**What do you like best about Cisco Secure Client?**

The best part about Cisco AnyConnect is the ease of use, this has literally 2 fields for the users and boom you're connected, So its also pretty much convineant for the people who are not tech savvy. Another very useful feature is scan feature before connecting. Basically it prevents your system from connecting to the network which is infected in any sort. This is literally super light software and doesn't create any fuss on any low end device as well.

**What do you dislike about Cisco Secure Client?**

Though I am really impressed by the system but there are still some issues which can be improved. First of all the design interface of AnyConnect is quite dated in comparison to the modern softwares. Though UI/UX doesn't cause any issue in working but its still pleasing to the eyes. One more things is that it doesn't switches the network if the the network is not responsive and you have to do it manually.

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2021

**What do you like best about Cisco Secure Client?**

The Cisco Anyconnect Secure Mobility Client is a good VPN client that is stable and with a low resource usage. Over the years I tried many VPN clients and it's the one I prefer. There's some useful options like profiles, statistics and route details that is helpful to troubleshoot when I'm having issue connecting to a server.

**What do you dislike about Cisco Secure Client?**

The only thing I don't like is not from the client itself but from the method to obtain the installer. You need to be logged in to Cisco to download it, I would prefer to be able to download it directly from the web without any account.

**Recommendations to others considering Cisco Secure Client:**

If you have stability issues with your current VPN solution, I recommend you switch to Cisoc VPN, it's the most stable solution out there.

We had instability using the OpenVPN client, since we moved to Cisco Anyconnect the connection is stable and there's no more connection drop. The performance of the connection has also been greatly improved, we can now transfer files as much as twice as fast. Latency was also an issue, with delay in commands when using Remote Desktop, now everything is stable since we move to the Cisco Anyconnect VPN client. I highly recommend it.

It is a great product that helps to connect to any VPN network and secure through login into the system and ensure only those VPN options shown to the user that has their accessibility and permissions. It also helps to check on compliances to ensure endpoint checks are there for each VPN connection. It can successfully verify users on the go and raise any threats with the IT team of the organization. It is quick to deploy and be easily installed in a short time on any system or OS.

**What do you dislike about Cisco Secure Client?**

It can sometimes hang due to incorrect passwords that can be time-consuming for users who, by chance, entered incorrect details. It also does not perform when there is system downtime due to maintenance. It can lead to users not accessing VPN or network services and impact business.

**Recommendations to others considering Cisco Secure Client:**

It is beneficial when many users need to change VPN connection and login into various virtual environments. It allows smooth transitions from one network connection to another quickly as possible.

  ### 41. Most trusted and secured mobility client - CISCO AnyConnect

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 26, 2021

**What do you like best about Cisco Secure Client?**

There are certain things that I like about CISCO AnyConnect, which are :
1. CISCO anyconnect is beginners friendly, people who are new to VPN and didn't have any previous exposure to any mobility connect utility software will find anyconnect easy.
2. Minimal UI for end-users, a lot of VPN dial-up software have a confusing UI, which becomes cumbersome for users who switch VPN multiple times a day. CISCO anyconnect, is very easy as it lets me change between two VPN connections just by changing the domain name.
3. Most crucial factor is its compatibility with other VPN software. CISCO anyconnect works perfectly fine, even if there is some other network security software running in your system like Zscaler, Forcepoint, Broadcom, or Bluecoat. It works on its own without any interruption from the other network security services.
4. Host scan feature. It scans the host machine before connecting to the intended private network. It looks for hijacking vulnerabilities in the host system. Only after that, it connects to the private connection. This is very crucial from an organizational point of view.
5. Minimum resource consumption, CISCO anyconnect is very lightweight and consumes very minimal RAM and CPU.
6. Easy maintenance, internal IT teams can easily configure and maintain each copy in the user's system.

**What do you dislike about Cisco Secure Client?**

There are only a few areas for improvement I would like to bring to notice, those are :
1. VPN connection resets after 12 hours, there is a automatic timer in the client, which disconnects after 12 hours.
2. Manul addition of the domain name, specialy for those, who switch between multiple private networks, its bit time consuming and mundane, if the utility can save the name of the domains and keeps the list and asks user each time which domain to connect it would be much more helpful for heavy users.
3. It needs to handle reconections in a much better way, suppose internet drops and comes back then it faces difficulty in reconnecting to the private network.
4. Hostscan sometimes misfires and for no good reason the connectors doesn't allows to login to the virtual private network.

**What problems is Cisco Secure Client solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With CISCO anyconnect mobility client, we connect to the private networks. In remote working conditions, it is one of the best mobility connection client. Our work output and productivity have increased after buying the CISCO license and using it in our machines, which has led to increased IT support for our client and an increased level of resilience. There is none other than CISCO when it comes to security, anyconnect provides adequate protection and reliability. CISCO anyconnect has enabled us to switch between multiple private network domains. Those who work with various clients may need to change networks numerous times daily, anyconnect is perfect for those.

Cisco increases the simplicity of finding your employer's VPN network and the ease of setting up log-ins. It also excels at re-connecting during momentary network outages and allows my in terminal network-dependent work to continue as my laptop comes back online.

**What do you dislike about Cisco Secure Client?**

Once Cisco has permanently lost the network connection and cannot reconnect, it often offers little warning or notice. It leaves the user dependent on their knowledge to know their network connection is down. Most VPN services will warn the user profusely once it has lost a connection and a login is required from them.

**What do you like best about Cisco Secure Client?**

Cisco Anyconnect is the ethernet system we use at UChicago to give remotely-working staff, faculty, and students access to systems and software otherwise only available on the campus network. It's a painless, seamless connection and allows folks who have to work from home the ability to fulfill all of their job duties. Who could ask for anything more?

**What do you dislike about Cisco Secure Client?**

Honestly, there's nothing in my experience with the system that would lead me to dislike it. It's easy to log in and painless in its operation. No complaints.

**What problems is Cisco Secure Client solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Many systems, especially those that gave staff or faculty access to student information, were unavailable off-campus before the adoption of Cisco Anyconnect. That meant that remote workers could not see and work with some critical data and information, which became an unbearable issue during the pandemic. This system fixed that.

**What do you like best about Cisco Secure Client?**

It enables users, especially during Covid, to work remotely instead of needing to be in the office to use the company Wifi. It also does exactly what is required: every company needs VPN security, especially because online attacks are prevalent now more than ever. This protects against cyber hacks and attacks as suggested, and every company needs to protect itself online.

**What do you dislike about Cisco Secure Client?**

Having to go through Cisco is a necessary evil. No one enjoys taking an extra 10-15 minutes each morning before work trying to fight past Cisco and just access your own files. It doesn't feel necessary to need your phone, laptop, and about a million security measures just to start the workday.

**What problems is Cisco Secure Client solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm happy that, using Cisco, I'm able to work remotely instead of being required to go into the office and connect to their security measures. It's frustrating having to fight past Cisco to start my day, but it's a necessary step for making sure the company is secure online.
