# Cisco Secure Client: How do you handle slow MFA prompts and certificate re-validation after updates?

Cisco Secure Client has been solid for stable connections and VPN auto-reconnect when switching Wi-Fi networks, and the added endpoint visibility, Umbrella DNS protection, and posture checks help keep enterprise access secure without slowing daily developer work. The main friction points have been occasional slow initial authentication during MFA, plus certificate re-validation prompts after major system updates that sometimes require restarting the app, and slightly higher background memory when multiple modules run. How are others reducing these authentication delays and post-update prompts while keeping remote access secure?
