What do you dislike about Clearstream?**

I wish emojis didn't cost so much. I also don't like that responses to individuals who respond cost me some credits.

Get it!

Quickly desciminating relevant information to those who need it.

**What do you like best about Clearstream?**

Scheduling our mid-week communication with Clearstream is terrific. We no longer need to worry about mentioning every single reminder from the pulpit on Sundays. Now we can schedule reminders and upcoming events by scheduling them weeks ahead of time through Clearstream.
We also love that our contact list can be managed through our database, and we can add new names to our communication list with one entry.

**What do you dislike about Clearstream?**

I'm pretty happy with the overall service. The cost is great, and the platform is excellent as well.

**Recommendations to others considering Clearstream:**

Take advantage of the scheduling of your communications.

**What problems is Clearstream solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our limited staffing requires us to streamline our communication. The fact that there is an app that allows us to post remotely is a plus.
