I like that there are so many things I can ask about and have an introspective conversation around those subjects. It really quenches my desire to learn new things. As well as the it's memory that remembers little quirks about you and helps you in a way you might need and understand. 

It’s especially convenient when I’m short on time and need quick, efficient answers. Rather than digging into different topics one by one, the AI can take care of gathering references while I focus on actually working on my project.

Sometimes it makes ridiculous mistakes, and it even makes things up on its own, so I can’t fully leave the entire task to it.

**What problems is ChatGPT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It’s quick and efficient, and it’s especially helpful when I’m working on something that involves extensive reading and research. It lets me condense the text while still preserving the context and the key points I need to focus on.

Even during the creative process, it can suggest ideas to include or further develop for my projects. In a way, it feels like a mentor, something some people aren’t privileged enough to have.

**What do you like best about ChatGPT?**

What I like about ChatGPT is that it has answers to my questions whenever and wherever I’m stuck in life due to a lack of knowledge about any subject or topic. ChatGPT helps me learn more about the topic in depth, which makes it easier for me to stand out in a group. Apart from that, it also corrects my spelling errors whenever I share a passage with it, and it even helps me rephrase my writing.

It started out free, but now it asks for money, which is disappointing. Aside from that, without the right prompt it can be quite difficult to make ChatGPT understand what I mean in some cases.

What I like best about ChatGPT is how versatile it is and how many different tasks it can help with in one place. I use it for generating images, improving designs, brainstorming UI/UX ideas, writing and debugging code, and assisting with development work through Codex. It is also very useful for explaining technical concepts, creating content, summarizing information, and helping me think through project ideas and implementation details.

I also like its integrations and how it fits into my existing workflow. For development, tools like Codex make it easier to work with code, review changes, fix issues, and speed up implementation. It also works well alongside the tools I already use, such as my code editor, browser, documentation, and design workflow. This makes it feel like a practical assistant that supports different parts of my work instead of being just a standalone chatbot.

This can slow down the workflow a little when I’m brainstorming quickly.

what i like best about ChatGPT is its memory. it remembers the things i talk about, my interests, my goals, every little detail about my project. so it feels more personal and natural instead of starting from zero evey time. it makes conversations feel way more real and connected.

I also like the UI specially the pop out feature, it pops out and becomes an overlay on my mac.

it is also i feel like the cheapest AI in the market right now, so the pricing is also good. 

performance wise, it feels like its integrated on my mac, the UI is just really good. and it doesnt lag. 

and the integrations, there are many extensions that i can use. and i think so many are getting added day by day

what i dislike the most is that it sugarcoats things too much and tries to make you feel good instead of being honest and factual. sometimes i just want a real answer, not some kind of sugarcoated motivation. 

i also feel like in coding, anthropic's claude models are just better. the Opus 4.6 or 4.7 are way better than GPT 5.2

chatgpt helps me manage things and figure out things faster. instead of wasting hours searching through websites or videos i can just ask questions directly to it and it will remeber each question that i have asked. it also helps a lot in my projects, because of it's really good memory. it helps organize my thoughts better, so i end up being more productive overall.

I’ve been using ChatGPT for over a year, and it’s grown with me through two very different phases of my life.

When I was studying, it became my go-to tool for getting through dense material. I’d upload PDFs and ask it to summarize key sections or break down specific concepts I couldn’t quite grasp on my own. Instead of spending hours re-reading textbook chapters, I could ask direct questions and get clear, simple explanations focused on exactly what I was missing.

After I started working, my use shifted almost entirely to coding. It’s become essential for debugging: when I hit an error, I paste it in and get a straightforward explanation of what’s going wrong, not just a quick fix. It also helps me improve code I’ve already written by suggesting cleaner approaches and pointing out inefficiencies I might not have noticed. And when I’m stuck on how to approach a problem, I use it to brainstorm ideas and explore different directions.

It’s also been useful for the “soft” side of work—turning rough notes into clear documentation, and helping me phrase emails so they sound more professional and are easier for others to follow.

**What do you dislike about ChatGPT?**

Honestly, there isn’t much I dislike, but there are a few flaws worth mentioning.

When I ask very specific technical or configuration-related questions, the responses can be a bit generic. I often end up going back and forth with follow-up questions before I get to what I actually need. It would be much more helpful if it asked clarifying questions upfront, instead of making assumptions and starting with a broad answer.

I’ve also noticed that it sometimes repeats the same mistake even after I’ve pointed it out and explained that it’s not what I’m looking for. Then I have to correct it again, which can get repetitive.

Lastly, the paid plan feels a bit pricey for individual professionals like me in India, especially after factoring in currency conversion. The value is there, but I’d like the pricing to be more accessible.

As a fresher, one of the biggest challenges I faced was not having someone available all the time to clear my doubts—whether it was understanding a concept while studying or fixing an error at work. ChatGPT fills that gap. I don’t have to wait for a senior to be free, and I don’t feel hesitant about asking basic questions again and again.

At work, it saves me a lot of time when I’m stuck on a bug or unsure how to approach a piece of code. Most ppl use LLMs as Search Engines and I was one of them, until recently, when I discovered what LLMs can really do. Not only do they provide information but also supply more reasoned responses on almost all topics. With Appstore and Playstore presence, plus direct web access to the interface, it can't be easier to always have GPT available to the end-user. The pricing is really high for most end-users and the free use policy does not really allow much movement for the budget conscious user. ChatGpt offers enough capacity in its free tier—I’ve never run out of prompts, unlike other tools like Claude where you’re limited to just a few. That makes it great for iterative prompting and helps me retrieve information consistently. 

I’ve kept a chat window open for the last nine months but I am still able to retrieve the memory and ask context based question.

The Project feature in ChatGPT is very helpful. It saves me time on re-prompting because I can set instructions and create a project-specific knowledge repository.

Apart from the cat feature, The image generation feature has improved a lot. We use this images for brainstorming, non-essential posting, which earlier used to take a lot of admin time for us.

On a more personal usage note, it’s also been a great tool for medical-related guidance: I can feed it medical reports and get insights into what parameters are in or out of range, what questions to ask my doctors, and what precautions to take. That’s incredibly valuable for someone from non-medical field like me.

Overall, the setup was about as easy as it can be—really easy.

I feel that, at times, ChatGPT hallucinates quite a bit. When I compare it with Claude, Claude’s writing feels exceptional. ChatGPT can write well too, but it often falls back on predictable, LLM-style phrasing and buzzwords that read like they’re coming straight from a model. 

From a writing perspective, ChatGPT still has a lot of work to do compared with tools like Claude.

To get the best output, we have to do multiple iteration of the prompt, yet there is no certainity that ChatGPT will understand the context, sometimes it is like you fix one part and the other part gets affected. I had also used the paid version previously but the downgraded back to base free plan.

It’s the most reliable chatbot I’ve used, with a clean, minimalistic interface coming with the most generous free tier usage. Responses almost feel instant, with hardly any lag, that helps me maintain a steady flow of the conversation . It also remembers and recalls context accurately, even across long conversations, which is super helpful for me as I do not need to reiterate something that I already said to the chatbot. Beyond text, as it supports multimodal input such as images, audio, and video, so I can easily utilize these capabilities to have some highly immersive conversation. It integrates with external tools via connectors but I haven't used this feature much yet.

**What do you dislike about ChatGPT?**

In my experience, the biggest drawback is the chatbot’s tendency toward sycophancy and hallucinations. By sycophancy I mean It can reinforce my wrong belief just to agree with me and by hallucinations I mean sometimes it pass on incorrect information as correct, which means the burden lies on me to double-check its responses with other sources-especially when the topic is unfamiliar to me.

I use ChatGPT extensively for my professional work and it has become an invaluable productivity tool. It helps me draft professional emails, create proposals and presentations, generate reports, and refine business communication efficiently. I appreciate its ability to understand context and provide well-structured, high-quality responses that save significant time. ChatGPT has also helped me automate repetitive tasks, improve documentation, and enhance the overall quality of my work. It's an excellent tool for professionals looking to increase productivity and streamline daily tasks. I also value the professionalism of its image creation feature, which makes images as per the topic that I want, and they are clear and professional. Additionally, the initial setup of ChatGPT was very easy.

**What do you like best about ChatGPT?**

What I like most about ChatGPT is how broadly useful it is in my day-to-day work, along with how much the agent and coding capabilities have improved. I use it every day in my consulting business for coding, research, documentation, planning, PRDs, emails, and customer communication. For me, the biggest value is having one tool that reliably supports a wide range of workflows.

The quality of the agents is a major strength. They make ChatGPT feel more actionable and practical than a basic chat interface because I can use it to actually move work forward, not just generate text. I also really value the Codex access included with my subscription. Since coding support is one of my primary use cases, it helps me prototype, iterate, and work through technical problems faster.

I also appreciate the support for custom connectors and the broader set of AI capabilities, including memory, file analysis, image understanding, voice, projects, coding tools, and custom GPTs. Taken together, these features make ChatGPT flexible enough to use across both technical and business work, rather than being limited to a single type of task.

**What do you dislike about ChatGPT?**

What I dislike most about ChatGPT is that it still hallucinates at times, which means I can’t always trust the output without reviewing it carefully. This is especially important when I’m using it for research, documentation, planning, or customer-facing communication, where accuracy really matters.

I also run into usage limits, which can be frustrating when ChatGPT is part of my daily workflow. Because I use it heavily across multiple types of work, those limits can break my momentum at exactly the wrong time.

Another drawback for me is the restrictions around Codex usage. Since coding support is one of the main reasons I use ChatGPT, those constraints stand out more than they probably would for a lighter user. Overall, I get a lot of value from the product, but in my experience the main tradeoffs are still accuracy issues and usage caps.

**What problems is ChatGPT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ChatGPT helps me tackle a broad productivity and execution challenge. In my consulting work, I’m constantly switching between coding, research, documentation, planning, PRDs, emails, and client communication. Without a tool like ChatGPT, each of those tasks would take longer and usually involve more context switching between tools or starting from scratch.

The biggest benefit for me is speed. ChatGPT gets me to a strong first draft faster, helps me think through ideas more quickly, and accelerates both technical and business work. Whether I’m outlining a document, polishing communication, researching a topic, or getting support with code, it cuts down the manual effort needed to keep things moving.

It also adds versatility to my workflow because I can rely on one tool across many use cases instead of juggling separate point solutions for every task. That makes me more efficient overall and helps me move faster as a solo consultant. I still review the outputs carefully, especially when accuracy matters, but overall, it lets me execute more work in less time.

**What do you like best about ChatGPT?**

I love using ChatGPT for research and various unique tasks like drafting, graphic design tips, and book insights. It saves me a lot of time that I would normally spend manually researching, organizing, and presenting information. What I like most is its competence and adaptability; it feels like having a real physical assistant next to me. Over time, as I interact more with ChatGPT, it understands me better and starts giving more personal recommendations tailored to me as a unique individual. Initial setup was extremely simple, just like texting another person. Among other tools I've experimented with, ChatGPT has been the most stable for me.

**What do you dislike about ChatGPT?**

Sometimes, about once in 40 to 50 attempts, ChatGPT tends to hallucinate with the answers, especially when the chat has become very long. The answers it gives can be highly unrelated to the question.

**What do you like best about ChatGPT?**

The UI is clean and zero-friction — open, type, done. No setup overhead. The API integration is also genuinely straightforward; plugging it into custom scripts or internal tooling takes maybe 20 minutes, and the plugin ecosystem fills most gaps. For AI capability, it handles multi-step reasoning well enough that I use it for security research tasks — explaining CVEs, drafting threat models, iterating on payloads — without needing to switch tools mid-workflow.

**What do you dislike about ChatGPT?**

Context window handling is opaque — it silently drops earlier conversation without any indicator, which breaks long sessions. Performance degrades noticeably under load, and the free tier rate limits hit at the worst times. On the AI side, hallucination is a consistent problem: wrong API signatures, outdated syntax, fabricated citations — all delivered confidently. There's also essentially no onboarding for power users; things like custom instructions or system prompt behavior aren't surfaced anywhere in the UI, you just have to already know they exist.

**What problems is ChatGPT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cuts 1–2 hours of daily context-switching — quick lookups, boilerplate, first-pass debugging all happen in one place now instead of bouncing between docs, Stack Overflow, and editor. For pricing/ROI, the Plus subscription math is straightforward: if you're using it actively, the cost-per-hour-saved justifies it within the first week. It's essentially replaced most of the "let me Google this" moments with something that gives a synthesized, actionable answer immediately.
